Wow! I had the Killer Bee Kimchi and it was delicious and actually full of the ingredients listed on the sandwich. The baguette was a perfect match for it. My husband got the Vito and was also very happy with it. I’m not a vegetarian, but always appreciate veggie forward places with new ideas and combos of ingredients. We’re taking a bag of Ozzie Monster Cookies home too. Can’t wait to make those with my kids.

Best Sandwiches in Salida. The huge selection of sandwiches doesn't stop them from perfecting each.You can split a sandwich and they’ll wrap each half with it’s own pickle on the side.

Had some business in Salida and while in town my partner and I stopped here for lunch. It was super busy which was a good sign. They have Zapp's chips, which was the reason I wanted to go here (saw them from outside- I'm from Louisiana and they're hard to find in CO!) in the first place. They have an AWESOME and unique menu and I highly doubt there isn't something for everybody here. The food was ready quickly despite how busy they were and we decided to eat there. Its a pick your own seat kind of place which is awesome. The sandwich I chose was fantastic as was my partner's. Their take on the Ruben is excellent. Highly recommend! Will be returning! I would suggest checking their menu online before going because they have so many choices, I had a hard time deciding on the spot. Looking forward to the next visit.

WOW! I just had the best Ruben of my LIFE. AND I've been to KATZ'S DELICATESSEN in New York City. The Ruben I had here was better than that! It just melted in my mouth and I couldn't wait for the next bite. Everything tasted fresh. The pastrami was so tender it just melted and exploded with flavor. The staff here are so NICE! This place is a real mountain town surprise to find such a deli of such good taste! We will definitely come back this summer!Wow just wow!

Stopped in after a hike. Got a chicken salad sandwich, jalapeño chips, boylans birch beer soda, and a gingersnap cookiesandwich… they weren’t joking on that dessert! It was delicious. Chewy and sweet. Balanced out the savory chicken. Go check this place out. Good value for what you get and they are ready with recommendations. Parking is limited so prepare to add a few steps to your daily total.

We were very impressed with this sandwich shop. Our sandwiches were perfect, just like I would have made them at home. I had a mountain club and a brownie with peanut butter cream (awsome). One sandwich can easily satisfy two people for those with a smaller appetite.

Needed a quick somewhat healthy stop on the way to Crested Butte. Food was fresh. Plenty of options. There is a sandwich for every person there, hot and cold. I got the Mona Lisa and liked it a lot. My hobby got the Don Drapper and he LOVED it. They sell fresh made bread and packaged bulk meats. Fresh sweet baked goods. This might be our permanent stopping point on our road trips.

Tried one of the grasshopper bars. Not usually someone who likes sweets, but this was amazing. Perfectly fudgy browine with some sort of mint cream on top. We ordered carry-out on a Saturday afternoon in mid-September. The place was busy, but the service was prompt and friendly.My husband chose the vegetarian Salida Saranade sandwich. Everyone in our group was drooling because it looked and smelled so delicious!! He confirmed it was more-than-yummy with the smile on his face!Also delighted to learn that he could order a can of beer (unopened) to carry out to the riverside picnic area.We will definitely be back to try more vegetarian choices when we're in Collegiate Peaks again.

Normally my favorite sandwich shop in Colorado but super disappointed today. It's a Monday so I thought showing up at 2pm wouldn't be too bad of a wait. My 2 sandwich order took 33 minutes. People who had ordered after me left before me. I get that maybe they had easier orders but two sandwiches directly from the menu with no changes shouldn't take 33 minutes. When I opened the sandwich, it is completely side ways. The meat is hanging off to one side and I don't think the top and bottom of the baguette are the same size. I was really looking forward to this visit but probably won't be back for awhile.

The sweets here are obviously great but their sandwiches are eh. The Pastrami specifically is super disappointing. I’ve order a pastrami here twice and both times it was the worst sandwich I’ve had. There was such a tiny amount of meat that i was basically eating a mustard mayo and pickle sandwich. The first time I thought was a fluke like maybe someone new made my sandwich. But the second time I think there was even less meat than the first. Subway puts more meat on their sandwiches. The second time my friend also got a sandwich that had chicken. Not a ton of meat but enough to call it a sandwich. See picture of pastrami sandwich after first bite. (Disclaimer: no meat was removed before the making of this photo). Will I go back? Probably for the sweets. Define not for a sandwich

This is my favorite lunch place. I always get a sandwich and a float and have never been disappointed. They load up their sandwiches and the floats come with a cup of soft serve and a bottled drink so you can add as much or as little as you want.
