Generally nice compared to other Walmarts. Only complaint is they either need more cashiers or need to convert assisted checkouts to add more self-service checkouts. There is almost always a line - even in self-checkout area.

Walmart is, well, Walmart...The prices are affordable which deserves 5 stars. I gave it 3 because it's small, doesn't have a full grocery store, and self checkout lines are usually long when I'm there.This location is smaller that the ones I've been to but it's super clean. They have non refrigerated groceries; I usually get baby food, other pantry items, and toiletries here.I haven't had to interact with any employees so no review on that.

Customer Service is horrible.At some point I found myself in the middle of Walmart on my phone telling customer service on site to honor the warranty and they didn't want to.Fun fact ...CS on the phone asked me to return it, so I drove all the way there because they asked me ...And people on site were mad at me ...We are talking about a coffee maker worth 20 bucks, made it clear I didn't really care but was flabbergasted they couldn't get their act together.End up returning the 100 bucks replacement and got one from costco with real customer service.Told the employee processing the return "Bought the same one somewhere else and you know why, don't ask"Will never buy anything like that from Walmart ever again.

This Walmart has the smallest number of departments I know of. No bakery. No deli. This store continues Walmart's trend of fewer brand options for the customer including grocery items.

Te Avon, CT is a standard or smaller Walmart, not a superstore. While it has a good selection of common items, including non refrigerated groceries, it isn't as large and comprehensive as larger stores. Staffing in the sports department, where some items are kept under lock and key, is spotty. On several occasions I have rung the bell there and no one came.

Awful store, always out of items and rude employees who don't lift a finger to help you. Self-checkout only, not a single register open. Plus they lock up controseptaives, probably the one item they shouldn't lock up. I don't buy anything locked up except electronics. I prefer the Westfield MA locaiton.

I recently had surgery and am due for another and unable to walk without a walker or shopping cart. Today I went to this store to try on pajamas. It took me 15 minutes to try them all on, there were no employees or other customers near the dressing room.Suddenly I heard my cart being wheeled away and opened the door to see an older female employee taking it. I called out ‘please stop’ I need it to walk and she said ‘you can’t have it near the dressing room door!’ I picked up my purse and stumbled forward to get the cart that she’d deposited out of my reach. She looked in the dressing room and yelled ‘you didn’t hang up those clothes.’ I said ‘I was trying to save the cart and then I will do it.’ She told me to get out and she’d do it. I walked away and realized I’d left my coat so I went back and she was hanging things up. ‘I forgot my coat’ I said, ‘it’s not in here’ she said. I hobbled around the dressing room door (she was still in there) and took my coat off of the door and put it in my cart. As I walked away she shouted ‘from now on pick up your damn stuff.’ I realize employees are stressed but this is beyond rude. Never again.

The Walmart team at this location are always on point store is clean and organized. Shopping is a lot easier because products are always stocked on the shelves not in the isles on pallets. Great job., 👍👍👍

Do not shop at this Walmart or do business from there, they are such a joke. The lady at the register said yes you can pay a bill and then the next minute in a very rude and shouting voice so that everyone can hear she goes on and says “NO IT NEEDS TO GET TAKEN AT CUSTOMER SERVICE!” Well I was not waiting in line 1:30pm at Customer Service to go and pay a bill, so I automatically left the store. I was hoping everyone else did the same exact thing because I’m sure they were utterly disgusted. I’ll shop at other towns from now on. I would highly not recommend the Avon and I would stay away from it completely, unless you want to deal with miserable employees and you want them giving you nasty attitude.

Terrible store. The one in Hartford is even better. Rude customer support, no employees ever around or answer the buttons when you need something out of a case.Poor stock of items.Just avoid.

I went in looking for dairy, but all they had was a small unit of milk. Not sure if it is because they have a supermarket at the other end of the plaza. But for visitors, maybe have a sign by the shopping carts or by the door. I walked around some of the store before finding an employee I could ask.

Nothing bad to say about this Walmart. It’s one of the cleanest Walmarts I’ve seen and I’ve been going here for years with no issues!

Store hours are open until 11 but walked in at 8:10 clearly carrying returns and so was informed that returns close at 8. If your store is open for business until 11 you need to be accepting returns.

Plastic bins clearly marked at $6.98. So why did the cashier try to charge over $23 for 2? And then offered to give us the litter price for only one, and regular price for the other. Ugh...so sleazy.

This Walmart was well stocked and organized. In fact, I went in to buy a couple of children toys and walked out with a $267 bill! I bought stuff I didn't know I needed. The only negative was the idiot who parked like a jackass and that's not Walmarts fault.

I enjoy going to my local Walmart in Avon since it's not that busy and especially the price is usually a little lower than everywhere else. Clean store and find everything relatively easy. Need more cashier's but besides that no complaints.

The employees are lazy and rude when the price rings up incorrectly at checkout. They'd rather waste time lying instead of actually correcting it in the computer. Ridiculously frustrating.

Frustrated as I waited in the electronics area for at least 30 minutes. Had hit the buttons for requesting help multiple times and even went up to the customer service desk to ask for someone to be paged. Ended up obnoxiously holding their doorbell button for 10 minutes until finally someone came by. I had seen 2 other people also needing help in electronics. It makes me wonder why Walmart tries to sell electronics if there is never anyone to assist customers

Went here late to shop for my son’s off-to-college checklist. Good lord. Still spent $500 on toiletries and meds. Lmao.Nonetheless, it’s likely the best Walmart experience. 👍🏽BTW: Walmart doesn’t qualify for more than 3 stars.

Empty shelves, out of too many things. Also have a lot of employees standing around chit-chatting, blocking the empty shelves. Its usually not this bad. Also I need to make a formal complaint on one of the female managers, but I'm thinking of doing that in person. Walmart on Farmington Ave. In Bristol is going to lose a few customers. I know of 7 that now go to Target or Walmart in Southington .

went to the Avon store at 8 o’clock this morning Wednesday to buy mulch. Pulled up to the garden area and asked the gentleman outside if he would help me load the mulch in my car and he told me it was not his job. Continued inside the store went to a lady at the register. She told me she wasn’t open yet and she didn’t know where I could pay maybe self check out. She asked the greeter if she could help me in the greater said no. I then went back waited with another customer who was also waiting. No one came for five minutes. Then approach the greeter again and asked her if she could assist me so I could buy some mulch. She said no it wasn’t her job. Told her it was my job to go across the street to the hardware store where a gentleman cash me out and loaded my car and I was home within 10 minutes from there.I guess all the jokes and derogatory remarks about Walmart are absolutely true, even in a more affluent area like Avon.The Avon, Walmart pharmacy is absolutely top-notch, but I certainly will not be shopping there for anything else.
