Always a great experience. Sales people are friendly and knowledgeable. They don't work for commissions so they are free to give honest advice. The selection of firearms is huge and varied. Just a nice gunshop. Highly recommend.

After searching far and wide for a specific discontinued CCW, and coming up empty handed. I took a chance and called Salida Gun Shop. Much to my surprise, they actually had one in stock brand new. I lived 1 1/2 hours away and couldn't make it before closing. With a little cash to hold it, I found my gun. The next day, I went to the store and was blown away. They have a vast assortment of guns, ammo, optics, accessories....etc. It is full of hard to find stuff and brand new. The associates are very knowledgeable, respectful, and willing to answer any question you have about guns, safety, and compliance with new laws that seem to change regularly. Cody and Matt are the ones I dealt with. They made my experience very pleasent and put a smile on this old vets face. Hoo wah... Salida Gunshop.... you have earned my business for life. I don't mind driving that distance for your selection, associates, and prices. Can't wait to order my next rifle

Was victim of bait and switch with pricing of a very minor job. Purchased a handgun. Expressed desire for trigger upgrade. Was told the new trigger would be dropped in for free as it was a new gun purchase. Called back to ask for the trigger to be installed (prior to taking posession of gun) and then told it would be $50 labor. At the counter they then told me it was now $65. When pressed on this issue was simply told "yeah, sorry about that, $65!" Very off putting experience. Not sure I'll be back. So much for trying to help a small local business!

If you want to find the hard to find kit, then Salida gun shop is your best opportunity. Friendly faces helpful folks helping you to get on the range and stay on the range. Plenty of safety education opportunities with an indoor range and ample classroom facilities for crucial pre-brief, brief & de-brief firearms handeling. Great place great prices great selection.

This is my favorite gunshop ever! The owners and staff are exceptional human beings and the inventory is incredible even based on the huge online retail stores. This place will go above and beyond for their clients and make everyone feel like a local. I’ve been shopping here for 8 years and there is no reason to go anywhere else.

Great experience and customer service. After doing hours of research looking for a specific h&k model, they had one of the very few models available online. That in itself deserves praise.I called to see if the specific model was available and was excited to learn that it was. They confirmed that the model fit the exact description I was looking for and got delivery and payment squared away right then and there.Big shout out to Matt for giving me a fantastic gun buying experience.

I’ve been looking for a particular precision rifle for several months and came across Salidas Gun Shop. I sent and email to confirm it was in stock and within minutes I had a positive response. After a quick phone call with Matt at the store I had purchased my gun…at a great price too. The gun was shipped to my FFL the next day. Matt was helpful in answering questions. I went in recently and grabbed a great rifle for a great price, the staff was beyond knowledgeable and extremely friendly, patient, and courteous. I have moderate experience with firearms, but they have almost everything you need from starter sport shooter to master marksman, and they can order whatever isn't in stock. With regular giveaways, good rates on ammunition, and a pretty great store location, I won't be going anywhere else in the future for my shooting needs and wants.

This store is a must stop at destination for any firearm enthusiast, or anyone curious about them. First off, the inventory selection is incredible and constantly rotating. If they don't have it in stock one day, odds are they will the next.Second, the employees here are dedicated to advocating for the proper and responsible use of firearms, and take safety extremely seriously. They are happy to answer any questions, even ones that may be "common knowledge" for many.Additionally, I am constantly astonished at the level of customer service provided at this location. Even if you let them know you are not purchasing anything, you still are treated like a VIP.

What a great local shop. I've made multiple purchases from here, and left satisfied every time. Staff is very knowledgeable, the facilities are clean and well maintained. Firearm selection and prices are excellent. We're in a nationwide ammo shortage but these guys have been doing their best keeping everything stocked.
