This place is extremely unorganized & can't give a single straight answer when you call. Everything you ask, the answer is vague. I called about probably one of the cutest dogs I'd ever seen online & asked if she was available. Katelyn answered & said "who". I said Piccolo, the dog you have listed online. "Oh yah Piccolo! Um yes she's here." Is she available? "Um no I don't believe so." What do you mean? "Well you could come see her but you couldn't take her home because she hasn't had her rabies shot." Is she scheduled for her rabies? "Um no". She then hung up on me.I called back. Hi I just called & don't know if I got hung up on or what. "Um no, the line must have disconnected, I don't know what happened." Ok. Well when will I know when Piccolo is available & has her rabies shot? "We don't have a director right now so I can't tell you, but I can call you" And what is the fee for her? "Ummmmmm I believe $300." What do you mean, you believe.. is it income based or something? "No it's not income based. It's a set fee. All our small dogs are $300." Ok well just call me when she's ready please. "Ok" What's your name btw? "Katelyn".4 days later I get a call. I call back 3 minutes later. Hi I was calling about Piccolo. I just missed a call from this number. "Oh I must have called by mistake." Well is Piccolo available? "I don't believe so". She hung up on me again. I called back, asked if she hung up on me. "No, the line disconnected." Is Piccolo available? "I'm not sure." Well how do you find out? "We have multiple secretaries & I'm not sure if a deposit was already put down on her or not." Ok well can you call me & let me know? "Sure"I'm convinced this place either has no idea what they're doing or no Piccolo ever existed. Thouroughly confused & also dissappointed & heart broken. She's been listed online for 3 weeks, abandoned, with no way to adopt her.

Thank you so so much for my forever best friend! Lil Bit (now called Carson!!) is my whole world and is loving his big brother Duke! We're running around the yard and cuddling on the couch, constantly glued at the hip. Thank you to the staff here for all that they do, and to any visitors who come to adopt: please be patient! The staff are doing their absolute best despite having so many animals.

Worst animal shelter I’ve ever seen. Completely horrible and the manager, an older woman named Sue, who seems to have some kind of mental disorder, is one of the rudest and most incompetent people I’ve probably ever met. Not to mention the ridiculous fees they charge, the place is run like a business not a shelter and someone seriously need to remove and replace that manager her demeaning and rude attitude is completely uncalled for.

I have been adopting several cats from here and been delighted, however I went in today to perhaps adopt once more and was shocked to hear they now charge $200! Yes that includes services done etc. but that’s just too much for most folks including me. The same cats were still there that we saw a month ago and am sure the cost is the reason. This is not good for our dear animals that desperately need homes. I left so discouraged.😥

It's been a little over 4 months since I adopted my first puppy from Noah's Ark. I was so happy with how wonderful and helpful the shelter staff were for the whole process! They make sure their animals are well cared for and do a great job to help them find loving homes. I would highly recommend NAAWA!- Bri and Mozzie 🐾

Adopted a sweet adult cat named Alice. The people were very kind and they were very helpful with answering questions. The animals that I saw all looked well taken care of, and the staff was very caring and gentle when dealing with Alice. I would recommend them to a friend looking for a new furry friend.

The new management and board have really let us down. They let four good workers go instead of changing anything to make the work place better. I used to see their faces every time I went to the shelter or thrift store. Now the place is focused on ego instead of experience. Used to be about the animals. So sad to see, as I got my baby from there and he's three now.

Some rude lady at the counter says I need some class to walk the dogs. Nobody else knows what she's talking about.

I know you guys believe in mutilation of innocent animals not everyone has too believe and spay and neuter and I think it's wrong for you to try and push on people with pets

Do you have any dogs that have been there more than a year or two? Possibly a black pit/lab mix named Bella who was dropped off a few years ago? She was already about 11yrs old at the time...

Stole a cat from my sister, he got out. She repeatedly tried to get him back. Each time they changed the amount they wanted to to give him back. Then adopted him out after my sister paid a $40 fee. Worst place ever. My advice make sure your cat never gets out of you live in the area. Or your fur baby will be given away to someone else to.

I have a pup and kitty from here. Love the director, her staff and volunteers...and for a shelter environment, I normally hate to go into, I love visiting here and helping with the large Ferral and stray animals in our town. They work long and hard to save unwanted animals!!!

Very nice staff and a great selection of dogs. They were extremely patient with me during the decision process. The location is rather obscured, and there aren’t obvious signs to direct you when you’re nearby, but Google Maps directed me right to it.

I got my fist dog Lola from hear, and she passed this last month, so ineed another best friend to mend my heart, but the story that I read about the one I got was not right, it said happy shore to brighten your day, but the dog was the opposite and when I brought her back the nice person at desk understood but the director was rude and made me feel bad, I feel like I should be upset cause we didn't want to have to bring her back but she was not happy as the add send, I can't have a dog making me sad right now, we took her an hour an half to take her back where we got her, I just should not have got looked down on, and the dog is back up with the same profile not true Millie hun I hope you find someone to lay with you and rub your belly and watch tv...

The animals here seem very well cared for and, what's more, actually cared about. My only complaints are about the way kittens are taken from their mothers at far too young an age, and, that the kittens are neutered and spayed at too young an age, e.g., 4-6 weeks old (I was told). I don't know if such policies are set by the larger "Humane Society" of the USA or by Noah's Ark.It seems to me it would be healthier for the kittens to stay with their moms longer to benefit from her milk, and, better to wait + allow the kittens' hormonal systems to develop a little longer before sterilization. In any case, I am thankful Noah's and all the other such places + persons exist to help ease the growing problem of homeless hungry animals.

The staff is very wonderful and the pets look so happy, clean, and well cared for. The front shows cats or kittens, and the commitment to them is easy to see. We will def recommend here to others.

Get yourself a soul mate here! I can't say enough about a staff who rescues 2000+ souls every year in the biggest, wildest county in Colorado. My last shelter dog was the most enduring relationship in my life. Meet Sophie, new best friend for life, who adopted me at Noah's Ark.

It's terrible. A doggy jail for real.....my mother and I walk this trail on a daily and never once have we seen a dog outside getting exercise or fresh air... You walk by and all you hear is them poir puppy's crying and howling. I just wanna bust them all out so they can escape that terrible place.I mean don't YOU like to be out in the fresh air, moving around and feeling free??????So do they!!

I got a kitten from Petco. Went back the next day to get the brother of kitten. They said they were sick and had been returned to Trinidad. My kitten died.😭 Tracked down the brother in Trinidad at Noahs Ark. They treated kitten for 3 months. Saved it and gave it me for free since I had gone to the trouble to track it down. Oscar is the best cat ever!! Great people at Noahs Ark!!

OMG! I can't say enough good things about the people that work here who help the animals and the community! Right now they are raising funds for a new shelter with more modern accessible facilities that are greatly needed. They hold low cost vaccination clinics at the farmers market, they have helped many in the city of Trinidad and the county of Las Animas with low cost spade and neuter coupons. They are a great resource if you've lost your dog or cat. If you have questions about your pet they are so wonderful to help with good information or directing you to another resource. Definitely two thumbs up. I love this organization!
