I've been coming to this store for at least 20 years and I'm glad it's still around. I can almost always find something beautiful to add to my garden here. I don't always feel completely welcome, but I'm not coming for the social aspect of it.Update- Opened on time even with the snowfall and I got suet on sale. Very happy. Thank you!

Sale sign states 4.25 or smaller pots $6.50 for 4 or more i bought 6 plants rang up much higher. Showed store staff sign that what I bought was 4" pots. But register says quart staff would honor sale price this is classic bait and switch beware

Smithland Agway is one of my favorite stops. Keitha and her staff are friendly, helpful and there when ever you have an issue or question about any of the products in the store. It’s a store you can walk into with a nice greeting and a big smile. Grateful to have such a place for all my garden and pets needs. A very special Thank you!, to Keitha and her staff!

Keitha was a delight to work with. Very professional, very knowledgeable about the product and beyond patient with our patio furniture purchase project. The furniture was assembled perfectly and the delivery team did a great job dropping off all of the items to our location. I would highly recommend Smithland Pet and Garden Center and look forward to working with them again.

Went to Agway to get supplies for my new puppy. Was so impressed!! Two female managers helped me. They made recommendations for all the questions and concerns I had, and are so knowledgeable about the products in the store. They greeted me, and really seemed to care about helping me be prepared. I feel good about the food they helped me choose for my puppy. The store gave me a great feeling, from the staff, to the appearance and cleanliness. I certainly will continue shopping there for my pets - and I can't wait to see what kind of gardening things they will have in the spring!! What a great experience, I'll definitely be returning. Wish I had visited this store sooner.

Yesterday afternoon I was shopping at Smithland-Agway in Bethel, CT and purchased a shopping cart full of small vegetable plants. At home, I realized I had bought too many plants and called Smithland this morning asking if I would be able to return a few and was told yes. When I arrived, the cashier was polite, but the manager whose name was Michelle decided to interrogate and disrespect me in front of other customers! She was harsh, not professional or pleasant! I've been a customer for 20 years and have never encountered that kind of treatment by anyone who works there. It was less than 12 hours, the plants were well taken care of and in good condition. I could understand not accepting return's without a receipt but this wasn't the case! What is Smithland's return policy? Customers should be aware of it in advance so this doesn't happen to anyone else!

I recently ordered a POLYWOOD set and a Weber grill and I had the best experience in this store. From the moment I walked in on the afternoon of Saturday April 15 , I was greeted by a cashier who immediately guided me to Keitha to begin my search of POLYWOOD furniture. Keitha was so helpful and patient and guided me to the best decision. Based on how smoothly that went I decided to also purchase a Weber grill. Your store is great and I will recommend you to my family and friends. Thanks so much !

We love this place! We take our dog almost every weekend so she can say hi to her favorite employees and get a little snack for later. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about all departments. The store is always clean and well stocked.

When they were Agway I stopped going because lack of cordial customer service. My wife continued to shop there. Today, she experienced what I experienced , rude behavior by a manager. Another lost customer.............

I have to say every time I go there the employee and management is always so very helpful. On my most recent visit I was looking for flowers for my flower bed I was very undecided on what I wanted, but with the help of the store manager I walked out a very happy person. She helped me Tremendously. Her knowledge of the plants were amazing. I will be going back next weekend for her help my next project.

Little out of the way but, nice scenic drive. Great selection of cat, dog, small animal, farm animal foods, treats, toys & supplies. Also, many locally produced items, lawn & garden products and some super cute little things.. all very reasonable in price. Very friendly, helpful staff in a well kept, clean store. Will definitely go again.

A big shout out to Keitha the Store Manager for going above and beyond to help me with myriad of lawn care questions. Being a hands-on manager she was super busy when I visited the store last weekend but she would not let that stand in the way of helping me with words of advice on addressing some of my lawn care challenges. As a Ridgefield resident the Danbury Agway would normally be my go-to store but my experience at Bethel Agway was completely different, something I truly appreciated. Driving a few extra miles to Bethel to get the high level of service would certainly be worth it. Thanks Keisha!!

Not a happy customer: -late in the day I bought two bushes which store help kindly loaded into the back of my van . At home when I read more about what I had purchased, I decided they were not right for the place I wanted to put them. I returned first thing the next morning to exchange them for two slightly more expensive plants, but was told I could not make an exchange because of the virus, even though I had not even touched the two plants they put into my vehicle. I thought that was a bit unreasonable and I'll take my business elsewhere

Very unprofessional and unpleasant staff. My review is not because of a "new guy". He was actually the most pleasant person in this store. If he made a mistake, it is because of the unprofessional teachers that he has. They are more interested in talking to each other than helping customers. If you can go somewhere else, don't visit this store.

What an incredible store! My wife and I are new to the area and popped in for a VIP Petcare clinic for shots for our pups. We experienced the friendliest and most helpful employees we’ve had the pleasure to deal with in YEARS! Most notably, Donald is a true rockstar. He is someone who truly cares, which is a rare quality in today’s retail world. He made our day and we will be customers for life due the exceptional service we received from Donald and the team!

It pains me to say it but after 10+ years of shopping here (two minutes from my house) something changed within the last two or three years. Consistently bad plant quality, and it is also clear that management could care less about providing quality customer service. Save yourself the frustration and make the trip to the Danbury agway, fantastic plant quality AND customer service.

Was in yesterday and had a great experience, Donald helped us find exactly what we were looking for with everything from lawn treatments, to bird food and everything in between. He was very knowledgable in product application and waited with us until we asked every question imaginable. Service is fantastic here and thats why we always choose Agway when possible, Thanks Donald!

Adam helped me navigate the dog food options for my puppy, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. He told me what to look for in a good dog food and gave me some tips about switching dog foods. Agway of Bethel is our go too store for pet food and supplies.

Ive been an Agway customer for a long time but as someone who has an aviary of seven birds, 4 of them parrots,its not a good place for things like bird toys..they have nothing.I feed my birds Lefeber pellets and Nutriberries and they never have it when I need it. I go more often to other pet places now,where I can find everything I needI also find the large stock of toxic pesticides like Roundup problematic and would prefer to shop somewhere that has more concern for the environment.

They treated me terribly when I had to return a cat placemat dlx plastic/fabric=$10.52 with tax. They insisted that I come to Bethel, when I live in Lagrangeville, N.Y. I asked to speak to the manager and he/she never called me back. I did speak to a supervisor in the store who was not helpful, at all. Now, I am trying to find the manufacturer so I can get my money refunded. There was a huge plastic sticker that went around the placemat. After taking this off, it left a huge sticky mess. I tried to clean it with dawn detergent and the stickiness could not be removed.

Regularly are sold out of products that are listed as available in the computer. Whoever does the buying doesn't seem to care about running out of products every week. Have discussed with management and tried to place special orders for animal feed and it has not had any change in the availability or reliability.

Love a place that allows friendly leashed dogs! Staff is always very nice and helpful. Large selection of pet and garden products... including food and treats with limited ingredient restrictions.

I love this place. All of the employees are super friendly. They went above and beyond today when my 2 year-old was sleeping in the car and took a payment over the phone and even brought my things out to me so I didn't have to get my kid out and wake him up. They're the best, hands down!

I recently bought a grill from Agway of BethelThe grill wasn't working properly.The grill was delivered on a Friday andI called that day. The operations managercame out the next day to try to fix the problem.He couldn't fix the problem and got me a newgrill and assembled it himself and deliveredit personally on that Tuesday.Thank you Agway.

Not so thrilled with their Covid-19 response. The promotional emails promise employees wearing masks & gloves and wiping down the pinpad between customers. None of this is happening.
