We liked the new location adjacent to the bike trail. The ladies behind the counter were friendly. The facilties are clean, and the ice cream was quite good.

This is a nice place to go for some good ice cream. The staff here consists of friendly people and the grounds are nice. The area is fairly busy and seems safe. I like to stop by here for an ice cream when I'm in the area... more often than not, when I am leaving Sleeping Giant State Park.

I love Sweet Claudes, but my latest visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered a hot fudge sundae with Nutella crunch ice cream. It barely had any flavor. I felt like I was eating ice milk with a teaspoon of flavor. Next time, I'll order another kind.My husband enjoyed his dairy free treat. I'm not giving up on them because this was the first time I was ever a bit disappointed.I really like the new location!

Sweet Claude's has been delicious since the first day I went, and always lives up to it's reputation. Took two friends today who had never been and they were thrilled with their choices (Nutella Crunch got a lot of compliments)! The organization for Covid safety was well thought out, and staff was friendly as always. Will always keep coming back here!

The best homemade ice cream! It’s definitely worth the trip! However, they need to work out making the entrance more clear. That sign is too small and can be confusing to some….

Every time I'm in Cheshire, I stop there. They have great ice cream. If you've never been, it's worth trying.

People were nice but the entire cone was left w.o ice cream. Just 1 scoop on the top. Disappointing for my 6 yr old daughter and myself

First time trying this place and was disappointed. The ice cream is just average. No cards accepted. Cash or check only amid a pandemic, which is very risky and not very safe. Like who carries checks on them these days? So since my ice cream was already made, I had to use an atm, which of course charged a $2 fee and minimum amount to take out was $20. Plus I ordered two large size cups of ice cream and while I was at the atm the lady over the counter packaged both ice creams up, so when I got home I saw I had a medium size while the other was a large. Not only did I have to take cash out and be charged a fee, but I paid for a size of ice cream that wasn’t the actual size I received. Not impressed with this place at all. Payment option was inconvenient and quality of ice cream wasn’t anything special. This place was not worth the hassle.

Very cute little shop, plenty of flavor selections and good options for those who want a dairy-free or just a lighter treat. There is plenty of seating outside and a grassy area you can hang out in too. The ice cream was fresh and the portions were great! I liked that you could get two different flavors in a kids' size.

Excellent ice cream at a fair price for the portion. The Nutella crunch was amazing and coupled with the house made hot fudge...wow. But, I was overwhelmed by the size of the 2 scoop. It may sound like a complaint, but it isn't. Your 2scoop sundae may be $$ but you get a large portion in comparison to other highly rated ice cream shops in CT. They definitely are worth the trip if you need an ice cream fix, just know that the portions are big before you order.

I was a bit disappointed in this selection. My daughter picked cookie dough with gummy bears, I chose cupcake with rainbow sprinkles, my mom had the Bailey's Irish Creme and my dad had raspberry on what was supposed to be a waffle cone but definitely wasn't.My daughter liked what she chose, however she's 10 and it's ice cream... Can't really go wrong in her opinion. My choice was bland at best. I was told it had cake batter that was used when I asked if it was simply vanilla with blue sprinkles... Let's just say vanilla with blue sprinkles would have had more flavor. I was incredibly disappointed. Let's not forget that the young kid working there hadn't even finished putting sprinkles on it and it was already melting like crazy. As I walked outside it was dripping everywhere. I sat at a picnic table and the cup I had melted all over the place. The majority of the sprinkles were in a mess of melted ice cream on the picnic table which then proceeded to drip down between the cracks and land on my pants.I was just flabbergasted at how melted all the ice cream was prior to even leaving the shop. I think someone needs top check the temperature gauges on the freezers.

Best ice cream around! Been going here as long as I can remember and never had a bad experience. The place hasn't changed much since I was a kid but that's the way I like it. Great selection of ice cream, cakes, shakes, tofutti, and more. A little on the pricey side but more than worth it. Great atmosphere all around, will continue to go back indefinitely.

This year they are very disappointing. For many years we have gone there weekly during the season on top of buying our birthday cakes there. Now, I called 2 1/2 days before the next birthday and I got “unfortunately…”.Good bye Sweet Claudes from me and my family!

Lived close to this area for 30+ years and never set foot in here. I don't even particularly like ice cream. Wife wanted to go and I tried the mint chip. It's a simple flavor and I've had it elsewhere many times in my life. But I've never thought about how good it was for hours after until this visit. I'm a convert!

Good ice cream but me and my family were very turned off by the staff using their bare hands to handle your cone and money.I normally eat my cone but I threw it out. I worked for an ice cream shop for several years and not covering a cone was a big no no.Outside looked nice with tables and place is cash only.

Sweet Claude's is not only the CREAMIEST, MOST DELICIOUS ice cream in CT, they have the sweetest staff, too! During this trying time I've found myself parked in their lot, dialing my order in and out they come with a little piece of Heaven in a cup with fudge!!! Absolutely the best treat! See you there!

First ice cream parlor visit of 2020. Excellent Covid-19 procedure into, inside, and exiting the store. Very comfortable. Limited outdoor seating [it is midweek]. Ice-cream is outstanding. Sitting on a bench with spouse and friends on a sunny day while eating ice-cream... nothing else to say.

This place is just great. It's the place to hang out with your friends on a Friday night. Get some delicious ice cream and sit outside. There is only a couple benches, but the grass is just fine. There is almost always plenty of parking, but on busy days pool in a car because there is no even that much parking. Best place in Cheshire to get ice cream.

We've been going to Sweet Claudes for years. It's been great for me since I can't have dairy and they serve homemade Tofutti. They also sell sherbet,frozen yogurt and ice cream that my family can enjoy. It's nice to be able to go out with my family on a warm night and enjoy a frozen treat. The only downfall is that it is on the pricey side. But for the occasional time out, it's well worth it.
