I’ve been to many Dollar Trees in the area. They are usually the same.Close out products and lots of their own brand items.The past 2 years I have noticed that they are selling SOME Holiday decor items comparable to Michaels and Hobby Lobby for a fraction of the cost (usually $1.25 - although in some in some of the posher communities they have small sections called Dollar Tree Plus of which items can cost up to $5).The store in Cheshire is definitely one of the cleaner stores and the cashier there are severely overworked.Each and EVERY time I go there, they only have one cashier with the line 6-15 deep with her going on the overhead speaker between customers saying “Back up” with a pleading and hopeful look on her face.The ladies (sorry boys I have never seen a male at this location…probably accounts for the tidiness of the location) all seem to be very helpful - but as l mentioned the employees who work the register are visibly frustrated.Now that I live in Cheshire, I will probably not be going to the other locations as much…My opinion of the other local stores-Wallingford - 4/5North Haven - 4/5Hamden - 2/5Meriden 2/5

Traditional dollar tree with all the food, electronics, and miscellaneous items you might need for a dollar or less. The employees are friendly and able to guide you to whatever item you need, often at a discount compared to Walmart or Stop & Shop.

We live down the road and it makes this store convenient. Every time I go in it gets worse. I understand that people are having a hard time finding employees but I wouldn’t want to work for the manager there. I have been there several times when the line to check out is across the store and there is only one cashier. I have gone looking for the manager to help open another register. I was told a few weeks ago that she was busy (on her phone in the back) and that we would have to wait until another cashier came in on shift. Blows my mind. Once I told her that I would let corporate know that her customers were not a priority she came up front. She was so nasty that many of the people including myself refused to even go to her. She then commented that the cashier never asked for help. The cashier looked me dead in my face and said that was a lie and she had asked her a few times and never got the help.

I made this review because the manager of the store is very discriminating and kicked 3 young children out of a dollar tree when we were simply trying to shop. She caused a huge scene and disturbed other customers. She’s very rude to kids and causes huge episodes. This is ridiculous. Also, we tend to catch the workers smoking outside of dollar tree. That is completely against the health code. This really was a terrible experience.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DOLLAR TREE!! I WAS GOING THROUGH SOME OF THE REVIEWS AND SAW A NASTY COMMENT ABOUT ONE OF THE MANAGERS AT THAT STORE, MISS LOLA, WHOEVER YOU ARE "DOM" SHOULD KICK ROCKS DUDE, LOLA IS AWESOME!!! SHE'S ALWAYS ATTENTIVE, GOES AN EXTRA MILE AND VERY PLEASANT! SHE'S THE REASON I EVEN GO!!!!! Very disappointed! This was once my favorite store but now the worst! Horrible customer service! We waited in a long line for a few items. My young son needed to go to the bathroom but the woman at the register said it is not open to the public. We were customers. We will not be returning.

Even though I know the prices crept up, it's still a great experience. I only take one star away for that cranky clerk (hope they got rid of her) that used to try to tell people to return their carriages to the right spot. Who does that? We're not in your house! Yeah, it might be rude and lazy for a customer to NOT return it correctly, but that's not the way you handle it. Tell her to leave her gripes at home or go work in manufacturing where she doesn't have to deal with the public. Wonderful place to get things like sensitive-tooth toothpaste and greeting cards.

Dollar tree store in Cheshire is always great, find lots of goodies in there. I love their holiday items, great selection and i also find many brand names. The only problem today was they only had one poor person on the register and the line was down the aisle. they were short handed and people had a long checkout wait.

My husband and I absolutely love the Cheshire dollar store! I have been to so many, Cheshire always has a great selection of different items! Items that you cant find at any of the others. The quality of their items are excellent! I have found Cheshire Dollar Store to always be well stocked! Also I have no complaints on the customer service😊I always drive out of my way to go there❤

I used to live in Cheshire and went to this Dollar Tree all the time. I moved and was visiting my mom and had to pick up a few things for her. It was Saturday morning and the store was a mess. Things were just thrown all over the place. Then when I checked out, the cashier was texting through her smart watch while ringing me up and when finishing with the previous customer.

Customer service sucks. Cashier wouldn’t break a 50 dollar bill didn’t offer me a bag and thought I would was taking the basket outside Lola go look for another job

Absolutely the best Dollar Tree I have ever been in. It's clean , it's well stocked , has items that I can't find at the store I usually go to. I talked to all the staff that I found in the store including the cashier and praised them for how nice their store was.

HORRIBLE costumer service, rude, snapped at people and waited a long time in line which we didn’t care but apparently the employee was mad about everything and took it out on the customers. Walked out and shocked with this behavior!

Came here today to get my grandma, who lives in Cheshire some cleaners. I had the nicest cashier, Jeremiah. He was so pleasant and nice. This was a positive shopping experience

This dollar store is my favorite. I don’t even bother going to any of the others. Greeting cards, teaching resources, wrapping paper, foil balloons, kid craft supplies/prizes, poster-board, Excedrin, gum, and holiday/party supplies are just a few of the items I purchase here. It is one of the cleaner and more organized dollar stores I’ve been too.

This Dollar Tree was great for finding items to be used when making clay objects: textures, shapes, funnels, holiday items. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon.

PRO'S:Great store where they have a wonderful selection of cards, wrapping paper and gift boxes. A good selection of seasonal decorations.CONS'S: There is no "public" restroom even though you are a patron of the store You are advised to use the McDonalds restaurant next door...very unhappy with this policy..

Lots of great stuff for $1.00!! I can seriously spend hours in there, plus they always have new stuff. Just remember, you get what you pay for. Overall though, excellent products and friendly, smiling customer service. Also, very well lit and nice and clean.

This is THE BEST Dollar Tree that I have visted!! So many options, fully stocked shelves! All locations should be like this.....I've visted locations in Missouri and Illinois when I lived there. It took me three months since I moved up here to CT find a decent store - empty shelves throughout the store. Finally, I happened upon this location. This is my go to location.

Very useful items for only one dollar. Shelves are always well stocked with products. Friendly staff. The store is very popular so checkout lines can be long at certain times of the day such as lunch and during the evening rush hours.

Shopped for 45 minutes and finally when I went to pay I removed a dollar tree card which had some credit it on it from my last visit where I was sold a few packages of Turkey bacon which were a week over the sell by date. I went there to use the credit and maybe spend a few dollars. When I got to the checkout I found out that the internet connection or phone line was down and could not take my credit on the card. I want to point out that THIS WAS NOT the fault of employees. However, overall experience with the dollar tree has left much to be desired. Some of the items such as candies and soft drinks cannot be beaten so I will most likely continue to shop in hopes that my experience improves. That being said I just can't rate the experience very high seeing as I spent 45 minutes and walked out with zero goods and a decent amount of frustration. Probably wouldn't have posted anything if Google had not automatically asked me about my experience (which it does at every location now) seeing as that it didn't break my heart or ruin my day but caused a legit amount of aggravation.

This store have only one issue one of the associate Al have been doing racist comments about afro Americans calling them with the "N" that this store have 4 "N", I felt offended because I'm both race. We all know we living in a difficult time where racism is REAL.

My first time on that store at tha location . i was like a kid on a candy store amazing place. Lots of variety things at the freezer went crazy with so many good stufd nice and clean nice cashiers very friendly i hope stays like that i rather ride 30 min to get there and not 10 min to go to the one in new britain ct people that works on that store has no manner .store its always dirty since the min u walk in till u get out barely nothing good there they only sell garbage thats why i dont even go there no more thank god i found this one and i have tell all my friends about it to go back with me and shop 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
