I worked here for over a year and the favoritism and nepotism is out of control! I begged for 6 months to get a full time position only to be cut down to 12 hours a week. You'll only ever be promoted if you're involved in their little clique game. If you aren't in the manager, Lori's, pocket, you'll never get anywhere. It's all a big game to them and if you don't play their game they'll do their best to get rid of you. They claim that it's an open door policy and that you can say how you feel. That's the biggest load of nonsense I've ever heard. I lost my job specifically because of retaliation for what I said in the town hall meetings that they involve the associates in every month. I was promised a full-time position and told that I was getting the position and they only had to put up a sign in sheet in the office to make it look like other people have the opportunity to get the position. They know exactly who they're going to hire before they even put it up. There's a sign in sheet right now for an open merchandising execution team member and the supervisor of the merchandising execution team was laughing about who wasn't going to get the position before she had even interviewed anybody it's disgusting! It's all about who the manager wants it has nothing to do with your ability. It has nothing to do with how hard you work. It has nothing to do with the loyalty that you show to the company because this company shows absolutely no loyalty to their employees especially the managers at this Sterling Home Depot namely Lori, Ben and Michael! I pray that corporate sees some of this review because I'm going to track down the number and reach out to corporate HR about this particular home depot. I know I'm not the first person to experience this even though I'm new to Sterling. Absolutely horrendous morals and ethics, just shameful.

Always find what I need, prices tend to be alittle higher at times but it gets the job done. Most the staff is helpful with whatever you need, Jim in the lumber yard is the MVP always will help me with my large orders regardless of how busy he is

The DRIVE THRU Lumber yard is freaking awesome. I wish every home depot had this. It's very easy to just pull up to plywood (or whatever) and load it directly into your truck (or trailer) pull up to the register and pay. No more having to handle it multiple times. Most Excellent Idea 💡

bought 2 garage doors from them last spring for a customer one botton section got ran into in nov i wentd in an ordered a replacement panel in nov after getting the run around for 3 weeks was finally ordered on dec 15 and was told will be here dec 23 go in on the 26th to get it and they have no clue it is not here they cant tell me when it will be here crock of *^*^(^(^&^(

Home Depots are everywhere but the Design Center in Sterling CO is knowledgeable and creative and stands out. We worked the most with Christy. She is efficient and visionary. There are several faces we look to for advice and direction when needing assistance. Safe. Clean. And well staffed.

You go in with a mission. Get what you need, pay, and leave. Hopefully getting what you need with as little resistance as possible and then leave not so upset by the experience that you can still have a good rest of your day.EVERY SINGLE TIME I HAVE THE SHOPPPING EXPERIENCE THERE I AM WORSE AFTER THE VISIT.I never expect them to be friendly, but only hope that I can get in and get out with being upset. This is the rudest store on the planet.I asked for help. I got disclosures what things they couldn't help with. I asked to do it myself. I was granted permission by the apron- Ed GODS to be allowed to shop without assistance- since there are limitations on them to help they said- "legal" and "liability" reasons- I loaded the truck myself headed for the checkout but not before being reported to the "assistant store manager" who called himself "the store manager" the main boss, the head honcho- for having the audacity to help myself- you know lifting, moving heavy pieces I wanted to buy,They didn't ask me what I needed help with or what they could do to make the shopping experience easier... they came to report me for loading the truck without approval apparently as I was told to measure and calculate, and stack/organize the items I picked in the parking lot after checking out- not before!I could not get any one of those jerks to help me. The man that wouldn't wait on me was hateful and disrespectful and scoffed everytime I asked for help. I wish I knew his name I would post it. But the "manager" wouldn't tell me their names!

I arrived in the garage with the intention of buying four sheets of drywall. I found a man working and asked him for help. I said i wanted to score the 8X 4 sheets and break in half and then half again to stack in the truck. He said he couldnt cut them and i told him if he showed me where the utility kniives are i would buy one and cut them myself. He brought over a T square for me to use and i worked on scoring and breaking them for about 15-20 minutes.Another worker seemed annoyed that I was working without assistance. Honestly, no one was more annoyeed than me that an employee didnt offer to help me stack them in trruck. I ve done this many times in detroit home depots and always tip the workers well for helping me.The upset worker came over and asked me what i was doing. He wanted to know why i was scoring/ breaking the drywall into smaller pieces and if it was to fit in the truck or for some other reason.But he didnt really want an answer and i didnt see the point of why the reason i needed smaller pieces relevant anyway- but he said i needed to score them in the parking lot or somehwere else and not in the store.I was almost done and ready to pay.He went to get the assisant store manager (his buddy who would proceed to tell me he was the "store manager") and i waited to see what would be the result of his complaint. I turned my phone on tok tok live because ii wws sure it was hoing to be absurd.It was. They both kicked me out of the store and told not to come back again. No there was no argument. I did not go "karen" on anybody i just turned my live tik tok on and recorded them telling me to leave and not come back!I paid and left.Then i tried several times to call the "real" store manager, and she didnt call me back. i was hopeful that another woman would understand how it feels to be bullied by men workers.Im an artist and I paint on drywall. I always buy several sheets at a time and always have to score and break them to fit into my car or truck. Usually the workers help me. Infact, ive never been at a store where they didnt help me!

