Stopped by for dinner and we were glad we did. Walk up service and ordering was quick and easy. The double bacon cheeseburger was great along with the pickle-o’s. They had ice cream for the kids. Plenty of places to park and sit and this right off the interstate next to a couple gas stations. Much better option than fast food and the prices weren’t much different!

5-17-24 Just had a delicious charbroiled bacon cheeseburger. French fries were lightly seasoned and the mad mixer ice cream treat had plenty of candy in it.Staff was efficient and friendly. Super busy and the cashier came running out after us because we had forgotten our ice cream.Definitely going back and highly recommend this hometown diner style restaurant!

What can I say? They make an above average burger. I'm not sure if the buns are made in house but they sure taste like it. They're fast, but this isn't no fast food burger. Lettuce is leafy, nice and green, tomatoes were freshhhh, pickles were pleasantly crunchy, onions like they were sliced on the spot, and of course I can't forget the perfectly charred and flavorful patty. To my fellow truck drivers, you can park at the Cenex next door and walk on over, or if you're in a rush, the gravel lot between the two facing either way is easy exit.

This exceeded all my expectations. After a long week on the road for work, my husband and I stumbled upon this sweet little spot. We debated on whether we should stop and boy am I glad we decided to. The burgers were moist and savory. The fries were crispy and piping hot. And our Jalapeño wheels were incredible. The staff was kind and warm. And we will definitely stop here whenever we travel down I70!

The best burger I’ve ever had. We always stop here when traveling to and from visiting family in Kansas. Haven’t done this yet but would say it’s absolutely worth a drive from Denver to Stratton. Amazing. And everyone is always so nice.

Impromptu lunch stop for my fiancé and I. We are truck drivers and we’re trying to find something good to eat besides fast food. Saw a sign for this little place and decided to stop. Best idea! Such a great place! Service is fantastic, the place is super clean and adorably decorated. Great menu selection and the food is all fresh made. Adding to our list of good eats! Thank you!

I used to love Handi's, stopped in numerous times over the past few years. Something has changed over the last year 6 months or so.Portions are smaller, prices seem to be higher, and generally the overall quality has degraded.For reference a Crispy chicken Sandwich and Onion Chips 2X is $29. That's more than 2 huge Meals at Canes or CFA, don't be fooled either, Small Businesses have lower overhead than Large Corporations or Franchises, no reason you should be paying more for your Food in Stratton, Co than in Denver.Not a terrible option on I-70 through CO and NWKS, but at this point I'd recommend just holding out until Denver or Hays depending on the direction you're headed. Bummer.

We're traveling and stopped for gas and then an early lunch at Hardi's. They were setting up the salad bar when we arrived. My husband had the chicken strips, and really liked them. I had a cheeseburger, which was also really good. The fries and tots were crispy, not soggy. They even offered sweet potato fries. Had to have the cherry limeade too. Very friendly staff, with clean bathroom and dining area. I'd stop by again for sure!Parking: There was space between the gas station and restaurant to park our truck w/trailer

Finding a good place to eat while on a road trip is always hit or miss. Handi’s was a home run. This little burger place right off I-70 is unassuming outside and in. Their burgers don’t need fancy toppings or a donut for the bun. Instead, it’s the type of burger you’d get when you go to hangout with that one friend who actually knows how to grill, you know the one. It’s the type of burger, that when you take a bite and get the crunch from fresh lettuce and those really good pickles that you find in the refrigerated section, not the limp ones in the condiment aisle, you can’t help but go, “Mmm, this is a good burger.” And all your other friends nod in agreement, because they’re busy enjoying their own burgers.Yeah, it’s that type of burger.

Wow! Friendly staff, great food, cozy little diner you can tell the locals frequent. I watched many interact as friends and loved the atmosphere. It was super busy and the wait wasn't even terrible for fantastic quality burger. Fries were superb! Even the soft serve was primo!

Great place and even better folks inside that own the place. Got caught in the March 21st storm that came from the south and luckily my hotel was just across the street. They were so nice and were helping stuck folks get unstuck. I just needed to get food and their burgers were delicious! You can dine in or get it to go. The picture doesn't do it justice but it was perfect 👌🏾
