The staff is friendly, courteous, and interact with any pet that comes through their doors. Their self service, dog grooming station makes bath day easy and pain free. They match any price, online or other store, and make any pet’s need, possible. From Seiri’s vitamins, food, treats, toys, dental, and hygiene supplies, Pet Supplies Plus has it ALL and so, so much more. Veterans receive a discount and special grooming services. THE best store, ever! They have the best prices by a landslide, amazing service (lightning fast delivery plus sweet 'thank you' notes with online orders), very kind staff in-store, and they have an incredible selection of merchandise that you don't readily find elsewhere — from a unique and adorable bakery case of dog cookies, toys, specialty brands, fresh / frozen / freeze-dried food, etc. I'm so glad Pet Supplies Plus exists and will always give them our business over one of the other major chains. Keep doing what you're doing! My friends, family, and I all love your stores! :D

Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. Self service dog wash was great, only $14.I've more to add as I just today, 01/07/2024, had Sarah groom my airedale terrier here at their grooming dept.....She was absolutely wonderful and he looks great 👍Thank you Sarah!!!

Come here for the do it yourself dog wash station. Wash area is always clean and staff is super friendly! Also can't beat the price, a 5 wash punch card is only $40 making each was $8, cheapest price I've found for this!

Reece in the grooming department is great! She got my dog in early and he looks great! However, when I went to the register to pay (with my $10 coupon, read the fine print to make sure grooming wasn’t excluded), I was told they don’t take PSP coupons on grooming because it’s a separate company. I’ve used coupons in the past so that’s unfortunate. Grooming is probably one of the more expensive purchases in the store. Time to find a new groomer…

First and foremost, I love shopping at PSP. I usually shop at the Arvada store. My son wanted a ferret for his birthday. I naturally called the store I shop at. I was told they did not have any. I then called the Wheatridge store, I was told they did have 2 ferrets but I would need to speak to the store manager and she wasn't in. Hmm odd most pet stores just sell pets no matter who is working. The next day we went into the store to inquire about these ferrets. Again we were told we needed to speak to the store manager. The day after that my husband called and finally spoke to the store manager, who immediately told him she would not sell them separately and they would have to leave as a pair. As they are not cheap, he asked her if there was any sort of price reduction she could do since 2 would be 700 dollars. She eventually came back with a discounted price. Which was appreciated. During the process of negotiations, she was emotional, sobbing, and let him know just how difficult staffing that store was. She said she was so attached to these ferrets and on occasion took them home. My husband was uncomfortable and embarrassed for her. But we still wanted to purchase these ferrets. She then asked him if we could come in the next day for a meet and great. I naturally assumed we would be purchasing them and bring them home. As soon as she saw our take home crate, she was immediately upset due to the fact that she made it perfectly clear that we would not be able to do that until the next day. Why you may ask? Because she had neighborhood people coming to say goodbye. She said these ferrets were FAMOUS! Now at this point we could have told her to get bent, but we were excited for these kiddos. So reluctantly we agreed to HER terms. The next day we were there at the agreed time (which by the way was her off time, maybe that's why she was wearing pajamas). She was sobbing and very emotional. She kept saying thing like "I love you girls", "You can't change their names we gave them" (as a consumer, aren't I allowed to do that). She also said we had to hurry up and buy them as they were gonna be to stressed to wait for us to shop for the additional 2 items I wanted to buy. She stomped through that store with such fury, I couldn't wait to get out of there. She wrote her number on my receipt and literally demanded my son call her with updates. I'm so glad the whole ordeal is over, and honestly I will continue to shop at PSP, just not this location.

Called before I took my puppy in for a nail trim. I asked the sales associate on the phone what I needed to bring for the groomer and what service I wanted. The person said, " You don't need to bring anything, just come on in." When I arrived, the groomer was cleaning up, obviously getting ready to leave for the day. After several minutes, she asked what I needed. I requested the nail trim. She then, asked for my paperwork. I told her I had called in advance and what the person has said. I offered to orodimy puppys license and vaccination records via phone. She stated she required the paper copies. Now, keep in mind, I am a new dog owner and do not have knowledge of how this works which is why I called in advance. I was not too pleased but, was asking for an appointment for another time, when the groomer sighed loudly, rolled her eyes and informed me that, I could just call because she was leaving for the night

Went to get a gift card for some family members for Christmas, as this is their favorite locally-owned pet shop. Figured I would grab some necessities for my pets while I was there. The employee was very friendly & helpful, I went home with excellent items at good prices, and my family was very excited for their gift card. Wish I had shopped here myself when I used to live in this area. Cannot speak more highly about the staff & store!

This place is awesome. PetSmart & PETCO are awful.Pet Supplies Plus, has much lower prices than those, MUCH more variety and at least at this this location, the staff are awesome, knowledgeable, helpful and personable.

Prices a bit high. Staff wouldn't let me use coupons even when asked if I could have separate ring ups. Not very friendly staff or might have been preoccupied. One staff member assisted me with carrying heavy items and she was great. The others not so much.

To be fair, I thought a lot about why three stars for this store. The number one reason is consistency - or lack thereof. I’ve been here at times when they had a good inventory of what I was looking for and pleasant, helpful staff. But, unfortunately, my most recent trip was more typical. No stock of the regular dog food I buy coupled with having to search down staff to ask. My search was met with blank stares and that I would have to wait to talk to someone else who also could not help.My frustration is further compounded by the fact that I frequently receive emails promoting great discounts. What good is a discount when they don’t have what you want in stock. As a matter of fact, there is an interesting coincidence between getting a discount coupon and not have the pet food in stock.In the final analysis going to Pet Supplies Plus in Wheat Ridge is “luck-of-the-draw”. Sometimes you’ll get great service and find good product. Other times - not so much.

Everyone here is very helpful and considerate! It seems like they take good care of all the animals. There's a self-wash grooming station in the back that is gated off and very clean, although I wish they had better grooming brushes available. We got our pup's nails trimmed after bathing and everything went smoothly - they were very gentle and patient with our rescue pup.Bonus: they sell crickets :) for those with non-furry pets
