Everything was great! We stayed two nights and really enjoyed it. I would give 5 star but there was mouse poop in the pan below the stove...not a major deal i own a house too it happens. But also the hot tub started loosing heat in the late night, maybe we left the cover off too long. But we were really enjoying relaxing with no kids and staring at the stars with not much light pollution. So it was easy to keep in the tub, just not powerful enough for the 40 degree night temp I guess.Nearby activities: Hiking exploring and the mountain tap pizza a short walk away is great.Safety: Quiet and safe small town vibes!Food & drinks: Go to mountain tap room and pizza!

Nice cabin. Was more of a personal experience though before when people actually worked here! A little disconcerting to just have a code to the door instead of a key. Got in fine, had a little problem locking it one day,had to push the door forward for the lock to connect. Hot tub is nice, comfortable bed. Very cute furnishings. Even has a small oven which is nice. It's quiet here even though highway is close. Only complaints, screen door in front is very hard to open and close. We told the surly maintenance guy,he said he'd have to order a new one or parts,so nothing was done about it. Room only has two tiny baby forks, bring your own. Was told it was stocked with a large, med, and small frypan, only had a small cast iron pan. We asked cleaning girls if they had others, they didn't. The ladies were friendly at least! Overall, great place, just some minor glitches. If management is reading this the screen door needs replaced in the Moose cabin!

Perfect! We had a long drive and didnt get in till 11pm. The way everything was set up was 1000% perfect! We rolled right up to our cabin with the key secured near the door via keycode, as we were rolling up 3 deer were bedding down less than 10 feet. We had our own hot tub and a plethora of towels. The hot tub could have been hotter for sure but hands down this place was so easy and so nice.

The room was clean and the heater worked. That's the end of the positives. The shower didn't drain, there were exposed nails in the walls and tack strips in the floor, our room wasn't serviced for 3 days. When we called and complained we were given a number that was out of service. Three more calls and an hour later we were finally brought towels. No wash cloths, no toilet paper, no paper towels. The most alarming fact was that the light over the sink didn't work. When I traced the wire, I found a power cord spliced into Romex with just electrical tape exposed in the cabinet. Definitely not up to code. This place was cheap and we got what we paid for. We will find somewhere better next time. If you do decide to stay, bring a power strip there are 2 accessible plugs in the whole unit. The slow cooker holds about 2 quarts (not large enough to feed the number the unit sleeps) so bring your own.

The price online said $80 per night but we were charged $212. So we called to dispute, spent the next 2+ hours being transferred back and forth from one agent to another to get it resolved. Theirs no excuse for such nonsense! Check out the Rainbow hotel nearby for fair rates and good service!

We stayed in the hotel section and enjoyed having a grill and our proximity to restaurants and wolf creek. It is a "budget stay" and it seems that management is not trying to do much upkeep. I booked the place mainly because hot tubs were advertised but due to covid they are closed. I understand and appreciate the safety precautions but you should tell potential guests. There were other cleanliness issues that turned me off and I won't stay here again.

We stayed over New Year's day. We had a great time up in the mountains just a little drive away and through town in the evenings. The staff is great and provided a ton of information for activities and nearby restaurants. The rooms aren't bad size wise, but the bath room is a little tight with scolding hot water when you turn on the sink or shower. The kitchen pans had a little something in them and needed to be wiped out real quick before use. Great over all experience though.

Booked a cabin last year for our hunting trip. neat clean and well located. Great place to stay.Booked the same cabin again this year about a month in advance, and paid 50% deposit ($179.00). 2 weeks before the elk hunt my hunting partner got badly injured at work.So I canceled the booking 10 day in advance. Although there cancellation policy is a bit tight with a 14 day deadline and we had a bit of a problem, Karen came to the rescue and resolved the issue.Thank you, and if all go according to plan, we will see you next year.Booked again: 2017Ronnie is a great guy. Place is clean as always. Price is good, Just a great overall place to stay.

Advertised prices are deceptive. The taxes and fees were more than the room. There was no one there when I checked in. It was dark when I got there and I couldn't find my cabin. The cabins are behind the motel building not visible in the dark, and you have to drive down a narrow alley to get to them. I called them to get directions when I was having trouble finding it but they were only able to read me the same directions I had already received, not very helpful but I eventually found it. I had to call again when the code to get into my cabin wouldn't work, and they gave me a very generic code that I suspect opened all the rooms. I didn't feel very safe. I couldn't use the hot tub in the morning because they came to test it and add chemicals. The shower curtain was moldy. The mattress had a piece of foam on top. Other than that the room was clean with good accommodations.

This was our second visit to Foothills Lodge and Cabins and plan to make it a yearly excursion. They've changed to a managed Vacasa property so it's a bit different than our last visit. There is no longer an on-site manager but there is a number to call with any issues you may have. Our cabin is clean, the location is awesome, and the rates are reasonable. Check-in is around 4pm which seems to be normal and check-outs are at 11am. Each time we're offered a late checkout until 7pm for an extra $30 which is convenient if needed. There are a collection of standalone cabins, some with hot tubs, and a bunch of rooms located in lodges on-site. There is also a shared hot tub and small swim pool that can be checked out as well. Definitely recommended, just don't steal our dates! This place reserves fast.