It a blessing to have a HD in Sterling, but they unfortunately have some goofy policies. I drove 40 miles to that store with a truck and trailer today and expected a product to be there because their website says they had 192 of them. I get there, and it's still on a truck. I enquire about how long until they can pull 27 of those planks for me, and they tell me to come back tomorrow.I asked why they list it as in stock on the web when it's technically not even in the store and they tell me it's counted as "in" once it's checked on the truck when it arrives. They admit this is a sucky way of doing things, but it's still too bad so sad.I'm leaving two stars because at least they were nice and one of them told me to try Mead Lumber, which actually had the product cheaper, and the ladies there were amazingly helpful! I didn't know it existed and won't bother with HD anymore unless they have something exclusive that I need.

They have what I need, but it feels like walking into a trap. I needed a key cut, they sent a man that wouldn't stop talking about his body. I needed some mulch, they sent a lady who kept trying to to sell me dirt and other stuff I said I didn't need. At customer service, the main person keeps trying to touch me and follow me around. The cashiers standing on the ends look like they really couldn't care less about their jobs. At least the hardware area is helpful and friendly.

My wife, an employee placed an order for a pro pack of trim and because she's an employee the pro desk did not fulfill this order when it was placed. This was over a month ago and now due to every loop this organization has sent us through we are still waiting on the order. Between the warehouse failing to ship to the store employees failing to do their job a 2 week job has taken 2 months. This is shameful for the guy whose pay depends on this job to be completed and it shows that your employees will not honor a placed order. Get your stuff together this is unacceptable. And Adrian the manager did not update us on anything after I spoke directly to him.

Willy in flooring is the best! Got me in and out with everything I needed. Even thought ahead to possible mistakes and replacing damaged planks from my dogs/kids, selling me an extra case, which we ended up needing because the color was discontinued! WAY TO GO HOME DEPOT....finally someone who understands the customer and the job.

Bought a $600 rechargeable self propelled mower and an extended warranty as a gift. Asked for a "gift receipt" twice before paying and then the person working the register did not know how to print a gift receipt or have any information on the $200 warranty I just bought. Had to get a supervisor, who had to get another supervisor to even get the warranty information but no one in the entire store could get me a gift receipt. On top of this, I looked at the mowers for 45 minutes or more with no assistance from a CSR and ended up getting a flat cart and loading the mower myself. I am a Home Depot Pro member and usually shop in my local Alabama store or online and have never experienced this lack of customer service.

Exceptional service encountered the few times I have shopped at the Sterling location; primarily on March 3, 2020. I have shopped at many locations across the nation over a course of 15 yrs & have had some good but many unpleasant experiences. However, every time I have shopped at this location I have encountered able, ample, warm and friendly workers ready to assist and make my shopping experience pleasant from the entry greeting to the check-out & loading. On March 3, 2020 we entered the store about an hour before closing to do a large purchase for a remodel which was quite a distance away. We quickly realized that we would not have enough time to find, select and complete the purchase before the store would close. The Staff bent over backward realizing our plight and rallied together to assist us through the entire process including keeping the store open way beyond the close time. All the worker assisted by looking up items, directing us to isle locations, helping to select the right item for the job, educating us on products, cutting lumber, mixing paint, bringing carts of product to the check out, cashiering and loading. We were also informed of how we could save on the purchase through a bid at the pro-desk. We were so blown away by the staff's patience, attentiveness, and exceptional service that we attempted to tip them. Unfortunately they were unable to accept. We want to therefore send this review and call attention to this location (store 1545) for their exceptional customer service and request a promotion for/special acknowledgement for all the staff that assisted us listed below. Special thanks to Store manger Lori, Department supervisor Ryan and clerks; Pamela, Lee, Patrick, Ryan, Brandon, Garrett, Calli, Nathan, and any others whose names we may not have obtained, for their exceptional customer service. Keep up the good work!Thank you

I drove 95 miles to get to Home Depot. When I got to the store a young man meat me at the door and said they were closed. The time was Two minutes after eight and said they close at eight and all registers were closed. There were a dozen people at the register directly behind him. There were people shopping in the store behind him. I told him I needed one item and had traveled 95 miles to get there. He then laughed at me and said No we are closed. I could have gotten the piece of trim I needed and been at the check out counter before they finished the people in line. I will never go to any Home depot again. 70 dollars in gasoline for nothing.

Moved the rating from 5 star to 1 star.Standing in store now. One gent said he would pull a door down. 45min later no door.Had front desk call twice for help. No show.Caught someone walking by, had to go to another call.Finally, someone helps and another 30 minutes.This should be stocked in an accessible location no? There is a spot for it.Went to get red guard. It's on upper shelf, same situation.30min later someone gets a ladder to restock and brings down ONE that I need. Doesn't restock the shelf to avoid this again.There are more orange suits in here than customers and they are all milling about up front.Friendly, yes. Organized? No.Go to the lumber yard, I am.

Bought some osb online. Went in and probably one of the easiest pick-ups I've ever done in my 13 years of construction. They have such a nice set up where you pull through and they load you right up. Really awesome service! The people running and working at this store are doing a great job!
