Nice little store, some things are more expensive but some it's worth the price rather than driving outside of platteville. Definitely a place to get something if you need it quickly. I've never had any problems with staff. Occasionally they run out of stuff in the refrigerated food section and it seems forever before it's restocked, otherwise a great store, friendly staff.

I just want to give a shout out to our local Dollar General. They are busting their butts and doing their best to keep their shelves stocked during this crazy time and taking care of our little community. Good Job Guys and Gals, we really appreciate you!

Great for quick little pickups of forgotten items around house. Friendly staff and easy parking.. Down side the manager here is lazy and will lie and cheat you; so she does not have to do anything! Twice I've stood in line and heard her lie and deceive people, especially if you don't speak perfect English ( she doesn't either). She won't help you no matter how cordial you are to her. DG had candy 50% off after holiday and she argued that 2 bags for 4.00 each are 8.00 in total, I explained that 2 bags at 4.00 each at 50% off is 4.00. That blew her mind. DG please make a change because she blames your corporate structure.. Jaded.

The clerk who I believe may actually have been a manager must of had a bad day. Came to the register and she groaned how "she can't seem to get anything done" making me feel like I was an inconvenience while she groaned and with a smirk came to the register.Her words were professional but the way she delivered them was gruff and bordering on rude. Never made eye contact. It's a dollar store so I'm not expecting 5 star treatment but I don't want to leave a store feeling rained on either.

It was the worst!!!! Lady was slow and acted like she definitely not wanting to be there!!!! Was rude and eating chips or something while checking people out....love Sherri at this store. But this old battleax needs to go...thumbs down on this visit.

This is a fed ex pick up location. Manger and staff were awesome when we had a mixup with a fed ex package. They went above and beyond to help us. Awesome customer service!!

Awful, awful store!!! Waited in line for 20 minutes. There were 3 people there and only 1 working! The other two were standing in an aisle talking. The store is such a mess. Boxes and carts full of stuff. I couldn't even go down the aisles.

I try not to go here unless I need something last minute. I’ve only received good customer service from two employees here. If someone is working up front they don’t greet you. When getting rung up they don’t speak to you unless it’s them telling you your total and asking if you want your receipt.

Why is it every time I go in here the kid with the shaved is either on "on break" or "on lunch"? Meanwhile the line is 20 deep and he is out in line making small talk with customers. When asked if he'll open another register he just says he's on break .This is a store that could do a ton of business. We don't have much for a grocery store in town

This dollar General has improved so much! Everything is a lot more organized and they have a lot more food then before which is great for a small town without a Grocery store.

Very unorganized, isle's hard to walk through. Some products were ringing up at a wrong price which we had to wait to figure out how much they should of been.

It's a dollar store. Had to wait 5 min to check out when I was only one in store. I could've walked out with what I was purchasing with no problem. (There was a cow bell that said ring for service. I rang it four separate times before cashier came to register.)

The older lady that works there she looks like the manager was quite rude not once asked if I needed help finding anything and when I asked she purposely ignored me did not once make iContact or smile or offer to help me she just pointed towards the area that I could find my item and never once said a word she was beyond rude not one ounce of customer service from her

They do a weird thing with your bags when you check out. Other than that the store has a bit of everything you need. Good deals. Last minute gifts.

So it 1:10 I am In check out u can the check out lady having a bad day or something the old guy in front of me talking old guy people we know how they move she get a little loud with him telling to pay before he grabs his bags then when I go up to pay she throws my items in the bag with attitude thinking she need to be train in customer service or let go it Monday u hate ur job find a new but feel for the old guy that was in front of me so some respect

So I would like to explain the 50s and 100s thing. We actually will break a 50 or 100. That is, if we actually have enough money in our drawer. But if we do it's probably because we need to cash drop soon. If we have too much money in a drawer, it is highly dangerous for a robbery-situation. Its best to keep the right amount in there instead of constantly being full. However, if you really need to break those bills, GO TO THE BANK. It's right across the street. We're not here so you can spend 2 dollars on a pack of gum just for the $98 back when there is not even five minutes away the bank where we get all our small bills. Seriously. If I need more fives, i get sent across the street to get more fives. And if I broke hundreds with no twenties in my drawer, that means I gotta make that trip more often. And btw thats why theres no signs. If you really need groceries, we'll take hundreds. If you really need twenties, we may or may not be able to provide.

Rude old lady ,plus only one person working . There was a 10+ minute line wait just to find out they dont brake $50s or $100s. They need a bigger sign stating the $50 and $100 deal.
