We've stayed here twice and enjoyed ourselves both times. Decent amout of activities to keep you occupied if you want, beach area, 2 playgrounds for kids, new rec hall. I like that most roads are paved for the kids to ride bikes/scooters.

My grandparents have been camping here since the grounds have been built! I've been visiting since before I could even walk, & this - to me - is an extention of my home. I hold this campground very near & dear to my heart, and it's grown tremendously over the years! They've really put time & effort into making this beautiful campground, a family playground! There is SO MUCH to do there!! Tons of activities for the kids, & for the adults - definitely recommend checking this campground out!!Food & drinks: Cravin Haven food truckNoteworthy details: Multiple horseshoe pits, multiple ponds, outdoor swimming pool, fishing, game room, multiple playgrounds, basketball court, baseball field, mini golf, RC car track, walking trails, & MUCH MORE!

There was a lot of activities all weekend long which was wonderful. I also appreciated the dog poop stations placed in all the different locations for our use. Very kid friendly, and all 3 kids enjoyed themselves. The public restrooms are clean, but freezing cold because the heater wasn't on. I was surprised that it did get very quiet right when quit hours went into effect which was nice. The staff was so friendly and helpful. My complaints are that weekender sites are a little small and you have to share electric and water with the sites behind you. We had to wait until morning to have the neighbors unhook the water line to their camper so the y junction could be put back on and we could share it. Also, people parked golf carts on our site and vehicles because they had a food truck across the street and our site became a parking lot for people even though they could see me and our tent on the site. People also used our site as a cut thru for getting to the bathrooms.

This past weekend we had the opportunity to once again visit this magnificent campground, but just for the day. Extremely dear friends are seasonal there and they celebrated a birthday. Approximately 50 people all celebrated a birthday where it was so evident to see the love gor each other. The last time my wife and I were there was back some 25 ir so years ago when 17 families stay there fir the July 4th holiday. Back then it was an awesome time and it still seemed to be, if not more, a friendly and caring place to share with others. The party was a a rec hall where the last time we were there it was just a pavilion, but now it has walls, lighting, heat, and what looked like, soon to become a kitchen area. It was great to see the growth over the past couple decades they have accomplished. We had just a little bit of contact with staff there, but even just the minor contact, it's the same. Friendly, genuine smiles, waves, just major concern to make sure there were no problems, going out of their way to show us where we were going when we first arrived. One of the staff members, in their red work golf carts, I think that's what they were, actually just said "follow me....we'll get you there". Even Strawberry Park NEVER did anything remotely as that !!!! The store, rec halls, activities....clean...CLEAN...C L E A N. OH, did I tell you about the cleanliness of the restrooms ?!!!!? They were clean...hehehe. Staff and campers alike were all friendly, but then, I always said for years that campers are a totally different breed of people. My wife and I are seasonal at another campground in northwestern Connecticut, up in Barkhampsted. We started as a holiday weekend back in fall of 1999, and never pulled the camper back home. But if it weren't for the higher price, we more than likely would of been here instead. Attitude, activities, smiles with an occasional handshake, as small as they may seem, go a long way. Brialee has all that PLUS. This campground and its staff should congratulate themselves for having and maintaining such an awesome place for friends and families to get together. To make new memories and friends is something Brialee seems to have done for many, many decades and should be extremely proud of their accomplishments while introducing older and newer campers to the marvelous world of camping. THANK YOU for that, and thank you for all of the great memories. My wife and I will be back.

I have been staying here for years and it was ok but this year was horrible we used to stay there bc we didn't have a home and we stayed in the winter last year but this year the owner didn't let us bc someone complained about us "living there" and he didn't give us a earlier notice so we had to rush to get a house and he also said it was illegal to stay in the winter but it wasn't last year also people stayed up past quiet hours playing music we were playing music kinda loud and it wasn't quiet hour and we were told to turn it down would not recommend coming here.

Overall the campground was very nice. The sites mostly surrounded 2 large ponds which housed activities. Alot of people fish the ponds too. Sites were decent but very rocky which was a bit of a pain for tent stays. It very much seemed meant for camp trailers. The campground is also very dog friendly which is a huge plus but take note, there's are alot of dogs!! Facilities all seemed clean and maintained which is why rooms were rated 4. While I didn't interact with alot of staff, those I did were very friendly and helpful. The campground also offered alot of activities for kids and families. I gave location a 3 based on site conditions, site proximity to one another, privacy, late night noise, and other considerations.

