I booked my stay at the end of January for mid-April travel dates. My husband got a notification that he had to go on an unexpected work trip, and we were not going to be available to make our reservation. I contacted the property as soon as I was aware of his schedule change, nearly 3.5 weeks before my reservation date, in order to cancel. I was still charged 50% of my reservation cost, despite the fact that my cancellation was so far in advance and due to circumstances outside of my control. I never got the opportunity to actually stay at this hotel, but based on their customer service, I will not be making a repeat reservation. I could understand if I was canceling with a week or less notice, but nearly a month gives you plenty of time to re book the room, and there is no cost loss by my reservation being cancelled so far in advance. The unwillingness of the hotel to work with patrons when circumstances outside their control affect travel plans is rather shocking. I was looking forward to pur stay, based on the other reviews, but after this experience, I will spend my money elsewhere.

The rooms were extremely overpriced, tiny, and cramped there's literally nobody here if you need anything, $200 a night for a one bed room when you could go stay at the Avon hotel across the street for 130 a night for three beds, there is an old-timey restaurant underneath it but it's closed down so you look at the website and the internet about this hotel and it says it has a old timey restaurant underneath it but it's actually closed down

I liked this better than my wife did, but to each his or her own. I was surprised at how good the service was, considering the place was packed when we got there. I really liked my sandwich and fries, but the wife thought things were a little greasy. Cheese cake was good. The servers were awesome!

They were super busy with it being 4th of July but the service was great. I loved my breakfast sandwich. Biscuits and gravy were also good. The over hard eggs were a little off, somehow they turned the yolk into a ring but it's an uncommon ask. Food came out quick and they got us on our way

This is by far the cleanest hotel I've ever been in! It has a very cozy feel ,everything you need from shampoo and facial wipes down to bottles of water and truffles! Really cute soap in the bathroom! Everything was spotless I couldn't believe down to every detail! There's a short walk to a great pizza place that was still open when I arrived! I called to let them know I would be there to check in by 7 instead of 4 and the customer service was excellent! Keyless entry was extremely easy to use! Highly recommend!

Great dining experience in a really cute downtown area. We ate grilled chicken, sweet potato fries, salad and a burger. Everything was delicious. Cute inside atmosphere with additional outdoor seating. Staff was extra super friendly. Glad we found this place.

at this time for this year I've not stayed at the Bent Elbow. "But I have before" our group does have every room booked for May 6th. 2023, the OWNER needs to contact me ASAP.. Two hundred and forty five dollars a night is not what you advertised.. everything could change if I'm contactedjim. yes $245 per night..... not $90 as advertised.. 4/30/20235/1/23. your telling me the local tax n fees are twice the room cost? I assure you the public is not aware of the extra cost. I've stayed with you before and was not the case. I'm contacting the better business in Silverton.. To complain. the other 5 will also be following suit. How come the others don't have the same fee?I spoke with the booking agency 5/1/23 I was informed there is a $95 cleaning fee. My advice, look at other place's in Silverton. Also, there is a large fee if canceling within 30 day's.. Please, read the small print. A booking agency is handing the bookings, not the owner.5/5/23 4:16 pm mountain time.you fb me to see if you could help just give you my number. I did, you have it. nothing in 6 hours. we check in tomorrow, 5/6/23we here, no restaurant no bar. nothing.Rooms: almost three times the advertise price

I tried the chicken fried steak and the salmon. Both were delicious and done perfectly. I love chicken fried steak, and find that it is a good way to test a restaurant. If a restaurant can pull off a good chicken fried steak, they can usually do everything else well too. The Bent Elbow passed the test with flying colors, and they were timely despite the restaurant being packed with passengers from the D&SNG train. As a bonus, there was live piano music, with a modern take on the old west feel. Thanks for the great experience! Highly recommended!

The team at the Bent Elbow took great care of us. Bonnie was not only a great waitress, she personally helped me with local restaurant recommendations. They bent over backwards to accommodate our group of 20. The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional and the staff was some of the best we had seen in the west.

Had a fantastic dinner tonight! I had the prime rib and my husband had the sirloin steak. Both were cooked to perfection. The Bent Elbow offers a wide variety of dinner options and is competitively priced with similar restaurants. Johnny the piano player played all sorts of saloon music and thoroughly entertained the dinner guests. We had a fantastic time and stayed until the music stopped. The wait staff was excellent and attentive! A special shout-out to the bartender who made awesome drinks!I am updating this review after another amazing meal with my family this weekend. Silverton is quickly becoming a family favorite for outdoor activities and always includes a dinner at the Bent Elbow. Tonight’s dinner was on the recommendation of our server Charlie who highly recommended the burrito. My husband and I split that along with a dinner salad. Again the Bent Elbow didn’t disappoint. The burrito was absolutely delicious and the service was spot on. Thank you again for your contribution to another fabulous weekend.

