Have gone here a few years now with my kids and relatives and it’s the one of the best rental/ski shops In Colorado they treat their customers great. Their gear is much better and newer than other shops around. Go here

What a great ski shop. We had our skis serviced twice during a 10 day trip, great job done all round. My son also snapped one of his ski poles and the manager gave us a pair of poles to borrow for our whole trip. I would highly recommend for all ski related services and I also noticed a great selection of rentals available. We will return again soon and will be using all services again. Fantastic shop and a great group of people.

I visited today (12/31/23) and was blown away by the team at Mountain Haus. I don’t usually write reviews, but this deserved it.I knew that the timing of my visit would be tricky, given the busy time of the season. I was asking the team to not only do a rental for my son’s skis, but also to fit my boots onto my own bindings, something that Korey was more than willing to do. He was congenial, kind, and friendly from the beginning, and his above and beyond service was really memorable. Then, once we realized that my bindings wouldn’t fit properly, he calmly explained my options and walked me through what was possible. When he had to step away to visit with another customer, Braden and Miles were phenomenal too - they helped troubleshoot the skis and then Miles offered to stay late and set new bindings onto the skis, despite the fact that it was NYE.If I was the owner of Mountain Haus I’d be super proud of the culture of helpfulness, friendliness, and generosity of spirit that was present across all 4 employees we interacted with. We will always visit Mountain Haus now when we come to Monarch.

Stop here, do not reserve gear from Monarch, it is not comparable. If you’re in need of rentals (or purchases) for skiing or snowboarding this is your one stop shop. We were very pleased with our gear from Mountain Sports Haus and not so pleased with what we had reserved and already paid for a month in advance at Monarch Mountain.Team members are knowledgeable and friendly.

To be clear, this is the best rental place near monarch and I will definitely continue to get my rentals from them as they are always friendly and very helpful.Only reason for a 3 star review is that we had a frustrating experience yesterday 3/13 when we planned to get a walk-in rental. On their website it states that from 3/5-3/15, there are no online reservations and only walk ins, so when we showed up yesterday to get a walk-in, we were surprised to learn that they were only doing walk ins after 11am. This was not listed ANYWHERE on their site so this was frustrating to have to deal with.Again, they were nice about letting us know and they have always been the best rental experience I’ve ever had, a little more communication would have been nice tho 👍

I asked about ordering a never summer split board and it was delivered to the shop two days later. I will only use them for rentals when my friends and family visit. I would give them more stars if I could.

We used Mountain Haus for our guests ski rentals. They showed up early, they were professional, treated our guests well and were very patient.Quinn and Miles worked really hard to set up and serve 180 people. We were very impressed and plan to continue to use Mountain Haus.

Truly a 5 star experience! Thank you Miles, Kalie and Corey! You are all excellent! These guys are so friendly and helpful! We had everything from beginner skiers to super advanced skiers! Our son and grandson rented demo skis and changed skis everyday. Miles encouraged our son to rent specific ones and he ended up buying the demos as they were perfect for him! The employees there are knowledgeable and very excited to help! We love this place! They have our business for all future trips!

What a wonderful experience. Miles and Corey were just a pleasure to work with… I hadn’t been on new skis in many years and wanted to demo before purchasing. They were both very knowledgeable and took what I was looking for and put me on some absolute rippers. I absolutely fell in love with the last pair I was on. When I turned the skis in the guys offered me a great deal but I told them I needed to think about it overnight… Miles said “I’ll wax them and have them sharpened up for you if you decide to get them”. When I showed up the next morning they were ready to go and I think Miles was more excited for me getting them than I was…lol… and I was really excited… we had 8 family members renting that week and everyone was very happy with the equipment and the service was stellar. Do not rent anywhere else but Mountain Haus.

This place rules. Bought a new board from them a couple months ago. Cranked too hard on the bindings because I’m an ignorant beginner. The top left binding came apart, dropped a nut and bolt somewhere in the snow. Brought my board in to get it fixed. The guy looked at it and found that the threads were stripped. Upgraded me to the top of the line bindings for free. Told me to no longer crank them to the max, makes sense.

I went in to find my granddaughter a coat, and no other customers were in there, but there were about 5 what appeared to be employees, including the owner at the counter standing around talking. One employee asked what we were looking for, and we said a coat, and that is all I was able to get out when one of them pointed out that coats are over there. Nothing else. They went back to whatever. I looked for a coat and only found 3 for children and all too small. I commented on no other coats and not one offered to help or even say, "Can we help? or anything. What kind of customer service do you call that? Won't be back, which is too bad as I like to shop and support local business's but if rudeness is what I get then it's a nope. I went to Murdochs and found what I wanted and much better customer service.

These guys rock. We reserved in advance and they were ready and waiting with quality equipment. Super friendly and quick service at good prices. At some point at the end of our first day i lost a toe binding and Collin got us fixed up on our way back to the motel in a matter of minutes without extra charge. Highly recommend to anyone visiting to ski or snowboard monarch!

This place is awesome! The staff and pricing was great. It was my first time skiing and they were extremely helpful in talking me through the equipment and locations to ski. We needed up skiing Wolf Creek where it snowed the whole time and I had a blast.picked up skiing pretty fast and was skiing down slopes in no time. Definitely looking forward to my next ski trip.

Best ski shop in Salida. I went to other shops that day and they were so busy they pretty much ignored me, told me it would take 2 weeks to get my skis waxed, or overcharged me. Not only is everyone @ Mountain Sports amazingly friendly, but Ryan Taverna and staff had my skis done the very next day, for the best price in town. I've been back several times since to buy clothes and gear, and they are ALWAYS super friendly. Love this place.. don't shop elsewhere!!!

AMAZING! I don't think I've ever written a review before but I was so blown away and impressed with MSH, I had to share. Reserving the rental was incredibly easy and spot on. When I arrived, someone noticed as soon as I walked through the door, asked my name and hollered to an associate who immediately grabbed my stuff and had me try it on. I was in an out in less that 5 minutes. But, better than that was how warm, friendly and helpful they were. They actually LOVE what they do and were excited that others get the chance to benefit. Wow! Great job MSH; I'll be back!!

During a recent trip to Crestone, we decided to get out and explore the mountains on some snowshoes. At the advice of the local bartender, we drove into Poncha Springs and rented some from Mountain Sports Haus. Scott and his team members were really helpful, quick to get us taken care of, and eager to provide recommended routes. Return was quick and easy, and they were excited to hear our report.
