Got my blood pressure meds refilled and was told to pick up after 9:00am. Went later in the day to be told it's not refilled and I could only buy 2 days of the presciption I need every day AND that those two pills would cost more than the entire month. Scammy place! Fortunately there are other options in town.

i know this pharmacy has bad reviews and i don't need to read them to know it is because they are understaffed. every place in salida is understaffed. what i will say is these are good hardworking people and they will do everything they possibly can to help you. they are just very busy

I went to pick up a medication that my insurance wasn't approving to be filled and I found a phone number to call and request an override, which Cameron did immediately for me, as I am leaving for a cruise tomorrow early morning and had misplaced some of my prescription. He went above and beyond to make sure we tried everything legally possible to fulfill this request and did so almost immediately. In a small town, where everyone is understaffed...I truly appreciate this! Thank you so very much!! <3

Absolutely incompetent pharmacists.Long story short, they told me my insurance wouldn't work since it's out of state, but I called my insurance and they said it should be approved. I went back and forth with Safeway, my doctor, and my insurance for weeks, and the Safeway pharmacists just couldn't figure it out. They were also quite rude to me, getting snappy and blaming my doctor's office. So I tried the Walmart Pharmacy, and what do you know - within two days I had my medicine and it was covered by my insurance. I have no idea why Safeway couldn't figure it out, but obviously this was entirely their fault. They clearly do not know how to do their job.So thanks to the two rude pharmacists at Safeway, I missed two days of a very important medication. Their incompetence and unwillingness to do their job correctly put my health at risk. That is absolutely appalling. I will never use Safeway pharmacies again, as clearly they just hire random people off the street.

Should be shut down. Making up a lie saying they don't have it and refusing to give me my medication and it's an emergency. Got an attitude too. I will be reporting this.

The pharmacy went back to its old ways -- so understaffed that the poor pharmacist ends up doing everything, including answering the phone and cashiering. Although we are not fans of Walmart in general, we moved our prescriptions there and people actually answer the phone and contact your doctor when needed.

Rating 1 star because you can’t rate it a zero. My wife has had many a sleepless night due to their incompetence. Absolutely the worst people i have ever dealt with. Won’t ever answer the phone, go in person and it’s even worse. If you hate your job that much to where you are rude to customers, why don’t you quit?

Use to love this pharmacy but now that most everyone who worked there that cared about people and actually did their job are gone this place has gone down the tubes. They never answer the phone so you can call in scripts or have them have prescriptions ready that you don't have a script number for. They don't call back when you leave a message. They don't order meds that they have scripts for weeks in advance so you run out of your meds long before you get them filled. Quite sick of how this pharmacy is being ran.

Having lived in the area for 17 years, Safeway's suckitude was well established a decade ago. I reserve special mention for the pharmacy. Maybe they're stressed, but hey so is everyone else. They're there to help people, and if that's not their thing, find something else to do.Snotty techs and disinterested pharmacists. Take your business elsewhere. I am.

The absolute worst experience with a pharmacy. Just go to Walmart if you’re in Salida. Their miscommunication costed me my job

If they actually ever answer the phone after calling multiple times, they will then leave you on hold for 25+ minutes before hanging up! It can take a whole day or even longer to get one prescription filled. Some of the staff is very friendly and helpful- others can be very rude.

If you need our meds timely. Do not come here. Never have I ever heard of a pharmacy that makes cancer patients wait multiple days for meds needed the day of. DO NOT COME HERE.
