Not only have I been treated awfully and rudely almost every time I've ever gone to the pharmacy, but today especially. The attitudes of some of the pharmacy workers is unreal. They are dealing with people who are mostly suffering, you would think they would be nicer. Just RUDE and cold. I will be switching to Valley Pharmacy where they actually know how to treat people.

Ooooooh man there are no words. I know CVS Pharmacy sucks to work for, but the way I was spoken to by the pharmacist the other day has me livid. I was visiting from out of town but needed my prescription filled. I went to urgent care, they sent it over, but it didn't appear because of software issues. The pharmacist kept cutting me off as I tried to explain things to him, and just didn't give me the time of day. I CANNOT function with my medication as it is a highly controlled substance, and talking to me the way he did is just abhorrent. Again, I know CVS Pharmacy sucks to work for, but if you're going to be a pharmacist, remember there are people who depend on these medications in order to live and function in society….

Mistakingly went to this CVS for my prescription and the young man with black glasses was very rude to me. Rolled his eyes at me. Didn't even tell me. I asked him to check the computer if my doctor sent in my prescription and he told me "I have no way to check the system for that". He was very nasty. Do not go to the CVS on Pershing Drive.

Continuously being on hold for over 20 minutes is absurd. There are multiple people behind the counter working at all times. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to be waiting for that long on hold for not one single person to pick up. This has happened to me on more than one occasion. Poor patient care and customer service.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am nurse who was told by patient this pharmacy was very nasty to people I went there to pick up medication after being sick. They had cones blocking the drive threw due to there lunch so a line started to form so I got in line like everyone else Caitlyn came to the window when I pulled up and was so nasty and disrespectful I ask to speak to her manger who name was Steven and he comes to the window and is even nastier. I will never give this cvs my business or recommend any of my patients to this pharmacy ever!!!!!! They really need a class on how to approach sick people who are coming to this pharmacy keeping there business running!

I don’t know what has happened to the pharmacy; is it a different management? I have been a customer for the past 12 years ( used to love the store and the customer's service). The past year has been terrible: no carts or baskets to carry the purchase, employees are rude to customers and to each other - terrible experience every time you go there.

Never pick up the phone the pharmacist guy was nice but damn pick up the phone I've call hand full of time and always been on hold for 25 mins or more and never pick up. I'm from bpt I don't want to drive there if it's not ready. Rite aid I loved them never had a problem picked up the phone and I'm stuff was always ready in an hour do better cvs

Can’t speak to a person from the pharmacy over the phone so you’re screwed if you have any questions that can’t be answered by their automated system. I have waited over an hour and have even called the general store and requested to be transferred thinking that the line was broken. Never dealing with CVS again for medications, it’s always a problem. To clarify, this poor review is directed at management NOT pharmacy workers because I’m sure if the pharmacy was properly staffed, they wouldn’t be struggling to provide appropriate services.

you know i never write reviews. ever. i’ve only done it once for a business. honestly. so it’s 2am on a thursday night and i need to go to my local cvs to get some otc meds! while arriving at the CVS location in Ansonia, I randomly ran into a work that I remember so well for an act of kindness so heartwarming (i’m not exaggerating at all, i genuinely promise) that it stuck with me. genuinely. so i remember Mary (the cvs employee) about few months ago. when i was in literally the same predicament, needing melatonin, i walked out to realize that my debit card was missing from my wallet when i was in the car. (and TRUST me I ain’t no lazy guy lol i love to work so my bank account got racks lmao) literally in shell-shocking panic i’m searching head to toe in the CVS in ansonia. coming to close tears almost fully concluding that someone took it (well you know Ansonia ain’t sunshine’s and rainbows to say the least). amidst this panic, Mary also freaking out as much as i am, asked me FIRST being able to tell I was in panic if i had lost my debit card. i screamed with joy “YES”. alright so back to the story from literally just 5 minutes ago, i ran into her literally expressing heavy gratitude for that incident a few months ago. but literally 30 seconds in some old guy that looks like just like Michael Berryman, but much shorter and dressed like poop that literally just looked like he was 3d printed out a low quality 3d printer, came out of nowhere and asked Mary a question that sounded so obviously dumb and scammy and she literally immediately said no. the guy gets all in her face and out of nowhere his linebacker 67 year old looking (she reasonably looked 46) girlfriend who smelt like literal cigarettes and fart started yelling her at Mary’s and became pretty physically intimidating. i jumped in about 10 seconds into yelling and simply said she said no. that’s what it means you overly stubborn and stupid man. so some times goes on and i end up calling the police, so they left. police got here and we were good. i gave my id to the officer and surprisingly i didn’t have any arrest warrants (just kidding). so firstly to the couple who started problems, i hope u read this. but more importantly Mary i hope you’re reading this. Not at all i give a single damn about cvs so i’m not telling you people to go to this lovely location, but i’m speaking for Mary. it’s small and good deeds that all humans are capable of doing that have enormous impacts on people. what if Mary didn’t see my card in time? i could’ve been in an uh-oh. but what if i didn’t come to that store in time, considering Ansonia it’s pretty possible they could’ve escalated and harmed her and rob the store. so if you got this far, thank you for reading, but i challenge you to do one good deed for someone today, cause you never know…GET HER A RAISE!!!!!!!

