I like it because they have pretty much everything from tools to heaters dishes even kayaks! Also a wide range on baking and health food store type foods. Also carry a section with a lot of international things from cookies, chocolate to olives to sauces to whatever and all types of groceries. Prices are reasonable………. I don’t work there I promise!

I've been to quite a few OSJLs in Rhode Island. This one in Canton, CT is definitely my favorite. The building is modern and the shelves are always stocked and organized. The employees are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The parking lot is big and there are enough cashiers on duty where you don't have to wait in line too long.Now for the items, it's a wonderland full of fantastic and affordable items. My favorite would be the food section (duh), because you can find snacks that you can't find in other stores.They sell all sorts of items from kitchen stuff, seasonal items like shovels/sleds, jackets, shoes, clothes, home goods, etc. Most likely what you're looking for is at Job Lot and for a fraction of the price.Sign up for their Insider's card for coupons. They are also a great company because they often donate to charities. I'm a regular because I love that store!

January 2023 - One of the things I always go to Ocean State Job Lot for in the winter is their large bags of bird seed. Looking just for sunflower seeds to blend with a variety mix bought from a local supplier, I saw a twenty pound bag for twenty five bucks, flipped it over to see where it was from and saw the grown and manufactured in the U.S.A. seal. Sold. I appreciated the nice employee in the parking lot putting the bag in my car for me.This time of year they have calendars for three bucks if you need one. A nice selection, too, when I was there. Not just pets and butterflies if you want something more scenic or artistic.#They have seasonal items, food items, linens, rugs, clothing, reading glasses, bathroom and kitchen supplies, toys and tools all for a good price.

As discount stores go, this is one of my favorites. They have a very good selection that tends to be seasonally-oriented (driveway markers in the fall, pool chemicals in the summer, etc.) and some of the items have terrific prices. They carry a little bit of everything including some dry grocery items that can be a great bargain. My go to place for all those mundane household items you have no desire to pay top dollar for.

Good for certain items, things I come back for are the flower pots that usually have a good selection. Dog toys & cleaners. The store needs some new stock, seems like its the same ole stuff for years now.

The cleanest, most organized Ocean State Job Lot I've ever been inside. The architecture reminds me of a Bass Pro Shop. The staff and customers were all friendly.

I've always shopped at OS.However we just moved to Canton recently from BRISTOL .This OS is the BEST one around, helpful ,good attitude,friendly ,clean ,stocked with great stuff ,even name brand stuff! And POLAR grapefruit seltzer. ✌️🙏😎the dude at the front of the store as you walk in, with long black hair ,excellent employee !

Okay, one detail. Some of the cashiers at these stores (not necessarily this one, I go to several different ones) take it upon themselves to decide how you want your receipt (which is supposed to be YOUR choice on the card screen), and always decide on paper. I suppose this is to keep things moving, but why not paper AND email? I inevitably lose the paper receipt and hate collecting piles of paper, this is the 21st century. Then when you want them to re-ring, they look at you like you're some kind of trouble maker (not relevant that I actually am).

This is my go-to Ocean State store. They are jammed with everything and anything I'm looking for. Yard stuff, pool supplies, clothing, housewares, snacks, spices, and tons more. The manager runs a good ship, and the associates are super helpful and friendly. I love this store!

Very convienient alternative to Walmart for various items, with the plus of having many interesting "out of the ordinary' items you don't normally see in mainstream store chains, especially in food items. But, those items are not kept in stock all year rounds. Different items come and go. Still my preferred 1st choice over Walmart whenever posdible.

I guess it's purely a coupon place now. The prices of several items are far above other retailers like Amazon which offer better support and returns. I thought this was a wholesale type place, buyers should not assume they are saving money

Ocean State has some good deals and it seems to be worth going there once or twice a month. You might find grocery items, a few clothing items, and some household items such as window blinds, pots and pans , etc. Seems like they could use a little more space as some aisles are a little narrow.

My first trip to OSJL was like a field trip. It's a great little odds and ends store with reduced prices. Was surprised to see a number of items I came across.

I always enjoy shopping at Ocean state job lot. I find some decent deals on SOME of the things I need for the yard, pantry & workshop. Isles can be a bit cramped at times, especially on weekends. Employees are friendly 95% of the time, I guess the other 5% are just human and having a bad day.

Overall a nice place to go. I would sum it up by saying it ranks somewhere between a dollar store and Walmart. You'll find a lot of cheap, cheaply made things. You'll find off brands and items that are off season. You'll also find some good items at good prices. They have a variety of items from housewares, clothes, garden items to tools, selection of items can be a little sparse in some areas but it's worth going to on occasion to find some interesting deals.

It was a rainy day and Debbie came over and switched my wet cart with a dry one and when I was struggling with lawn stakes falling out of my cart, Debbie again came to my rescue and found a box to keep them stable. I'm big on good customer service and so appreciate an employee like Debbie!!!

Constantly changing store. Unpredictable what they may have or not have. Notice quality has gone down. Store needs a deep cleaning. Feels run down. Food section is an odd collection of foreign made food. Good selection of Bob's Red Mill food and gluten free mixes!

It was ok. The isles were blocked in certain places, I guess to give some kind of flow.. I dont know, but that was annoying. Prices are going up, like everywhere. The folks who work here are friendly and helpful, so that makes the shopping better.

Friendly staff, great selection! This place was packed with good deals worth hunting for. Give yourself at least an hour on your first visit to wind through the aisles and discover what they have. Everything from patio umbrellas to an entire section of readers to a surprisingly great food section. Whole cloves were the best deal I've ever seen anywhere along with lots of other great foodie gems! Check out the kitchen section for lots of sushi tools and other fun gadgets!

Good size location, plenty of useful stuff here. Prices usually really good. And great place for seasonal items. This Canton location also has friendly staff that is very helpful in helping place orders for delivery or loading up your car for you.
