Beginning Training Class~Ken is very knowledgeable, thorough, and actively participates in training. He brings his pup along for demonstration and socialization. He seems to truly love what he does. I know that I am eternally grateful for for his guidance, teaching and training with myself and Toby. It has made life at home so enjoyable. Ken you're a blessing! Thank you! Looking forward to the intermediate class with you!

I went to PetSmart on a Sunday at 9 a.m. Initially, the people at the groomer did not acknowledge the waiting customers outside. Upon dropping off my English Cocker Spaniel, I informed them that he is very fearful of grooming. Skylar C., the person in charge of my dog, assured me they would contact me if he became too anxious.However, just 15 minutes later, I received a call from PetSmart instructing me to pick up my dog as soon as possible. It took me approximately 10 minutes to reach the store, only to find Skylar trimming (shaving) my dog's legs. To my dismay, they handed my dog back with two shaved legs, a shaved belly, and partial shaving on the back of the front legs.I am incredibly frustrated with the service at PetSmart, particularly Skylar C.'s poor job. It's perplexing why my dog was being shaved when I was on my way to pick him up. I have no intention of returning due to the subpar service and apparent lack of grooming knowledge.

The groomer was absolutely excellent! It was our golden doodle's very first haircut. She was a bit skittish and Bau was kind to us and gentle and nurturing to our Daisy Doodle. Daisy looks adorable! We are in love once again. Thank you ❣️

This is my go to for my fur babies. Always a great selection. Staff friendly and helpful. Many staff there for several years which speaks to good management. I have not used grooming services .

I had a leaking aquarium that was not quite a year old and I was forced to immediately buy a new one to save my fish and my wood floor. couldn’t wait for a torturous warranty request. after spending five hours swapping out tanks and fish and water etc. I then called Lakewood store and asked if I could have a refund because of my difficulties with a warranty process. No dice so I thought well I’ll try the wheat Ridge store. I was helped by two employees, Sam and Faithful who understood the impossibility of the warranty, and simply said bring your receipt in, and we will take care of you. They cheerfully refunded my money and have made me a faithful PetSmart customer for life. No pun intended.

My partner and I recently adopted a little black cat from this PetSmart. The name on her cage was Blackie but considering my complexion, I did not keep that name. We named her Fern (aka Fernice aka Fernie Bernie aka Fernie Bernstein). The folks who helped us out at the adoption center were both so sweet and very gentle with her when helping to move her from her cage into her transport carrier. We also want them to know that she was completely settled and confident that our house belongs to her in less than 48 hours. Her favorite hobby is watching the birds and squirrels enjoy their feeder from her window and sitting on her dad’s lab while he plays video games

I've been coming to this PetSmart on Youngfield for 20 years and never have had a bad experience! The people who work at this location are always friendly and helpful. Faithful is so nice and bends over backwards to get the food my four cats look forward to. It's been challenging with the pandemic, and I have totally appreciated the extra mile she has gone at times. Good customer service is still alive and well here!

We adopted our first family kitten from this location. The staff was super helpful and customer service oriented. As far as the kitten goes, he is beautiful and unbelievably kid friendly. Thank you guys so much!!

The store itself is good and the employees are nice, the problem is the grooming salon. It has such a huge turnover so you can never keep seeing the same person, and whoever you get may not always do a good job. My dog has left with razor burns or not fully bathed, like I think they skipped the bath. His eyes were filthy and I had to cut the nasty fur off myself which is not really what I paid $60 for. I'd recommend seeking out a different, non corporate salon.

We got apple/cinnamon incredi bear treats and squeeky Kong tennis balls 🎉🐾 also thank you gentleman (not sure what his name was) for helping me find one filter to get our fish thru until some come in stock (I've been waiting almost 2 months)

I’ve been bringing my Yorkie to this location for grooming for awhile. Today was the worst experience I’ve ever had in ANY retail setting. I walked in with my 2 children and pup for our 3:00 appointment. The grooming area was not locked, but very few lights on and no one there. So I went back to the front registers to ask the cashier about it. She said “Oh they didn’t call you?” Then she nicely told me that the man at the next register was the manager and he can help me. So I walked over and politely explained to him that we had a grooming appointment and the cashier directed me to speak to him. I still had no idea what was going on. He immediately started berating me. He kept repeating that “he knows they called everyone” and “he can’t have Covid in his store” Sometime during the rant he asked for my phone number. He kept insisting that I gave them the wrong number. I told him my number and (still politely) told him that I received a text confirmation so “they” have my correct number. He then threw his arms up and said “allI can do is look it up” and stormed off behind a door. I did not once complain to this man (didn’t get a chance) and he was so strangely combative and rude. It was so bad that my 8 year old autistic son was covering his ears and hiding his face in my shirt the entire time. I waited a few minutes for him to come back. We finally just left. I’m still shocked by this whole scenario.

