Very conveniently located. Right off the interstate, and next door to the apartment the company rented for our crew. Love how they have labels above the refrigerated goods. The store and bathrooms are well kept and very clean. You can always tell when management knows what they are doing by how the store is kept and the attitude of the employees. Kudos to the manager and crew!

Typical safeway. Medium sized parking lotWith many shady spots to park. Clean store. Clean bathrooms. Very expensive which is typical for towns like this. You will have to pay for your bags.

UPDATE: Went back today for a 2and chance and it was definitely a 5-star experience!Disappointed in DriveUp & Go. After checking in on the app, I was waiting for an extended period of time while my family was waiting on me for dinner. I called the store and the associate who said they would be right out and I sat there and waited another 20 minutes.

Verily, a visit to Safeway grocery store was a most pleasant experience. With shelves stocked full of every necessity, one could easily sustain oneself while residing at an Airbnb. The store was impeccably organized, making it a joy to peruse and gather what was needed. The staff was helpful and friendly, offering assistance whenever it was required. It is not often that one finds a grocery store that exceeds expectations in every way, but Safeway is such a place. A true gem among grocery stores. Five stars, indeed!

Bought hamburger patties. Turned out to be expired and the package was leaking. I don’t live near by and my local Safeway wasn’t interested in giving me a refund for another store’s product.

Bought some seltzer water from this store… I didn’t realize it at first but one of the boxes had been taped together. When we opened it up not only were the cans damaged but they decided to make a mixed matched box of damaged cans and resell it. How cheap are you guys that you would burn a customer relationship over a 8 pack of water that probably cost you $.50? Poor management

I would like to give a zero star if I was able to do so.Actually, the quality of products at this Safeway is pretty good. Fruits, salads, milk, bakery, deli, sushi, ..., everything is fresh and well organized. The staffs are trained and required to use as less as possible paper bags, and I think the intension is for good will to protect the environment and reduce the operating costs, and I'm good with that.However, they don't handle the items with care. Instead, they just randomly stack everything by any means to fit in a paper bag. For example, they smashed sushi rolls I got. And they even put the cold sushi together with a baked chicken, and they told me it was their manager's command asking them to do so. I'm willing to pay the cost of paper bags, but my expectation is the items purchased should be handled carefully.I spoke to the manager, who is a super rude man with arrogance. He apparently doesn't care about customer experience. When I politely suggested the staffs need some training to properly organize items and handle them with care, he just abruptly interrupted me with words "I told them to do so, and I don't understand. What's your problem?". I tried to be patient and polite and asked him if it's proper to put cold and hot foods together and his reply was "Yes, and most customers are Okay with it".Well, I feel it's just useless to communicate with this kind of person, who is not willing to take any input. I think I tried my best to give constructive feedbacks, but this man just doesn't care at all. This experience was awful and made my Vail skiing vacation less enjoyable. And I suspect he knew me and my family were not local residents, and treat us in this rude way by purpose.

I shopped at many Safeway stores during my 19 years living on the West Coast and this, by far, was not up to their standards. I can understand the understocked shelves, lack of general store cleanliness, and no baggers due to COVID-related supply issues and staffing shortages, but our cashier was very rude and the store was in complete disarray. I feel sorry for the management, as I know many of the above mentioned problems are out of their hands. On a positive note, prices were decent for a tourist town. Tip: get a free club card membership for even more savings.

the store is well stocked, clean, has decent prices, and friendly service. they have reasonable parking unlike most venues in Vail. the location is nearby many places to stay for your visit.

Cool Safeway. They are not all created equally. Easy on and of the highway, and nestled in the most beautiful valley around. Produce is very nice. Great fruit the day I went in. Seems the population keeps the lines to a minimum. Easy parking clean store. Even the bathrooms were surprisingly clean...

Great in town golf course. Great mix of holes and various shots you'll need to hit. Great turf conditions. River and stream running through the course gives it a nice mountain feel. Greens rolling plus 10. I reccommend it for a great experience.

Where I get all my groceries in vail. The meat and fish selections were OK. The fruits and vegetables looked fresh and had great variety. Also there is a Starbucks in it

It is a nice store with food and non-food items. Me, a perfectly normal human, went with my human family to the shop using our America car. We bought human food that we plan to ingest with our mouths. I especially enjoyed counting the egg. Nutrition and nourishment is an important facet of human life and I am happy I can uphold it by visiting this store.

We tried two times to get groceries delivered. We are on vacation with no car. We finally had to get an Uber to buy groceries there cuz they were unable to deliver groceries. They are pretty much the only grocery store around.

The store was clean and well-stocked. The employees were very helpful and kind. It is annoying that most employees speak Spanish, though. It makes it difficult to communicate. Ugh! For this latter reason, I'm taking away a star.

Passing through and needed a break, this is one of the most presentable Safeways I have ever been to. Great selection especially for being a little smaller store than I am used to!
