*** please note the update***For the second time I have gone into Big R to purchase a sale item only to be turned away because they did not have the sale item in stock. The latest was a black Friday item that was not shipped to the store. They issued rain checks. I was called and told mine was in and I could come pick it up, only to get another call a few hours later, telling me they had sold it to another customer. Good job Big R! The last time I called I was basically told "too bad, so sad" by the store manager.Thanks for your stellar customer service and experience Big R.****** Update**** thanks to the floor lead and managers at this location I got my item. A week and a half past Christmas but I got it. There appears to be a problem with their inventory system when it comes to this item but I appreciate the effort they put in to make sure I got one.

Great store! they always say hi to me when I come in the store. I come here to get chicken feed and hay bales and they always have them in stock. I also get some dog supplies from time to time here. I really enjoy this store reminds me of country supply stores from back home.

Absolute break down of management intelligence when I tried to buy a pallet of wood. Wasted an hour of my life and left empty handed. The fact that they have no idea how to manage their inventory and ended up falling short for their consumer shows the lack of effort the establishment is willing to put forward. Welcome to new age America where the consumer gets the shaft.

While enterimg the store carrying my purse I was told I would have to leave it in the front of the store. I guess they dont trust so well not be shopping at Big R again. I dont trust them either I will be shopping where I can carry my wallet and phone in my bag.

I usually stop here after grabbing breakfast next door for bird seed. They have good prices. Staff is a little on the thin side (aka understaffed store) so if you need a lot of help, drive across the street to Ace. Big R is the only place I’ve found that sells ranch supplies in the suburbs like chicken coops and gates. And chics. They have very good pricing on gates and posts. They carry tack and feed and generally have different clientele than the regular hardware store.

Good selection, bad customer service.They have a good selection of items but I purchased a hat that was labeled at $19.99 and came up at $24.99 on the register.I asked the cashier to double check because the hat says it should be $19.99 and the manager went back found another hat labeled $54.99 that matched and told me she couldn’t bring the hat down another $5 so I can take the $54.99 or $24.99. The website does say $24.99 for the hat but if they labeled the hat $19.99 in my opinion they should honor the price. They obviously don’t have their stuff labeled correctly if the same hat is labeled incorrectly two times.I can say I won’t be coming back.

Albert the assistant manager is one of the most incompetent managers I have ever encountered. He doesn’t know how to operate a computer, he’s easily distracted and the other associates help 6 times the customers he does.

First, I tried calling the store to see if I could return an item that was a few weeks beyond the 30 day return window, but no one ever answered the phone. So then, after driving to the store they refused to take the return that was brand new in box with receipt (or even provide in-store credit). I understand policy is policy but after checking with manager, cashier was unwilling to listen to why I was unable return the item within 30 days (travelling outside of U.S.). Customer service at this store needs some work.

This is by far the best ranch supply store I have ever been to! Not only do they have pretty much everything I've ever needed for my ranch but also the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I'd like to point out that they know that happy medium between helpful and pestering that a lot of other stores have a hard time understanding. I'd definitely like to point out their store is always well organized and clean, especially the pets and feed section. Overall I'd highly recommend this store over all the other ranch supply stores in the area and would like the staff to all know that they are greatly appreciated.

I bought a Wrangler work jacket for my husband at Cabelas and we went back to exchange it for a different size. Unfortunately they couldn't fund the size anywhere in any other Cabela's stores so Bryce from Customer service went above and beyond and found it at Big R nearby to this store that had the right Size. He called them personally and asked them to put it aside for us to buy from Big R. He gave up a sale to the competitor. When we showed up they had pulled it aside for us however it was $10.00 more so we asked them if they would honor Cabelas price especially since they called them directly because of the availability of the jacket. Unfortunately the manager that was called to the registered looked at it and flat out REFUSED to honor the difference!! No explanation and said no and turned and walked away!! I will NEVER EVER shop at any Big R store!!

This place has a lot of miscellaneous affordable goods. I get wood pellets here for a good price. I get to take my pup into the store and they give her a treat at the register. They have great dog food and toys. Plus tools. Love exploring this place! 😅

My husband and I have been shopping here for all of our feed for our chicken and ducks feed and bedding...but their loyalty program they unroll you in makes no sense, it’s only for dog and cat food (I even bought my firearm here!) and earned no points. Besides the loyalty program most of the employees are usually wonderful except for the female manager, she is rude, has a rude demeanor, and is not friendly at all. Great prices, rude manager and loyalty program sucks.

Wow wow WOW!I walked in and I had 4 employees great me!I walked thru the store and every employee made sure I found what I was looking for or rather asked! Every employee!I am so impressed with the cleanliness and polite employees and I found what I needed and more! Strolled by the cat food and they carry the brand we use for our cats and at a cheaper price than the other big name pet stores!I will return and also recommend this store to everyone I meet!Thank you for a very pleasant experience and thank you to all the employees that greeted me at the door and throughout the store!

Came in today and as the doors opened all I could hear was a manager rudely telling off his employees in front of a customer at the register. Instantly recognized the manager because bascially everytime I've been in there I have overhead him loudly telling off employees. The store is normally quiet, unless you hear him yelling from somewhere in the store.