I love this campground. This was our second time visiting here. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to sign up for next year for the summer seasonal, but I was told the owner did not want to offer it anymore. It would be so nice to stay here for the summer they offer so much!

The people make this place. You can tell it's family run and not a big chain. The people were so welcoming! They made our midweek trip so fun. The cabins were gorgeous and very clean. The boat rentals a great deal. Game room also fun!

Just finished up our 1st trip with Brialee and out of the half dozen campgrounds we hit this summer it is one of if not our favorite spots. We were in the deluxe sewer sites and they were plenty roomy and level. The grounds were clean and very beautiful wooded setting. Lots of seasonals but everyone we encountered was very friendly and lots of kids running around being kidsWe were there in the "off season" but the weekend was filled with activities littetally all day. We were going all day and didn't hit half of them.Cant wait to make some trips there next summer to get the full experience.Of all the places we've hit this is the only one we'd consider going seasonal at.

Great campground and lots to do for the kids. Only problem is the amount of traffic on the roads all day with cars, bicycles, trucks and many golf carts blasting music. No one seems to want to walk. Now for the positive …. Pool area, rec, laundry and bathroom were nice. There were lots of activities planned from tie dye shirts, live bands, bingo and many other things to do.

I have been camping in CT for over 30 years and have been to just about every park in the state. Brialee is absolutely my favorite place to camp with my family. There are lots of activities for all ages and lots of amenities for all types of people. The swimming area beach is clean and kept up better than most places. The park is also clean and well maintained. They continuously invest in their park and create a new and fun features regularly. The staff is very friendly and has always been helpful in every way possible. The vibe here is very fun and kid friendly. If you like it quiet and desolate this is not the place for you. But if you like to be surrounded by fun and friendly people, happy kids, and a staff that is easy going you will absolutely love this place. Also the fishing is great and cabins for rent are absolutely amazing. I like to check out different places but my family is seriously considering going seasonal here because it just excels so far above the rest. To the Brialee team- keep up the great work! This place is amazing because of you.

I camped with my family and friends at Brialee for the first time, during Memorial Day weekend 2019. Everyone around the campground was friendly, including the staff. The campground is kept clean and, the campers were civilized. Kayak, canoe, and pedal boat rentals, ceramic painting, bingo game, gem mining, etc. were offered at a low price which is great! This place also offers a pool (with no heat), a splash pad, two playgrounds, fishing, horseshoe, baseball and volleyball field, mini golf, kids crafts, "beach area" etc. To add, you can bring your dog :) There's a van/snow cone truck that drove around the campground when I was there...let me tell you, they make the best snow cone I've ever had in my entire life so, make sure to get one if you ever go to this place. Even though most of the campsites are small, the overall experience for our family and friends was great. Our site was #295 and, comparing it to the other sites, I think ours was a decent size. However, it had no shade at all. Luckily, we had a shade tent with us. Anyhow, for the first time visiting, the overall experience was great. We'll definitely book again in the future!

Last year was our first year owning a camper, first time camping at Brialee ever and we did it as a seasonal. It turned out to be a great experience! From the activity staff who unlike other area campgrounds, actually enjoy spending time with the kids and also do great with adult activities, to the office staff and even maintenance who helped me light my oven- everyone made us feel like we had been there for seasons past. Love that there are so many seasonal (and friendly) campers...makes everything feel familiar and comfortable. I really have to say the planned, themed weekends, which is every, are the best. Looking forward to them all. Hope this summer lasts as long as this winter did!

I stayed here while I worked at Hartford Hosp as travel nurse, Rae was super accomodating and got me in for 3+ months! If you are ever bored here then you have a big problem, lots to do for kids and adults! Weekly themes were fun, store has GREAT Ice Cream (and souvenirs/incidentals too!) People are very friendly and always willing to help out, even with my dog while I worked. My only regret is I don't know where my contract will be next summer, hope CT! Thanks for the comfort and security of "almost" home! xoxo!

