I went in knowing nothing about archery at all. Associate Luis L. spent hours teaching me and one other proper compound bow technique, etiquette, and good rules of thumb. As someone coming in knowing nothing, I left feeling confident and well informed. Luis L. was very patient, kind, reassuring, and an amazing teacher. Anyone with no knowledge of a sport is lucky to find someone like that to guide them. Very happy with the overall experience and feel confident shopping there again. Again, thank you Luis.

Ordered a firearm online 04/23/2024 and was notified it arrived at the Thornton Cabela’s on 04/26/2024 went in to complete the background check and finalize payment. Had to wait for 1 hour and 35 minutes before a sales associate was available which although frustrating was not a problem. Sales Associate Junior made the process fast, professional and prompt and I left satisfied with my purchase and the service.

There’s a reason online shopping has become more popular and this store is a primeExample of that. Little to no inventory besides one size fits all items. Little to no staff. Don’t walk too far in the back or you’ll get verbally assaulted by random people selling vacations. Doesn’t seem like the business is doing all that great if you have to have another business inside selling what is basically the in person spam version of high pressured vacation sales. You should not let people harass your customers. They also pretended to be staff so when we were looking for something they said “yeah we work here” then proceeded to give the sales pitch. Very annoying when you’re trying to find someone who actually works there. If you need help on the floor maybe the 5 to 6 people working in the gun library could be dispersed into the actual store. Just an idea…I’d would take an insane blow out sale for me to ever want to come back to this store as there is no one to really help and no items in stock to buy.Definitely recommend going online verse in store because even if you wanted to try on items you’re interested in. Chances are it’s not an option. If you need guns or fishing poles, plenty of those in stock. Most other items, good luck.

They do actually have every thing you can imagine here for outdoors stuff. Very knowledgeable firearms staff as well! In fact, I was pretty blown away by this place! I have never seen so many fishing poles, accessories, clothes, hunting, camping, gear of every type and variety in my life, and I'm 53. No where I have ever witnessed has such an overwhelming volume of outdoors stuff! They have little wood stoves to warm your tent! They have everything you might even think of needing to tie flies. I can't even list everything! Surprisingly reasonable prices too.

My wife and I went to the Thornton location to ask a couple questions at the gun department and waited for 45 minutes and were never helped. We even scanned the code at the counter to reserve a spot to be helped and it told us we were almost ready and to wait at the counter. We sat there and watched the employees check thier cell phones and chat about unrelated topics . I've never had this kind of experience. Horrible customer service experience in this section of the store.

Last week went to Cabela’s in Thornton to purchase a browning x bolt rifle. The gun counter employee Chris told me that I should wait until this Thursday (today) as there was a promotional special and I would “save 10%.” This was if I signed up as a club member. Signed up which naturally affected my credit rating. Arrived at the store today, looked at the gun, prepared the background information at which point I was told that the 10% is a credit for “points” not a cash credit. Obviously this was a plan to get me to sign up for their credit card and the way it was pushed obviously gives something to the assistant who promoted it. I immediately cancelled the gun purchase, will shred the credit card and not shop there again. I’m buying from Scheels in Loveland. I totally feel I was conned. The gun counter employees must have missed the “treat customer with courtesy” training. Jose win particular was cold and had no interest in talking about my issue.

While I wasn't greeted (not that it matters to me, it does some people though) staff did answer questions. This Cabela's is wonderful for the 2nd amendment lovers. Although. The Kalashnikov list is lacking HUGE. Overall, it's a wonderful store.

This was my first time there and if you love the outdoors, time to spare and you got lots of money then this is your one stop shop! There's so much neat stuff such as camping, off road quads, UTV, fishing, clothing and boots. You need to come back a few days to absorb all the things they have. The one thing they usually don't have is ammo. Go figure 🤔. I will definitely come back and I encourage you to stop by and check it out!

If you need to buy a gift for someone that loves the outdoors, this is the perfect store. It's a fun place to bring kids also since they can learn about animals. They have a mountain full of real, stuffed animals that you may never get a chance to see in the wild. I bought a beautiful plaid shirt for Fall that I could not resist.

I really like this place, as far as outdoor places, this place takes the cake, especially for hunting fishing and other such hobbies. They have a very nice selection of guns as well as knives, and as always at Cabela’s they are very knowledgeable, and everything that they do! A very well ran store by great employees! If you’ve never been in a Cabela’s, which is hopefully doubtful, then you should visit this one!

What more can I say other then we love you Cabela's they always have what I need when I need it. Lucky they just lifted the limits on 5.56 and 223. So I got as many as I could carry. Picked up a solid range bag can't wait for my first load out to give it a shot.

The store itself is awesome. I went in today for the first time and they have a good selection of pretty much everything. There was a bunch of staff floating around except where we needed them which is my biggest concern and issue with our visit today. We went in to look at some guns and ammo. We walked around the counters and the gun library for about 20 minutes and none of the several employees greeted or offered any assistance. We kept browsing and noticed a QR code to scan in order to join a queue to be assisted. We added ourselves to that and proceeded to wait another 30 minutes without anyone calling our name or asking if we needed help despite the online queue saying we were coming up and to stick around the gun counter. We ended up leaving after waiting for about an hour all together which was a huge bummer because there were several handguns we were interested in.

Go to Jax or scheels if you’re looking for good customer service. Mike at Thornton Cabela's gun department ignored everybody in line. He was talking to somebody that seemed like a buddy for at least 20 minutes. That’s how long we stood there being ignored. Not even a hello I’ll be right with you. When he finally got done, he says, “did anybody sign up on the ipad? Nope. I guess not” as he checked the que for who was next. It would have been nice to know you needed to do that in order to be recognized in this store. As we asked about the iPad and said well we’ve been clearly standing here you could have mentioned that. He didn’t care. I guess you might as well buy online if that’s the kind of service you want. At least you know when you hit add to cart that your time was well spent. I’ll never shop here again.

They have everything for hunting, fishing, camping and outdoors. Not to mention lots of really cool stuffed animals all over the place.Lots of staff, Sean in guns was incredibly knowledge and took his time to explain everything thoroughly.

I went here with my sons for the Santa experience, which is entirely free and as of 2023 they give you a free 4x6 image. The elves and Santa were both very patient and kid friendly. The experience only give you one picture however, I was hoping for a picture of my sons together and then individually but it seems you might need separate reservations for that. I went on a weekday after 5 and there really wasnt any sort of wait but weekends might be a different story.The store itself is quite big and has a variety of outdoor clothing and equipment. Everything looked tidy and clean. The staff who were at registers were quick and prompts as well. Great experience overall and I would recommend it over Flatirons Mall anyday.

I have been to the Cabela’s twice now to purchase a firearm. Neither time would anyone at the counter even look at me with the courtesy to say I’ll be with you in a minute, or how may I help you.. I went to Jax to purchase two of the firearms. 2 months later I went to Sheels to purchase the another one.Looking at all the negative reviews, seems like they are mostly from the hunting department… Looks like they need better management!

Phil with a ponytail hair style is the worse individual to ask for help in the fishing department.He ignored me after I waiting for him helping another customer. After he was done with the customer....he looked right at me and walked away. I waited patiently and he ignores customers.He must be a racist individual for not wanting to help Hispanic customer.I was ready to spend about $300 in the store and I left all the items because this Phil guy seems to be racist against Hispanic customers.I was a returning customer and now I will never step foot into the store again. My money can go somewhere else who respects customers of all race.