I had a prescription sent here last night; and immediately got a call it was ready to be picked up (I could not pick up until today and was told that was fine). I called this morning, and the automated voice said I had a prescription ready for pick up; but I needed to speak to a pharmacist anyways so I confirmed with the live pharmacist that it was in fact ready for pick up, but that there was an issue with insurance. So I spent an hour resolving that, called cvs AGAIN and spoke to ANOTHER pharmacist who also confirmed it was ready. So I drove all the way there - while sick - just to be told they don't have it ready and it's not even in their "waiting bin" yet and that I am unable to pick it up yet. This is not the care anyone wants while they're sick, so if you're in a rush I wouldn't suggest them. Even if you call 3 times to confirm it's ready - they're a hot mess.

Medicine ready for pick up. Have to wait an additional time to "mix" the medicine. Small children in store and pharmacist grabbed her prescription and immediately mixed it so we could get out of the busy store.Last month because insurance and prescription limits it was pretty frustrating for all involved so I appreciate the urgency in getting the kids out of the store this time.

It was the worst experience ever. To be harassed and profiled is nuts. Not to mention I was being told it’s their policy to watch people while they shop. And that it took 3 employees to stand behind me while I rang up a $3 dollar bottle of tide because it was in a lock cabinet. Mind you my ice cream was more than the tide I swear I can’t make this up. I recorded everything, I’ve been a customer over 10 years and I’ve never had this happen to me. I was so embarrassed as a man, a father, a local business owner. Why do these kinds of people work here. And then I was told if I don’t like it I can shop elsewhere. I’m going to pursue this to the fullest extent. Being followed and never once asked if I needed help and after pressing the help button on the glass not once but 3 times. And it taking 15 minutes to assist me. These people need to be fired!! This has to stop !

WORST PHARMACY EVER!!!!!!!!! sadly have been wasting my time, energy and patience with this place for years!!! but today i have had enough sent my boyfriend to pick up medicine for me. first time THE MANAGER CURRENTLY said yeah i'm going through the order right now come back a little later I will have one held on the side which was nice of her. but then he returns and someone tells him to again "come back later it is not finished" A WHOLE 3+ HOURS LATER ALMOST 4 AT THIS POINT. oh and lets not forget the employee that simply says "oh i am so sorry about this we had just gotten a truck a couple days ago and our stuff comes in totes and we haven't gone through them yet" HUH?!?!?!?! Like what? I am so lost and appalled this is by far the worst experience I have had at this CVS. Most definitely will be switching my pharmacy ASAP.

Customer service: 0/5 to 1/5Cleanliness: 4/5The 656 New Haven Ave store is a better CVS store than this Pershing Dr store. I had an issue with my online order placed to be picked up at the New Haven Ave store, was sent to this Pershing Dr store to pickup the remaining supplements of my order (because the other store was out of stock), had to wait here for 15 min until I could ask someone for help. The manager refused to help because apparently "their inventory" is on a separate system than other stores. They cannot make any exceptions and told me to literally go back to the other store.I did politely ask them to call the other store to confirm details but they refused to.This is the first time I see such an inflexibility from the manager and the ability to cooperate with other store in the same CVS network. The other store (New Haven Ave) handled the issue in a much professional way. They called me and gave me as much help and alternatives as they could since I was in a rush.Overall, this Pershing Dr store is generally clean and things are organized, but there's nothing special to keep me from visiting this store again based on my above negative experience.

