I had a 3 hours drive in each direction and it was totally worth it! The crew in m:w are so knowledgeable and dedicated, and the wolves are amazing. My group was able to visit 3 enclosures, meet 5 wolves and wolf dogs and learn so much from Mike and Moira. We also toured the area, saw the green house and visited the gift shop. It is recommended that you consider donation, wolf sponsorship or just helping out around the property. They accept volunteers on a short and longer basis. My favorite part was meeting the wolves up and personal, and learning that “if you don’t like a wolf to lick your teeth- don’t go into the wolves enclosure”. The 13 mile dirt road leading to m:w is not too bad, but I wish I had a 4x4 instead of my little car (it might be worse in the winter). To summarize: an amazing experience!

A great mission with compassionate, salt-of-the-earth type people. Kent was extremely knowledgeable and impassioned about working with the wolves, and a truly gentle soul. A powerful experience in a beautiful Colorado setting, and an effort worth supporting. This is a memorable adventure absolutely worth embarking upon.

Very amazing experience! The road at the end was pretty bad thanks to the rain but it wasn’t a bad hike and the rest of the road was fine. I loved learning about and meeting the wolves.

My family and I had the most amazing experience today! I've traveled all over the place and I'd say this is one of the best experiences to date. The tour was fantastic, the staff are so knowledgeable, friendly, and we learned so much about wolves. It was very educational and we had no idea the wolves behaviors until now. The best part was our encounter with 5 of the wolves, and lots of kisses from Eden! Such a fun, fascinating and fantastic experience! We highly recommend Mission:Wolf! Thank you MW!

This is an incredible experience. We did the meet and greet where we met, pet and were kissed by live wolves. Then we took a second tour to look at all of the other members of the pack. Not exclusively wolves, there were fox and New Guinea singing dogs.

Apparently there's another place called wolf mission that is using the same name as the sanctuary taking care of wolves they are are selling clothing and coats etc bracelets and necklaces. They are scams. The products are not the same as the pictures very poorly made. Please look into where you are when it cones to these sites. I was contacted by the actual wolf mission which I believed is this site. I recognize doing your research. And maybe not buy online e as most places give u very cheap material. If it's cheap in cost u get what u paid for but I paid 40 each sweater and got what amounted to a 5 dollar shirt.

Amazing place to learn about wolves, potentially meet them and enjoy some breath taking scenery ... wholeheartedly recommend spending the time to go out to Mission Wolf if it definitely worth the time.The staff is friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable ... you are guaranteed to learn something you never knew before ...One nugget i learned is that wolves breath is better than most humans ... totally without smell, i was amazed 😜

Had a great educational experience with my 3 girls (11-14). Learned several new things and held the girls interest. Only suggestion for improvement would have been to have a better explanation of what to expect when planning a visit.Wednesday and Saturday are feeding days, so best time to visit.Rough drive, but worth it.Plan on spending at least a couple hours.

Definitely a must stop situation if you are ever down Westcliffe way. Highly educational and completely safe! Who doesn't love to pet furry animals? The wolves were lovely and the staff was friendly and well trained.

It's an indescribable place. Come for an afternoon visit or show up and volunteer. There's always work for the willing! My girls pulled weeds and chopped wood. We're talking massive weeds on the mountain side with thorns that get into the wolves paws, not landscape weeding. It's a hardworking community of .... well ... anyone... from everywhere ... you're welcome as long as you respect the wolves. Work hard and you might learn something and have a wolf encounter along the way.

This is one of the coolest experiences you will have. I led a school trip there, the kids were captivated and I was blown away by how hands on everything is. If you've ever wanted to kiss a wolf or butcher an animal to feed the pack, this is your chance. Plus, it is in an absolutely gorgeous part of the state. Make the trip. Howl with the pack. You won't regret it.

Visiting this place is an amazing experience, and something you should definitely do if you're ever in the area. I've been there twice so far and both times we've gotten the tour with some of the nicest people imaginable. You get to learn so much about wildlife and sustainability. If you're lucky you can even meet some of the ambassador wolves. Plus at some point during the tour, you can howl as a group and the wolves howl back. The sanctuary is located in the middle of nowhere and is nice and quiet. So when those wolves howl, it breaks the deafening silence with their beautiful song. Truly a spectacular place! We ended up sponsoring one of the wolves on the first visit to support them and I hope more people help them out as well.

Staff is very warm and informative. They spent lots of time teaching and answering questions. The mission to give each wolf quality care and to teach others about the importance of wolves is the most important thing to them. Their love and passion drives them to do everything possible to ensure the welfare of each wolf. This is an amazing place and it deserves donations and volunteers to carry on the mission they dedicate their lives to.

One of the best experiences we have ever had! This place is special and you can tell they truly care for the wolves. Our family learned so much! Please donate if you go visit since they do not charge a fee! The 13 mile dirt road to get there from the south was not to bad ( durning the summer and dry season ) if you go when the weather is other then you will need 4wd. We will definitely be returning!

Awesome place, volunteered six month there in the fall 2010. Would have liked to stay longer, but when the US embassy tells you that you are a possible immigrant and rejects your first demand it is hard to ask for more lol.Anyways, if you are from Europe and wish to get in close contact with wolves and wolf-dogs and contribute to their welfare, it is the place to be. The founders. Kent and Tracy are very nice people. The surrounding nature is heavenly.

If I could give it half a star review I would. Please don't waste your money. I'm all for helping the wolves, I love wolves! But this company is very fishy...Horrendous customer service. The product took so long to arrive ( I bought them on the 16th Dec for a Christmas present I paid extra for 2 day delivery service, which never arrived and I recieved mid January), they sent the wrong size, the material was very very thin and flimsy. They did not respond back to me after 8+ emails asking what's going on and where was my product and I was ignored, plus the shipping number they gave me did not work at all. In the end I got my money back through my bank as it was such a palarva and I thought it was fraudulent activity after not getting a response for 3 weeks and they took my money.