Charged $1 more than posted price. When I asked about it, employee said that was the member price. I went and checked the tag and there was no nonmember price. Scummy tactics, got a refund for the correct price.

The lady at the register is way nicer than the lady that got me crickets, next time I go in there I'll get names but the lady that got me crickets didn't tell me that if I got one Cricket more that I would get a discount but thankfully the lady at the register was awesome & charged me for an extra cricket & gave me 36 cents off plus she was super nice. I went there two different times and the lady that got the crickets is rude.

Took our labradoodle in for grooming and she failed twice to behave, meaning she bit the groomer. But I must praise Mady for her perseverance and tolerance. We tried cbd to calm our dog but she was still too anxious and misbehaved. I like PetSmarts groomers and appreciate the effort.

1 star is TOO MUCH! Took my 7 month old puppy in for a hair cut, nail trim etc total bill was to be $67.00. I was on my lunch break when I dropped him off the groomer told me he was new and would have to look up a mini schnauzer cut and it may not be perfect, I did not have time to get my dog back home and he really needed a cut, so perfect or not I am going to do this. When I came to pick him up I found out that he was scared and too wiggly and attempting to nip at the razor, so they could not do anything but give him a bath and that they discounted the price to $32.00! What? I asked why didn't you call me? Groomer states he did, the only call I got was at 4:37 pm which was his pick up time. I went up front and asked to talk to a manager, who was standing back in the grooming department the whole time this was going on. She did not even apologize or tell me how much she was discounting, just discounted the ticket and walked away.#1. My dog has been cut at other places and they managed just fine, what puppy shows up and just stands there without moving, maybe you should not be a grooming if wiggly dogs make you nervous.#2. I signed papers are him getting injured and the plan ect. But never anything that said if your dog doesn't hold still we will only give them a bath for #32.00.#3. Why on earth does a bath cost $32.00????#4. Manager's should be making the situation right and at least apologize.I will not make this mistake again! Thank goodness I have switched my food, treat and bone needs to Chewy and will go to the independently owned groomer who can get the job done even if I have to wait to get in, guess that is why they do their job!

I'm writing this review as a warning for fellow pet owners. I made a grooming appointment for my 6-month old Pomeranian puppy (Toby). The appointment was set for 12:30 p.m. today. I arrived on time to drop Toby off, and one of the associates in the grooming section of the salon kindly takes him from my arms and tells me he will call when Toby is ready for pick-up. I get a phone call and voicemail around 4 p.m., informing me that Toby is ready to be picked up. I'm finishing a bike ride and head to Petsmart right afterwards to pick Toby up. I arrive right around 5 p.m. and head straight back to the grooming area, only to open the door to a pitch black room with no one in sight. I head to the front of the store and speak with an associate to inquire about where I can pick my puppy up. I tell her that the grooming area appears closed, and she reassures me that the groomers don't ever leave until "every dog is picked up". She suggests that I go back to the grooming area and yell out for one of the employees, as they sometimes clean up in the back of the salon at the end of the day. I proceed as instructed and holler out three times, to no avail. Then, becoming worried, I proceed to seek out another employee of the store to assist, and a kind male floor associate raised a brow and gave me a concerned look after I asked about where the groomers were. He told me that he was certain they all finished their shifts for the day and that the salon was closed (obviously, by how it appeared). Suddenly, a young woman who I recognized from the salon earlier that day during drop-off appeared. The male associate I was standing next to asked her if there were any dogs in the grooming salon, and she shrugged and said, "there sure shouldn't be!". She proceeded to walk to the back of the pitch black salon and found my 6-month old puppy. She said, "Oh wow, there IS a dog in here! Guess he got hidden in a corner!".... I'm sorry...Are you kidding me?! How on earth do you happen to forget there is a puppy in the building before shutting down for the day? Absolutely disgusting and inexcusable. Do NOT take your pets here, I beg you.

Alexia was so helpful from the minute we walked in the store. Great customer service skills and knowledge on everything we ask her about the fish tanks. We are happy to say this is our new store we will not go back to the Lakewood pets mart the manager at that store had a attitude from the minute we walked in. Thank you again Alexia for the great experience you are definitely appreciated.
