The store has excellent food/treats/accessories for dogs and cats. Its the staff that makes it special though. They coached me through how to feed my Bernese when he was having stomach issues. They took a genuine interest and always ask about how the dog is doing whenever I'm there. The staff is very knowledgeable and have been a huge help for me raising my dog. Its my number one stop for any dog needs. Cant thank you all enough!

My partner and I recently got a dog and we thought we should check this place out. This is now our go to store for all our dogs stuff. Every time we’ve come in we are greeted by the nicest staff I have ever met. Also got this flea and tick spray I love it for hiking with my dog. Great store !

Staff is very helpful. After changing our cats food to one recommended by Northpoint she is more active, doesn't get as many knots in her fur and doesn't stink anymore!

I have never been to the store, but I called in a bit of a panic stressing over my dog's food I'd been feeding. It can be overwhelming when you hear conflicting information online. Beth was super informative over the phone and shared some resources to help put my mind at ease with what I was feeding my dog. I'm glad I got some insight and will continue to feed my dog his current diet, now with confidence :)

Relaxed shopping environment, a great selection of holistic herbs for a variety of pet needs, and a nice bathing space set further into the store. Having the bathing area not at the front of the shop is a great touch, especially for those more anxious fur babies.

My mother passed away leaving me in care of her little "baby" a Toy Poodle named Penny. She is a tiny and fussy pedigree, whom will not eat dog food. Thomaston Feed solved my problems for not only her nutritional needs, she actually eats and comes when I crinkle the bag! A friendly, professional staff who know their stuff about what's best for your furry family members! We love this pet store. They are so helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They carry fantastic supplies (great selection of toys, great beds and scratching posts, and very healthy food brands). They are kind and great with animals. We don’t live nearby (we visit the area often for my parents) and stop here almost every visit. I wish we had a store of this quality near us.

I only started going there this year, on recommendation from my vet, and I've never been disappointed. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. They carry the best of the best in terms of raw food, kibble, canned and treats. They also have a good selection of toys, supplies and almost anything you can think of getting for your furbaby.

We've been shopping here for our dog's food for years (raw organic beef patties) and the staff is amazing! Recently our dog had surgery and had stitches underneath his jaw and near his eye and was unable to eat his usual food. We were extremely worried and overwhelmed. We came in and the staff showed us their collection of dehydrated food that was high in protein but would be easy enough for him to eat. It worked! We also bought goat's milk and bone broth and he loves it. His energy and digestive health has been outstanding during his recovery and we are so grateful for their help. He's healed beautifully and we still feed him goat's milk as a healthy treat.Besides their wide selection of healthy treats & food, they also offer CBD for pets, bath products and food additives to prevent ticks & fleas, and so much more. The staff is always welcoming and willing to help. We live in New Haven and we never mind making the drive here because the quality is unlike anything you'll find in your average pet store franchise.

This is a really nice place. Its clean, organized and easy to navigate.The staff was very nice and super helpful. We brought our Yorkie with us and she got spoiled with treats to try.They were knowledgeable about the different products and helped us pick out the right food for our little girl. They even gave us samples to take home and try. This was our first time there and we were really happy with our experience . We definately will be back.

If you care about your pets like family, go learn here. I always have questions, they always spend time answering. In fact, I just got info on a food manufacturer that I didn't ask for...so appreciated. Nikki taught me so much, love her. The rest of the staff has proven knowledge. I hope to pay them back for everything they have done for my 12yr old lab. No one believes she's 12, it's her diet! Thanks so much!

This is one of the best stores in the area. Nicci is extremely knowledgeable and well-versed on animal nutrition, more so than my vet practice. I am continually impressed at her responsiveness and willingness to help her customers. The variety of foods, toys, etc. is amazing. The new store is bright and laid out nicely. My two dogs are the healthiest they have ever been, thanks to Nicci and the team.

I’ve stopped in from time to time for food and other dog related supplies, but today I brought my 60lb poodle in to use their dog washing station. We’re in the middle of renovations so washing him at home isn’t an option right now. Their tub is super easy to use, plenty of warm water, big towel and they provided very nice shampoo. Will definitely be back for future washes! Well worth the $14!Perfect after a romp at Cheshire Dog Park 😉