We booked for two nights but only stayed for one because Cabin 5 was such a letdown. Originally, we were going to camp in a different town, but our travel plans changed last minute due to the fires, so we booked at Foothills Lodge. The cabin, which was more like a motel since it wasn't a standalone cabin, smelled musty and moldy. Surfaces were mostly clean, but there was sand or dirt on one of the beds. The kitchenette was small but would have been fine. The main issue was the smell and how uncomfortable the beds are. They dip down in the middle, and neither of us slept well. My recommendation is to drive a little further to Pagosa Springs and find something there. Don't throw away your money at Foothills Lodge.

Nice cabins! We stayed at the goat cabin via Vacasa. Our party of 10 plus a dog fit comfortably. Plenty of places to walk the dog and there was a grocery store nearby (a 5m walk or a short drive away). They had spare soaps and dog bowls, maps, and travel brochures in the accommodation cabin. Would stay again!

Fortunately I read review before I reserved online. The advertised price was $51 but at the last step they sneak in $200 in fees for 1 night.

I stayed here once before and made a point of returning. Great value for the amenities and great staff. In spite of traveling alone, my cabin had multiple beds, a large common area, kitchen, and hot tub. Ronnie will take good care of you here.

Stepping outside and seeing mountains all around me made my morning. The room was fresh and clean and the service was amazing. We arrived at the cabin very late and we're having issues with the lock, but when we called customer services they were able to get us right in. When we booked it we weren't expecting to drive five hours, but it was well worth the drive.

Booked on air B-n-B good price clean and comfortable but after arriving my cabin doesn't have a hot tub like it explicitly says in the title of add. There 2 community hot tubs are closed because the dont want to have to watch over scheduling of it. The only reason I booked this place was so I could soak in a hot tub after a day on the mountains. Clearly they knew the hot tubs have been closed from covid for over 9 months now and yet they still advertise having a hot tub available in the title of the add. Honestly could of just booked the quality inn for the same experience and saved a few hundred.

I stayed here while I was on my honeymoon. I love it so much. I am very willing to go back some day. I'm from Texas so it was unlike anything I've experienced here. The people who work here are fantastic. They gave us their number in case we had an emergency and their office was closed or if we needed assistance in the middle of the night. Very caring people. Any questions we had about the area were answered by them. I highly recommend staying here.

When we got to the cabin the window was open and all pipes were frozen as well as the water in the toilet bowl. Called the office and they said it would heat up soon. Daughter got sick that night and threw up used the one extra towel to clean it up and called to request new sheets. No on site office to get sheets or towels from so had to wait until 1pm the next day when someone threw a bag with clean sheets in the room. Had to put sheets and towels out myself. Would rather pay the same price elsewhere with onsite management. If the place was deeply discounted it would be worth it but it's not discounted compared to others in the area I have stayed at before with proper care for guest issues.

Stayed here with my wife Ellen, daughter Rusty and son Audrey. It was amazing. Despite all the problems with cross - country driving it really was worth it. Our pooch Dinky loved it too. He took a huge poop in an old lady's cabin and had a great time. I'd give it 8 stars if I could. Thank you Foothills!

Booked a reservation a month in advance... got a confirmation email. Was supposed to be a family trip for 7 people on labor day weekend. We take the 5 hour drive and arrive... Only to find out there is no reception or office to check in at. You have to call a number to a call center in Oregon! After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I find they cancelled my reservation and also didn't notify me in any way. This place is in the middle of the mountains so this is no good. They end up being fully booked and we are screwed. We ended up going to a crappy hotel down the road and spend nearly double to accommodate the 7 of us.

We had a great girls weekend. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. It was comfortable, roomy, quiet, and the staff were friendly. Definitely a place we will come back to visit.

The room was clean. It was a little small but that was not a problem. We were there for golf so the location was great; about 2 miles from the course. There is no attendant on duty so that was a little odd but all went well.

We loved this place. We had a few small issues and the management was there minutes later with a solution 👍. Also, we are truly impressed by the impeccable cleaning job they do (and we are clean freaks). Amazing! Thank you for the lovely stay

Awesome little cabin. The owners were great. There is a sweet little cat that roams around as well. Very close to a grocery store. If you keep a look out you might even get a visit from some of big eared neighbors.

What can I say but another great fishing trip this year. Caught a lot of fish, ate way too much and had a great place to stay that was nice, clean and close to the best fishing in Colorado. I will soon be booking my accommodations for next year.Thank You ,Foothills Lodge Owner's and Employee's for a great time and affordable place to stayRoy JonesMidland Texas

It was a cheap place to stay. We expected a cabin, not a cheap hotel. There are about four "cabins" connected together (cabins 1-4), the flooring is similar to an rv. So when anyone in those 4 cabins shuts a door or walks around, you feel it like they are shutting your door svc waking around in your room. As you walk through the room you feel like you are going to fall through the floor. Very loud! The heating is on one heating unit in the back of the unit, if you close the doors to any rooms, they get no heat.Basically if you have young kids that wake up easily and are expecting something semi nice, this isn't your place. Will not be staying again. Plus the town if South Fork has nothing to offer as far as shopping or good food. Every restaurant was horrible.

Large two bedrooms condo units clean and nicely decorated and well managed. Off season rates for one person were offered. I stayed over. Very good bed and bedding. Shower, no tub.