This is my OPINION and should be taken as such. The campground was a pleasant stay. The site we were on was 289. It is a pull through. But is also very tight to get into due to a small tree that is planted where your truck would need to swing to enter the site. Our site overlooked the lake which was a nice view to wake up to. Getting out of the site took a little effort also. We had to back out, due to the tightness of the seasonal section we were in. This campground is also a seasonal majority .. In our grand career of camping we have found that campgrounds that are majority sites are generally less desirable ,(for us at least) All of the guests were friendly. The staff was a mixed review. They are very helpful, but, seem like they would rather be elsewhere.. the store was a general camp store with things that you would need. They are pet friendly, but have no dog park. They have just upgraded their cable, but we could not get cable all week.(not that we watch alot of tv. ) But it is good on the rainy days.Overall it is a middle of the road campground. Thanks for reading...

If you are looking for a campground for the whole family then look no further! This campground has absolutely everything your family could want! Whether it is the outstanding staff or the incredible family owners, it is an 11 out of 10! Don’t think about it, just book a weekend! You won’t regret it!

Last week of Sept hubby and I stayed with my parents in 2 very secluded cabins right on the water. The staff are so friendly, attentive and helpful. The cabin is clean, gorgeous and much more than we expected! We're right on the water and the fish are jumping. The water pressure in the shower is great and hot water lasts a decent amount of time. The mattresses we're not comfortable (hence the four stars), but luckily we brought an extra blanket and placed it under the sheet which helped some.Great place!!! Def worth our vaca money!

This campground is great for the entire family. There are so many activities going on all day so the kids never get bored. Their bathrooms and buildings are very clean too. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone

Very friendly staff, addressed any concerns quickly. The lake is clean and pleasant to swim in as well as fish and go on boat rides. We caught some trout in the lake to eat! There is also a pool with lots of chairs around to sit and sunbathe, as well as a beach at the lake. In addition there are lots of kids, as well as activities for the kids to bond over.

We just camped for the first time here. We had a tent set up. It's mostly seasonal. There is so much to do here for the kids. My kids were gone doing stuff from sun up to sun down. And hubby and I met very friendly people. My only complaint would be how close together the campsites are. Especially in the 200s where we were. But we enjoyed ourselves. And we plan to return next summer.

The drive to get to the park was scenic and well thought out. One-ways in and out so there wasn’t jostling for space on the roads. Our site was 299 and right next to a rec hall and restrooms but I don’t think the restroom was quite up and running yet as the water never got hot. We only stayed one night but the girl behind the desk was sweet and helpful and our spot was large. Plenty of space and nice hard stone to park on. No messy mud. We were a stones throw away from a babbling creek and a brisk walk from the pond. The camp store looked fully stocked and the crew was busy readying the grounds for the holiday weekend. The amenities included water, sewer and 30amp for $28/night! Best deal we found anywhere in the area. Would highly recommend for any family or traveling couple.

This is my 9th year as a seasonal at Brialee and the owner and staff have all been excellent hosts. My familly and I have enjoyed returning each spring to see all the improvements the team has made. They're clearly working hard to make our experience a good one. If you have the chance, I strongly recommend a stay at Brialee!

We stayed here about 2 years ago and we didn’t really like it. First, it was a bit noisy and crowded with way too many activities. We wanted something with kids activities but not every hour in the hour. Also, their game room was appalling. It was dirty (filthy) and teenagers laying on the pool table, being obnoxious and loitering. I went into the game room with my kids and went right back out and told them to stay way. If was disgusting. Not for us.

My daughter and I rented a cabin and absolutely loved it! This was our first cabin camping trip together. We had a little lady bug problem and the staff was so accommodating and friendly! The ladybugs brought us some bingo good luck! The cabin was very clean and beds were super comfy! Can’t wait to go back!

This is truly a family oriented campground. Staff were very friendly and were willing to assist when needed. Campground had many activities which were fun and interactive. Layout of sites enabled gear to be positioned so sites could be utilized fully. However, children riding bikes were abundant and created unsafe situations as they darted in front of golf carts and vehicles. Children on bikes barely missed individuals and dogs walking on roads.
