So I took my kittens here to be vaccinated and it didn't end the way we were expecting. Even though things went super sideways the staff and vet here were kind and welcoming. I will gladly bring my pets back here for vaccinations because of the staff and how caring and gentle they were.

I just moved back to CT from another state. I was blown away by the Petco on Federal Rd in Brookfield. The employees were friendly and helpful, the store is very clean, well stocked and had a great selection. I bought live crickets and mealworm and was very happy with the quality of the feeders. I’m happy this will now be my local Petco!

If I could give it no stars I would. I spent an hour waiting to be helped by the small animals, I walked around the store looking for an employee, and the lingering smell of marijuana floated around. Not one employee stopped to help, one blatantly walked right up to me and turned. I couldnt open my mouth fast enough to ask for help before she was gone, so I couldn't be rude. Only as I was leaving did a lone cashier with no customer just stare at me as I walked out. Today 29 Feb 2024 at 6:27 pm now.

I took my old review down since a lot has changed at this location since then!The staff there is extremely helpful and when my pup freed' himself from his harness, all of them went into protection mode- closed the doors and helped me to catch my little booger and assisted me to put a new- better fitting collar on him!Every time I go in there with my dog, both of us are greeted and made feel comfortable.My dog especially loves to visit and cries when I just drive by 🙃

The service manager Pat was the most competent and compassionate person my wife and I have had the pleasure of meeting. He placed our concerns at ease and took the time to explain in detail how we could treat our fur baby. He is a true asset to the Petco family. Keep up the awesome work Pat.

All I can say is WOW. I came in to bring my new rescue Gilligan to get his nails trimmed without an appt, and Shannon helped me right away and told me all I needed for him. She was kind, knowledgeable and considerate, and most of all quick and gentle with my new little dog. I recommend them highly for your grooming needs. I'll be back soon again and have them spruce up my little guy! Thanks again.

We went to check out the Store as well as the Adoption of Greyhounds. Store was immaculate, well stocked and organized, pretty busy and after talking to an Adoption Counselor, looking to get an ex-leader. Beautiful Dogs!

The staff at this Petco set the standard for amazing service and knowledge. They were able to take us from knowing nothing about bearded dragon ownership to feeling confident enough to leave the store with our new pet. Amazing!

I dropped off my dog for a grooming appointment today, picked an extra service for buffing his nail. The service wasn’t done at all , even though I got charged and it was supposed to be included. Paid almost 150 dollars. Very disappointed with my service.

Great experience here at the fish department. Andrew was especially helpful in helping my boyfriend and I select some bottom feeder fish for our 55 gallon. We ended up adopting 9 surrendered catfish here. They're great additions to our tank and they are getting along great with our fancy goldfish. We have had them for 2 days and one female catfish is already laying eggs all over the tank. Happy to have given them a home where they are comfortable and cared for.

Amazing staff at this. Petco was having trouble finding calming pills for my 13 year old dog, and they helped me find them. A lot of stores they would let you walk around till your head fell off. So thank you. My son also loved seeing all the animals in the store and fish.

Always a fun trip to petco. My kids LOVE coming here to see all the animals lol the staff is hit or miss. Some are super friendly and some act like you're invisible.

This review is specifically for the aquarium department. My sons and I regularly make the trip out specifically to this store. One of the aquarium specialists (I believe his name is Brian) is repetitively and consistently helpful, friendly, professional, and super knowledgeable. He’s given us tons of great advice and recommendations that are based not only on his extensive working knowledge of the department but also from his own personal experiences. The aquarium department in this store is always immaculately clean, well stocked, and the fish are very well cared for. Next level aquarium experience, like what you would expect from a specialty aquarium shop.

I stopped by 2 nights ago to get geared up for adopting a 4 month old kitten. When I got to the register Aidan was at the checkout and he was assembling my plastic kitty carrier, which one of his co-workers was nice enough to hand off to him. Aidan was extremely kind and professional.He asked me if I wanted to sign up for something, but me, being impatient and always in a hurry, I had pleasantly declined. Aidan didn't push it, and while he was scanning all of my merchandise we had a wonderful conversation about his army of pets at the house, and he was laughing at my jokes. (Poor Aidan)When we were almost done he sheepishly asked me again if I would like to sign up for whatever it was they were offering, and I was about to say "no" again, but then he kindly interjected, "You'll save 17 dollars". All of a sudden I was like, "Yes please". Seventeen dollars is a lunch at the sushi place.Thanks Aidan for bearing with me and not giving up! Aidan has a real natural way of disarming people, and i can see him moving up in the organization. He's great with people, and I'm sure that he's going places. - Thanks Aidan!
