I placed an order on Saturday 2/19/22 with the next delivery available Monday 2/21/22 between 8 - 10 am, the delivery time changed four more times with NO delivery....the time kept changing to a later time. I eventually cancelled it on the 22nd realizing the food was NEVER going to arrive. If you go to Vail for vacation, do not count on this place for delivery. It does not exist.

Today at the Vail City Market, at the self checkout register, I had the pleasure of meeting the attendant,Esteben. He was so helpful and nice! The employees at this store make it great!You will love this well stocked, clean, convenient Grocery Store in West Vail.

Busy store with good selection, fair prices, and friendly and quick service! I prefer this grocery store over the other national chain nearby. Ask for the City Market card for additional savings. You can get one instantly at checkout. Liquor store, Starbucks, and winter essentials are all located inside the store and are an added bonus.

The employees are typically very helpful and nice. The fresh produce has been on a steady decline, even in-season.Idk how the parking structure at this place is legal, it's dilapidated and unsanitary. Its also constantly under construction with no visible progress. If anything its crumbling more each day. The upper management of Kroger needs to take action on safe and effective solution asap.

Manager is so extremely rude, we travel to vail every year and we will NEVER go back here. Manager was disrespectful and had a terrible attitude, when all we did was ask a question. They don’t allow returns even when THEY mess up. Low quality food, high prices. Literally shop anywhere else, don’t give them any more business.

Wonderful selection in store, poor customer service from the Asian lady the night before Easter, April 17th at the self-serve check out. Asked her for help and she just stared and stood there. Had to ask three times and this is bad. Put her in area for no public contact with shoppers. General manager seemed to not be alarmed when I called him.

What an obnoxious place. They don't allow you with backpacks. Tried to explain I have $12K worth of electronics, that I can't leave in a car, he tells me to leave it on the counter. So I drove just down the road to Safeway, where the manager wondered, why I'm even asking, just come on in fine.

The app is terrible, doesn't always show digital coupons until hours later and then not recognized at checkout.They always cover the original price with the markdown sticker. Who knows if you're getting a deal?Except for chicken the meat department doesn't offer much choice.Past purchase history is spotty, almost negligible.

The delivery service is terrible. I ordered groceries through the City Market app, only to have the delivery window slip every 2 hours for a total of 24 hours. I called the store and and was told to call Instacart as City Market has nothing to do with this. I gave up trying to talk with a human at Instacart after waiting on hold forever. After finally reaching Kroger (parent company of City Market) Customer Service I was told to cancel my order and place it again.I'm amazed that the best customer service can do is to tell me to go away.I'm still waiting for my refund.

I generally prefer City Market over Safeway, but recently my opinion is changing. I'm not a huge fan of the putting similar types of products in various places, it's confusing and staff are unaware of their products. I had a particular frustrating day when I went here trying to find 4 things, 3 of which I couldn't find and had to ask for assistance. 3 of your staff in produce, deli and meat department had no idea of what I was talking about. When I worked grocery I had to know my department. I was told to ask the front desk because they didn't know. Usually when I can't find something and ask, I'm met with a confident we don't carry that instead of a confused stare. I was annoyed, bought my 1 of 4 items on my list and left. Went to Safeway for the first time ever and they had all 3 of those items and I was out in 5 minutes. I'm very disappointed in the staff I encountered that day and their lack of knowledge on product especially in a smaller store. They showed me they really didn't care and I'm sorry that's who upholds your stores reputation. I think I might switch to Safeway

I have shopped at this city market in Vail for over 20 years and the service is slowly but surely going down hill. The problems at check out are unacceptable and the clerk, Robin, is condencending and rude. I will definitely shop at Safeway from now on.