This store is great, very nice store. We had just spent the day looking at every Home Depot and Lowe's to try and find pipe for our sprinkling system. The people here were a very nice and knowledgeable, they knew exactly what we needed and helped us get it all. Prices were great, we will go back again. It was so nice to have service like that, they came and asked us "what can we help you with". At the other place you sometimes feel like they see you coming and they RUN AWAY. Thank you Big R

Ordered an item online that said it was in stock. Received email that my order was ready, and headed to the store. When I walked into the store we were greeted, and asked how they could help me. I told them I was there to pick up my order. The store manager instantly became argumentative and told us she has no idea why the website said my item was instock but that they have not had the item for months. I then inquired for a different item, and the store manager then refused to sell me anything. I have never been treated so poorly, and have been a retail manager before. I will never go to this store again, and will do 100% of my shopping at other local farm supply stores.

The customer service was above and beyond! I purchased my duty weapon here and I was treated with respect, not a lot of stores show women respect when they are purchasing a gun but I had a great time and I recommend if you want true customer service then this store delivers.

This place has great service. My dog didn't like a certain flavor of food, they let me exchange an open bag for a brand new bag! Also, they have great prices on spices (conveniently located next to a respectable selection of ammunition). And great clearance prices on fancy jeans. I simply can't say enough good things about this place.

I went in this location for my first time to checkout the Carhartt selection to kill some time, and didn’t end up finding what I wanted so I walked towards the door, all of the employees were following me for some reason. When I got to the door I was stopped and asked if the sweater I was wearing was mine. The cashier that seen me walk in told them I was already wearing it. I don’t play the race card, but i was the only Hispanic even in the store. Why me? I felt like I was being watched as soon as I walked in which made it very uncomfortable. I felt very profiled and in welcome. I’m never going back to shop at any location now and I’m so offended.

(First visit) I was in the market for a nice chainsaw and Big R was one of a few dealers who sell Stihl products. I looked on Big R's website and observed they had 3 Stihl MS 391 25" Chainsaws which were store pickup only. I headed to the store and went back to their Stihl chainsaw area, but did not find the model I wanted displayed. We saw a woman and asked for help. She went in the back to find out where they were as she confirmed the store should have 3 in stock. She came back out to say they didn't have the 3 in stock. I asked why they showed three in inventory if they didn't have them. The woman then explained she had them but no way to sell them as there was an issue with Stihl and the skews with the 25" blades. I stated that the body and the blade are two separate items and asked if she could sell me the unit with a 20" blade. She became very irritated and started treating me unprofessionally. She reluctantly went in the back again, came back and forcefully dropped the blade and chain on the desk and left again to the back. She then returned again stating that she was wrong and could sell me the 25" unit. She passed me on to another Associate to complete the purchase. This woman I later found was the manager of the store.(Second visit) A few days later I took the chainsaw to our property to cut down tree limbs and bushes but was unable to get the chainsaw started. I read the manual thoroughly and did the startup process step by step and still couldn't get the chainsaw started. I took the chainsaw back to Big R today to see if they could get the unit to start and they also could not get the unit to start. I asked if they could exchange the unit for one that was not defective and was told I would have to go through Stihl to have warranty repair the issue. I explained that I haven't even been able to use the chainsaw once and asked why I would have to go through warranty if I was sold a defective unit. I was told it was Big R's policy. I requested to talk to the manager. I was told that he manager wasn't in until 10am so I would have to come back at that time. I came back to the store at 10am and yes I had to speak to the same lady/manager who treated me poorly last time. She tried to explain again that I would have to go through warranty. I explained my position of being sold a defective unit and once again she started treating me unprofessionally making me feel like I was the problem. She called her manager who approved a refund. I asked if I could just get a new unit that worked and she immediately stated no. As she was processing the refund I quickly looked on their website which stated they had more in stock. So the manager was lying to me. I asked why she was treating me poorly and she stated that she's just trying to get me a refund. That was not a good answer so I asked for her manager's number which she willingly gave me Caleb's phone number. I called Caleb upon leaving the store so I could give my experience of both trips, but got his voicemail. I have yet to hear back from him.Bir R has poor customer service and policies that product them and not the customers. I will not shop with Big R.

Very disappointed! We had thrown away our ad and could not remember if the Real Tree dog beds were still on sale. I called the store the gal confirmed they were on sale for $22.49 until November 30th. When we arrived at the store the beds were STILL marked as on sale but they would not honor the price. The response we received from management and girl at register was pretty much “oops🤷♀️Sorry it happens.” It’s very unfortunate because we do a ton of shopping at Big R but will not be returning. Stores need to honor prices as marked. It is not the customers issue that the sign was not taken down.

Went in with my brother to exchange something. While he was doing the exchange I decided to walk around and check out the rest of the store while waiting. The “security guard” began following me throughout the entire store till I finally met back up with my brother. Don’t shop here alone.

Horrible experience. Called in advance to check if the item is available for purchase. Provided an SKU number and was told that they have two boxes in stock. Got there in 15 minutes to find out they haven't had any. The store assistant manager provided me some poor excuses and was blaming everything on coronavirus. I don't see how the pandemic is responsible for the employees and management incompetence, laziness, absence of accountability and responsibility. The way you do little things is the way you do big things. I would highly encourage people to avoid shopping at this place.

I have shopped at this store several times for a variety of products from clothing (they carry many Carhartt items including coats), to electrical supplies and welding accessories. The staff that I have interacted with have all been friendly and helpful. Prices can be a tad high, but they are conveniently located and carry some items that you can’t get at smaller hardware stores. They also allow dogs in the story, which my husky greatly appreciates.

Great ranch store with plenty to offer from animal feed, tools, appeal, footwear even guns and ammo.Opening day was very nice, staff was great and very friendly. Prices appear to be a little on the high side but if you are in a bind they're worth checking out.