Loving this 24 hour location. They actually had two clearance item tables!! That is rare! The gentleman working there is extremely pleasant, caring and knowledgeable. F.Y.I The front door is usually locked. You have to enter through the side door! Happy Shopping!

I began to get sick at 2 AM and decided to roll the dice on finding a 24 hour store rather than lose a night of sleep. This location was well organized despite being very obviously extremely busy during daylight hours. I expected to wait a few minutes at self checkout for my NyQuil because it was 2:30 AM but no; somebody popped right up and helped me. I'm back in my bed 20 minutes later. I know working 24 hour retail is no joke and just wanted to say bless these people.

Worse customer service. I normally went to Derby branch on New haven Ave. I would never back to this location. I was there this afternoon. The cashier asked me to go to self checkout even I was only next in line. I said I had a lot of stuff and need bags, She said there is bag at self checkout. It was like small paper lunch bags. Did she notice I have a full basket of large items? Three items down after I scanned and I had a issue with the kiosk. The machine kept saying 'help on the way' I assumed the customer service should be able to hear it. I was patiently waiting for them to come but nobody came. I decided to see the cashier, same one asked me to go to self check out. She glanced at me, finished the customer she was servicing and said ‘next in line’. Without talking to me. I was being ignored. I left without buying anything.

Pray to your god that you are never inside on the wrong half of the building in an emergency.Management deadbolts and electronically locks one egress from inside at night until 8am as part of policy, in apparent fire code violation. Manager on duty (Dean) dismissed concerns out of hand and insisted it was not a violation, and then cited an unrelated ADA requirement about the presence of handicapped ramps.Unreal. Unsafe. Uncaring.

I just started going to the CVS in Ansonia in December when my kids and I got sick and the Walgreens we've always used in Hamden on Dixwell and Putnam is just rediculious. This CVS is close to were we live the store is clean but the pharmacy is rediculious always long drive through lines, always assume you don't have insurance , questions you about your prescriptions when your picking up what your Dr just sent over. Yes the women in the pharmacy are 100 percent racist. I picked up 5 prescriptions for myself on March 16th went to take one now and it's wrong I called CVS the women that answered acted like I never filled a prescription there , she said have you ever picked up a perscription here? I said yes on the 16th and befor ,she said she can't find me in the computer and then she said that's what they have and didn't try to solve the problem that it's the wrong medication. The wrong name on the bottle, the wrong color and wrong size of the pull. Again she said that's what we have and that's that. I told her my kids and i will go back to Walgreens , CVS is absolutely rediculious we will take a longer drive back to Walgreens further in Hamden their not 24hrs but they get your prescriptions correct.

don’t get your disposable cameras printed here they lost two years worth of pictures (two cameras) and never called me or contacted me when they came. I literally wrote down my email and phone number for zero reason i cried my eyes out so ridiculous. they could have at least told me when to come pick them up but instead i didn’t know how long it would take and before they used to contact me when they were done.

Won't ever answer phone calls. If they do it's always only one of then answering all calls. Was on the phone on hold 21 min 37 secs the first time, 11 min x amount of seconds 2nd time and 13 min x amount of seconds the third time. It's 10:30 pm!!!!!! ON A FRIDAY!!!! There is NO WAY there is only 1 person in the pharmacy nor are you THAT BUSY at this hour on a Friday night. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

Awful pharmacy. Stay away. It's a large store in a high traffic area. It's clear that the pharmacy staff have no concern for or interest in the customers or the business. They're not only unhelpful but are outright rude and antagonistic. Apparently whether customers return or not has no effect on the staff, and it shows. They have no concern for how long they keep customers waiting. When I was there, they lost my prescriptions. I had received a text that they were ready for pick up. When I got there, the staff couldn't find them. Then they claimed the doctor never responded to the refill request, even though they had texted that it was ready. I later checked with my doctor, who said she definitely submitted the refill request. Throughout the time, they were totally rude and unhelpful, trying to blame my doctor, but didn't call my doctor to try to solve the problem. Meanwhile, they kept me waiting on one line after another, sending me back and forth between the pick up line and the drop off line. Absolutely awful pharmacy