Been coming here since 1997. So disappointed that they removed the bulk bin isles and they no longer have bulk mushrooms. This was my “go to place” for living plastic free and zero waste. Now will have to go down valley or to Dillon for several things…

What the city market of vail does is incredible, the Kroger label on their Beef Round eye of round steak covered the price of $6.79 to put another label that said reduced price to 7.01, but since they stuck it badly, if we realized what it meant does this establishment, I hope it's not the whole company

THE WORST costumer service. I ordered my groceries online, they where supposed to arrive yesterday morning, they compromised on delivering by night and nothing arrived. They told me the next day that they would arrive at 9am then at 12 and now at 10pm. I called costumer service and the lady on the phone not only told me she could not do anything about it she was VERY RUDE! A very unfortunate experience and will not buy ANYTHING from this market again!!!

I had a bad experience here. I was here late and bought a lot of groceries. There was no one at the checkout, and everyone was forced to use the self-checkout. The self-checkout system is just not designed to handle 100+ items. It was very buggy, and took a very long time (30+ minutes). After many items were piled up, it started crapping out and calling the "help" person every 2-3 items, claiming that I removed an item from the bagging area. Also, the person who was supposed to help me, was not really helping. I was tired and late to my next destination.Also, they only had paper bags with no handles, which made carrying groceries home a disaster. Nobody offered me a reusable bag or any other option.On the good side, the quality of stuff here is nice.

My wife and I just wanted a casual dinner. I was able to get 2 pieces of dark meat fried chicken and 2 sides for 3.50. The price was amazing but I was really surprised by how good it was. The meal was straight fire. Seasoned well and tasty

City Market is one of two major grocery stores in the Vail area. This is a full size store with everything you need (grocery wise). The prices are about the same as what you would expect to pay anywhere else. The service at the meat, bakery, deli and customer service counters are fast and friendly. Since Vail is considered a "rich" area the clearance section of this store was overflowing with unbelievable deals that just couldn't be passed up. Good place to get grocery items while staying in Vail and or surrounding areas.

This is a great city market. Was very happy to walk in and see a well taken care of mountain store. Produce looked really good,wet rack was full with fresh product. As a employee for kings down in the suburbs of colorado denver area, i'm happy to see a city market like this one. They also asked if i was finding everything okay.

I am a homeowner in EagleVail. I shop at this store because of the excellent customer service at all times, cleanliness and fresh foods. The outdoor plants for summer are also very nice and well cared for. The clerks at check out are over the top with kindess and any concerns you may have...which are none. Management is clearly out to be seen and pitch in. I just love the professionalism and care by the staff. Thank you so much.Patty Hackman

DONT COME HERE It seemed like so much of produce was rotten bad staff and manager Raul horrible service. I bought a sealed snack product went to the front not even 60 seconds later where multiple employees saw to return what my girl said she didnt actually want. Manager would not allow return even though it was same time as if i went up and down a single aisle.

City Market customer service does not exist thanks to RAUL. Raul has no interest in servicing customers but has a nasty attitude. He needed to scan a 5 gallon water, insisting that I, a very small person, get it up onto the very hight counter which I did, but it accidentally touched his keys and so he starts to yell at me.. continuously.. even after I apologized saying the water is very heavy to swing it way up and around on to an abnormally high counter top! But it mattered not, so I asked for the manager whom ignores all the calls over the PA system. Raul does not belong at any 'customer service' counter any where. Most important of all go to Safeway... it's right next door!

My personal favorite grocery in Vail. The store is huge with a separate liquor store in the store itself. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly although they usually don't have enough check out lanes open.

The layout of this 2 floor City Market is questionable at best, bad architecture at worst. You walk into a wedge snapped wall upon entering and the cash registers lead back into the store, not towards the exit doors.Plus, the cavernous 2nd floor bathrooms are accessible by these sketchy metal stairs. It honestly seems like you might slip and die walking up them (esp. in Winter). There's also an elevator but I ain't lazy bro.As for the food selection, it's great, but I'd recommend potential shoppers just head on over to the Avon location off of exit 167 instead. I could be totally off base, but I'd assume the grocery prices are higher in Vail.

Part of the Kroger grocery chain. They offer a wide selection of fresh fruits vegetables. There is a large variety of grocery products. We found the prices to be higher than our Kroger chains in Arizona. 👍👍👍👍
