I came to Gail on the verge of tears with our puppy who had just had surgery, was a full ball of energy, and had a temper that he liked to take out on me. Within our first consultation, our dog laid down calmly on my feet. A small moment, but it made all the difference to me. We did multiple private lessons, moved into a group class, and even some drop in trainings. Our dog was no longer biting my feet and was now show dog prancing!Classes were a good size, and the number of instructors was useful in correcting minor things. Private lessons made all the difference as well! As a large puppy with energy, Gail was not afraid to handle him and help him learn how to act.We have such a better connection with him through this training! We are coming back for more advanced classes and excited to see where Gail can lead us. She trains the people just as much (if not more so) than the dogs, and it shows!

Gail is very knowledgeable. She makes lessons very interesting. Winnie (6 month old Cardigan Welsh Corgi/Papillon mix) enjoys going to her classes. We are taking private lessons. I would recommend Gail Clark for dog obedience classes.

We brought our Labrador puppy, Morgan, to Gail for training last spring. We were having some issues with manners and walking quietly on the leash. Gail has helped us tremendously and we are hoping to compete in rally obedience this summer. Her training methods work and I’m so glad we found her!

Although these classes are on the pricey side, the results are 100% worth it! Gail personalizes training techniques that work best for both me and my dog, and I see improvement during every single lesson. She notices little details that are often overlooked by many other trainers. Also, she makes sure to pay attention to, understand, and support both me and my dog (who absolutely loves her!), which ends up being crucial to our improvement. I definitely recommend K9 Shrink if you want to set your dog up for success!

Gail was very helpful in getting Macho (and me!) up to speed with training. Down to me to keep it up now. Good training systems covering a number of obedience areas that all dogs should have.A few phone interruptions during training sessions that seemed a little unnecessary but we got the job done which is the main thing.

I've trained two dogs with Gail at K9Shrink. My first dog Graco completed her Utility title, the highest class of the regular obedience classes. My current dog needs on more qualifying score for Utility title. Learned much about dog behavior and trying methods over the years with Gail. Would highly recommend!

Update: I've been training with Gail for about 4 years now and I'm training my 3rd dog with her. She has really helped me have well trained dogs that compete in many different sports. After almost 4 years of trying to control my crazy dog, I finally came to Gail and now we are competing in obedience and rally and often getting high scores and first places. He doesn't pull me around and ignore me anymore! Gail has great, humane methods that work!

My rescue dog was a mess when I brought him to Gail. He would attack any dog that approached him. He was growing to be such a big boy, I knew he needed the best for training. Gail came highly recommended and she's helped me train him to be a great dog. He won his Novice Obedience title and can be in a 10+ minutes sit or down stay with a group of 15 dogs or more. It was almost unthinkable when I first started. Gail has taught me so much about handling him and working with his traits. With her decades of experience, she literally saved his life.

I took a class from Dr Clark years ago, when I was a teenager, with my rescue puppy Sherman. Not only was he well behaved after going through class but he was well socialized, which was good cause he was built like a tank when he was full grown. Recently my mom got a rescue dog who is smart as a whip and likes to test boundaries. She tried to take the dog to a pet store class, but they just reinforced bad behaviors with treats. I told my mom to see if she could get in with Dr Clark who thankfully had an opening. It’s been great to hear how they’re on track now and the dogs behavior is improving and my mom is getting more confident with training. Dr Clark is the best!

I found Dr. Gail through a google search and am so happy with her attention to detail. Early, our 1 yrd old basset hound is a handful and she is making strides with him only after two lessons for our dog show in June.

After four private lesson my Whoodle would walk perfect inside for practice but was distracted outside to the point I could not walk her. My fifth lesson was what and how I was training her. We went to the park and Gail could see what I was doing and the correction helped me tremendously. I was more sure of my commands and Luna was a 100 % better. Gail is excellent in training both of us!

Taking lessons with Gail has been a life changer for us and our 2 year old rescue German Shepherd, Greta! She went from being aggresive towards all other animals on our farm to having manners and listening to commands. With good training at K9 Shrink, patience, and consistency we now have a wonderful and confident dog that we can enjoy instead of always being on edge. I would definitely recommend K9 Shrink!

My dog has improved so much since taking these lessons. And I also have become a better dog handler and owner. Highly recommended.

Gail is great with my two year old Bull dog! I rescued him a few months ago and he quickly became reactive when out in public. Now he is much better behaved and great to walk or go in public with!

We adopted a three year old very leash reactive dog and we found a trainer in the Fort Collins area but saw no progress. Until we went to private lessons with Gail. In just two classes our dog was behaving better than ever, because Gail took the time to teach US how to train properly. We’ve since signed up for her group classes and highly recommend anyone to take her group classes or her private lessons. They are worth so much more than she charges, you won’t regret it.

Dr. Gail Clark is a wonderful resource! Simply stated, Gail "gets" dogs and provides practical instructions and demonstrations. She's currently working with us to train our 3 year old rescue, who had been neglected and had no training or socialization. Gail is helping us understand the best way to support her. We now have tools to help our rescue develop appropriate responses and confidence. We are so glad that we found Gail!

