What happened to the hot food bar? They used to have a good variety of food choices. I went there at 1 pm today and there was scarcely any decent offerings, several of carb filled ones though, and several hot spups but its too warm outside for me to want soup. Even the salad bar looked lame, rhe number of pans of food was greatly reduced. I left with nothing. Maybe its the time of day? They used to do hot breakfast too but now its just sandwiches well if they're even still doing that. Haven't been for breakfast in awhile.

For the last 2 months I’ve noticed some bottled or jar goods have been moldy prior to opening, 365 brand tomatoes (4 28 ox cans) tasted like chlorine this past month and I just received another dry good that wasn’t sealed and was moldy. Management is aware and will still insist you physically return to the store for a refund, but if you push you can get it over the phone so you don’t have to waste your time going back twice.Not up to standard, severely unacceptable.

Whole food is a nice place to buy your groceries. All kinds of seafood, bakery, cheese products, vegetables, fruits, even cooked soups, ready to eat foods you can buy . Quality is A one but pricey.

Large store, very well laid out. Broad variety of health supplements, meats, nice bakery, pizzeria, good produce, seafood section. Price on the expensive side, many of the offerings could be hard to find elsewhere.

The Avon store is beautiful! Clean, large aisles, friendly knowledgeable staff. Great parking.Better than the 2 West Hartford locations.Worth the trip over the mountain!

I didn't get much here at this whole foods but it is huge and I'm sure it has everything that you need. This grocery store carries a lot more than the whole foods directly. Go to Aunt and I would say if it's 5 mi out of the way it's probably worth the trip because you're going to get everything you want and need there

Spoke to 4 people about putting an item back in stock after I verified they have a bunch. No one was able to place it in for pickup shopping.Seriously!!I person tells me they cant sell that for on line shop. But I've been buying this for 2 years every week . Another one tells me I can come in the store to buy it. No Duh! But the point of online pickup is to not come in the store !!!EDIT. Found several meats exired in this store. Pointed it out to cust.serv.2 days ago I picked an order and lettuce was wet and brown. Noticed bagels are Moldy between where they touch. Seems the last few months quality is down. Please check you expiration dates Avon WF.

Awesome new store. Great, happy and helpful staff. Store was clean. I’m happy that the parking lot has two ev chargers, it’s a great start but they will eventually need a few more in the next few years as more electric vehicles hit the road. Keep up the great work Whole Foods, I’ll be shopping here often and looking forward to many more great shopping experiences in the future.UPDATE: the two electric vehicle chargers have been removed and not replaced. I’m unsure why and the employees weren’t sure either and didn’t know if any new ones were coming. It’s unfortunate especially considering they had on their website that they were going to be adding them to more stores. Whole Foods is supposed to be a health and environmentally conscious company that promotes things like this but took a step backwards in this area of their business. I don’t feel any less of them for this and I will continue to shop at their stores but it would be nice to see the return of the charges.

The coffee bar hours are inconsistent and it’s ALWAYS randomly closed. There’s no place to see whether it’s open or not. Cannot multitask and make many drinks at once. The coffee is better than any other place, but the hassle of getting it isn’t worth it. If you’re going there for the coffee, don’t bother…it will probably be closed.

First time at this Whole Foods as I am new to the area. Gorgeous produce, loads of organic stuff, a fishmonger, no loss for choices in meat and poultry, fresh seafood you name it. Yes the prices are higher but you are putting this food into your body and that's why it's a good choice to shop there. Staff as always helpful and welcoming. I love someone who knows how to pack groceries so nothing gets squished or bruised. Well done Whole Foods!

The guys at the seafood market were pretty rude about everything I asked but the store is beautiful.Updated to say I was there yesterday (2/3/24)and the guy (Paola) at the fish counter was crazy rude when I asked if my salmon could be individually wrapped. He was slamming the fish on the counter and even told me that "we have frozen fish over there". I complained to the customer service desk immediately, it's way too expensive at this store to be treated like that!! Get rid of him!!Update:3/6/24 Paola still works there and he's still mean as heck!

This is best big chain grocery store in the Avon area for high quality items. The fishmongers are great and the bakery is sublime. Within a year of opening this store has become the "go to" for many in town. The only downside is it tends to always be crowded, but they do a good job of moving customers through checkout efficiently.

Well stocked and clean. All employees I encounter are very nice and look like they truly enjoy the job. I love the hot bar and salad bar, as well as the fresh sushi available. Bakery is the best in the area for grocery stores besides Highland Park Market and I just really enjoy coming here. There are deals if you have an Amazon account as well. Only complaint is I wish they were open an hour longer as I like to do my grocery shopping late at night.

This store is still relatively new and always looks clean and organized. Friendly staff and excellent customer service is what sets Whole Foods apart. Prices have come down after Amazon bought them out a few years ago…but it’s still relatively expensive. I typically buy more specialty items here and do my bulk shopping at Costco.

I adore my Avon whole foods! The freshest, food forward types of fruit and vegetables from only the freshest most trusted gardens. The employee team members are always eager and happy to assist when needed. My go to store for all of my shopping needs!

I call this the "Five Star Whole Foods." I have been to Whole Foods markets all over the country and this one is the best. Spacious inside, great selection, eating areas, parking, the Mountain View is worth the drive.

Went to return Amazon and nice lady helped me with kiosk. As my son and I were shopping, Edmond greeted us and was so kind! He saw us a few more times and kept smiling and fist bumped my son and I. The two girls at checkout were also very helpful! Truly a wonderful experience!

A wonderful establishment - some would say the finest Whole Foods in the state of Connecticut. I had great difficulty finding my favorite Clio bars in stock at other WFM locations, but a friendly and hardworking associate was happy to point me to them here. A must-visit for all gastronomes in the Greater Hartford region.

The store is bright, clean, and open. Most things are well stocked, on any given day. Alex, at the hot pizza bar, is an absolute gem of a human being and makes a delicious pie. They have a steakhouse style roast beef in the deli right now (January 2023) for $19.99lb and it is deeeeeelicious. Expensive? Sure, if you compare it to homemade? Actually...wait...no...it's awesome! So grab some before it's gone!