Been on vacation now for 4 days on an across country trip. We stopped in not knowing anything about the Bent Elbow. It was amazing!!! The best food by far and a good value to boot. So sad to hear that today was the last day they would be open due to the building being sold.

The hotel is nice, but there is no AC, which wasn't good for us. Yes it gets cool at night, but the room took a long time to cool down and people were smoking up to 10:30pm at the tables outside below our room so we had to shut the windows. The windows had no screens so we ended up with bugs in the room too.We were told the beds are new, but they are very soft pillow top beds and were very uncomfortable for us since we need a bed a little more firm. They felt like worn out mattresses to us because of how soft they were. So, hotel was nice and quiet and clean, but warm and uncomfortable for sleeping in the summer and we wouldn't stay here again since the cool-comfortable sleeping is most important. The restaurant has very good food and is a nice atmosphere. But, prices at this restaurant and all others in town are higher in my opinion, but on par for a tourist town. Although their Mexican food menu pricing is more inline with what it should be.

New owner is a very nice lady! Great to eat breakfast downstairs in the morning. Food was Great! The stairs to upstairs are very steep. The rooms are charming and beautiful! The theme of rooms are a special touch. Second time we have stayed for more than four days. Would stay again, if I ever get back! Beautiful town!

Not sure why it says free breakfast, you definitely have to pay! It was a cozy room with all sorts of nice themed touches. And you are close to fun off roading trails if you’re into that, and if not, plenty to walk around and see around town..Only downside is it is a *very* “traditional” place…I definitely did not feel welcome there and made sure to not eat in the restaurant and instead take it to go…also Go to the golden block brewery if you’re in the area!!!Edit: added picture of where it says free breakfast on your google listing. Should probably take that off of your amenities because you are advertising a service you do not provide.I did book direct and the $10 coupon is awesome!

The place was not very crowded during lunch on a June weekday. Service was fast, and the menu was interesting. The sandwiches were novel, and mine was good. A couple vegetarian options that weren't trying to imitate meat and sounded good in their own right.Maybe there is a hotel, I saw a sign that said vacancy. It carries the vintage feel of the town but off the main street. If go back

Great food! Interesting atmosphere with tin work on the walls and ceiling. Really used to be a saloon in the 1800's. Piano player was fantastic. We really knew it was going to be good when the narrator from the train ate there too.

Not a hotel. These are essentially condos that get rented out by a third party called Vacasa, which is absolutely terrible. Really zero stars on service for booking. My wife and I had planned a trip to Silverton to ski last week but due to storms both roads to Silverton were closed. We stayed in Durango for 3 days at another hotel waiting for the road to open, called the Bent Elbow several times, which forwards your call directly to Vacasa. The reps at Vacasa are not even in Colorado so have no idea what's going on and did zero follow up with us. We're were charged the full cost of the booking, including huge cleaning fees, even though we never stepped foot in Silverton. Bent Elbow hotel is basically a non-entity, and Vacasa was completely useless. Be warned.

Can't say enough good things about his place. Visited for dinner about a month ago and the food and staff were amazing. Then I took a large group there this past week for a big breakfast. Again, the food was so delicious and the staff was super nice and very very good even with our large group. I highly recommend eating here if you get the chance.

My wife and I stopped here midweek and post-lunch (one other couple dining). The sandwiches were good, but not special. Friendly service, average speed getting our food (seemed slow with the place empty). We sat near the back and the kitchen was really loud. But if you're looking for a good sandwich in Silverton, stop here.

What a great find. The food was exceptional. I had the eggs florentine and my hubby had the french toast with strawberries and almonds. Coffee came in big hefty mugs. The management was so friendly and kind. Really can't think of anything that could have been better.

Oh my gosh! What a surprise this place was for breakfast. The biscuits are tender and flavorful with a gravy that is not greasy, it was the perfect bite. My husband had the breakfast burrito with enough green chillies on it for the spicy eater in your group to enjoy with a very flavorful filling. They make their own bread and pastries. It was a real treat for all of us. This is the place to have breakfast when you come to Silverton, partner.

I had lunch at the Bent Elbow today and it was a great experience. With the Iron Horse bike race as well as the train from Durango, this place was hopping. Even as packed as it was, the wait staff were very attentive and brought my food quickly and pleasantly. The piano player had people throughout the restaurant clapping and singing with the music. Great atmosphere and fabulous food!

The back in time theme was perfect. The food was surprisingly great. I asked the server what do they do in the winter. She answered the weekends were busier than one might think. I loved the place as did the rest of our 10 person party. Well worth the visit.