Gail was able to get to the root of why my dog's behavior changed and taught me how to deescalate the situation. For the first 3 years of her life, she was the most dog-friendly dog one could hope for. Then, she started to randomly "go off" on other dogs until it was not so random.Today, she goes everywhere with us, has gained confidence and no longer has issues with other dogs.Thank you, Gail!

We got a great education with Gail and her team at K9 Shrink Dog Training. There were 8 dogs in our class which was a nice size because one of 3 ladies were available during the exercises to provide extra help when needed. We learned how to get our 9 month old pup to pay attention to us and perform a variety of commands that will make all of our lives more enjoyable when at home or in public. Some of our issues prior to class were jumping on people, nipping our guests to get attention and pulling on walks. I watched a lot of youtube videos and tried to correct these problems on my own but it wasn't until we went to Gail's class that we really felt we had the tools to be successful. We are very grateful!

Gail really knows dogs and how to train them... no matter the breed or their disposition. Training for obedience competition is one thing but helping to train to actually live with your dog or pack in my case, takes understanding the dog. Gail is great and helps me be a better owner.

Gail is a excellent trainer for both students that want to show all the way to pet dog owners that want a well mannered family member. She understands puppies to problem dogs with great success. Gail is one of our dogs favorite people in their lives.

Gail is terrific. I am currently training my 4th dog with her in 22 years. The dogs love her. She has helped me train dogs thru their breed championships, obedience and rally titles as well. She guided me thru training my rare breed dogs when the breed had just gotten FSS recognition in AKC when I got my first one. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful when there are problems to work out, like my 2 males having an altercation over a female. She is the best.

We came to k-9 Shrink a month ago with our 74lb large, rambunctious puppy who was out of control and only wanted to do what he wanted to do and not listen to any direction. Jumped all over everyone and our grandkids making visiting unpleasant. He also would bolt out of the door when trying to go on walks which we’re just him pulling us around. We feel blessed to have found k-9 shrink, Gail has helped us with our most urgent issues and we have seen such a difference in our pup and are so happy with the results! We can now easily walk through the doors with him, he listens to our commands of come, sit, heal and so much more. The biggest thing is that our family and friends can come over without having to fight him off and visits are so pleasant as he sits there when they walk in and waits patiently to be released and then join the family. We thank Gail from the bottom of our hearts and the training is worth every penny spent. Thank you for all your help in us having an enjoyable, obedient pup that can now be a fun part of family, this is exactly what we wanted out of our precious fury family member!

Gail is the best! With decades of experience as a behaviorist and a trainer, she has assisted me in correcting unwanted behaviors, avoiding potential problems and compete successfully in obedience. I travel 4 hours round trip for a lesson because she truly understands dogs; and very patient when it comes to training me – over and over.

We recently took our 5 month old Goldendoodle to training with Gail. What an amazing experience! in 4 weeks, there were several topics covered - beyond the basics. I appreciate Gail and her team training us pet parents as well as showing us how to train our pups. The team was attentive, making sure we are training correctly, and always there to help. Aside from the helpfulness, everyone was so kind, understanding and knowledgeable. The small class environment was great as well. We will be back for more training, and I suggest everyone with a dog (of any age) take them to Gail's class!

My husband, Dan, and I highly recommend Dr. Gail Clark. We have two Bouvier des Flandres who are very strong-willed and independent and she has trained us and our dogs to work together as a team. She's helped us with confirmation, obedience, and rally work. And, our dogs really love Gail and look forward to seeing her!

My boyfriend and I took our 1 year-old bulldog to Gail's classes for the first time ever this spring, and the immediate change in him was amazing. He had behavior problems and never listened, after the first class he became so much better. The classes were interesting and the atmosphere was friendly. It was worth every penny and the drive there and back every week. I definitely recommend Gail's classes to anyone who owns or plans on owning a dog.

Gail,I was nervous about coming to class for the first time. I had never been to a dog class and just worked with the 2 previous dogs on my own. It has been a HUGE learning experience for me. Coral has improved tremendously, but I think the growth was even more for me as the owner. We felt comfortable immediately in the class and with all the instructors. It was a true commitment to participate each week and well worth the effort. I just wish I could express how much we enjoyed the whole thing! Thank you so much and see you this summer!!Jessica

I came to Dr Clark with an adorable but self serving, undisciplined, full of energy puppy. I took her one on one consultation class and then the puppy obedience class. I learned initially to instill to the puppy through positive, reward based training how to harness all that energy into a want and love to learn puppy. I can now take this positive experience and use it every day in my journey to have a wonderful companion!

We had our first class with Gail and her K9 Shrink staff last night. Our puppy is a fairly rare breed in this area so we were concerned about finding a trainer that could really help us. Luckily our vet recommended Gail to us and we were thrilled to find that she had experience with this breed. Even though our puppy is young and bouncy, we were able to gain knowledge and skills that will help him become a great member of the family. We saw real progress in just one session. She keeps the class size small enough so you can get the help you need. We can hardly wait for the next class!
