Loved Cory and his family! They made our trip much more enjoyable with their well stocked General Store and ATV Rentals. Store and vehicles were well maintained. They were very friendly and personable. Prices seemed very reasonable. Can't wait for our next trip. Will most likely rent a cabin with Cory and his family instead of where we stayed this time. They were top notch!

We stopped here as we were having coolant issues with our side by side. While they didn’t have any for sale, Cory was awesome and hooked us up with some from their shop - as they rent machines as well.He was great, wouldn’t take anything for it, and had some good advice for later which turned out to be spot on.Thank you Cory & Silver Plume!!They also had very good coffee which hit the spot :)

We just had the very best time you could possibly have on a vacation. Cory and his family were the absolute best, they made every visit to their store a great experience. The food at the grill was outstanding and the hospitality throughout the whole rental process was just perfect. They are the kind of people you want to deal with. We had the opportunity to rent from both Silver Plume and Taylor Park - Next year i will renting everything from Silver Plume. I cant wait till next year.

Stayed at the Silver Plume General Store for a 5 day get away. Highly recommenced for anyone who is looking to get away and explore. The owners were great and the accommodations were perfect. Locals were happy to recommend activities and we had a blast on the Polaris RZRs we rented to hit the local trails.

I had never rented a UTV before. We were close to Pitkin so gave it a try. Silver Plume Rentals was easy to find and was very well kept.I can not say this enough about how nice we were treated. This is a family run operation and it shows that they care. Machines were in excellent shape and ran good. Owner explained all the previous damage to us one by one and we signed off on it. So we would not be responsible for said damage only new damage.The owner gave very good instructions on what to go see and the views were excellent. I plan on going back because there is just not enough time to see everything in one day.

Amazing place run by truly awesome people. You can’t visit Pitkin without stopping at the Plume! If not to just top off your gas, at least take a seat on the porch and have a good conversation. The Nasso’s are genuinely good people and are a great example of the Pitkin community.

Visited the small mountain pass town of Pitkin, CO last year with some friends and had a great time! Everyone was very nice and helpful and reminded me of the small town hospitality I find in Texas. The scenery was gorgeous and the mountain views go for miles. We rented some Polaris RZRs from the store and took them out two days on the trails and really got to escape from the city life and enjoy the Colorado nature. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We had a great time in Pitkin! Every person at the store was friendly and helpful and made us feel at home! Cory was great with the RZR rentals from beginning to end! The grill had great food and great service! Definitely recommend and would go again!

Fantastic setup. Very friendly folks, fair pricing, and an amazing experience. We booked a Polaris RZR for a 9-hour exploration of Gunnison Co. It was worth every penny. Fantastic sights and a great machine. Clean, well maintained and very user friendly. We will definitely return for more exploration.

Recently my family and I spent 4th of July in Almont very near Crested Butte. It is absolutely beautiful country in that area and we wanted to do some exploring off the main roads. Months before our vacation I started calling around to local ATV rental spots. Most places would not even return my calls and the ones that did were asking a crazy amount of money to just rent the ATV for a few hours. I came across ATV rentals at the Silver Plume General Store and after quick email and response from Cory, we were set!We rented a 4 seater as we have two young kids and neither my husband nor I were very experienced with driving ATVs. Let me first say, the ATV itself was in great shape. Right away we could tell that Silver Plume takes care of their vehicles. Cory gave us a full run down of the ATV, safety tips and recommendations on trails.We spent the whole day in the Gunnison and San Isabel National Forests. The scenery did not disappoint. Late in the afternoon, unfortunately we ran into a mechanical issue (user error) and had to use the GPS call for help system. Cory and his team responded and came to help us out very quickly. Once back on the trail, we finished our day exploring with smiles from the whole family.We are definitely doing this again and 100% renting for Silver Plume General Store.

We love everything about the Silver Plume! Top notch service, RZR rentals and cool stuff in the store. The ONLY thing I wish they had was better Pitkin shirts for little kids, but I know those can be hard to find/make/design. We will be back next summer without a doubt!

We took advantage of everything the Silver Plume had to offer. Amazing room and cleanliness, all needs met at the General Store, and ATV Rental was icing on the cake. The Nasso Family takes complete ownership of you. Your happiness is their happiness. What servant hearts these folks have. I wish everyone could experience Pitkin, CO the way my family does at the Silver Plume.

We love this place! The family-owned business is truly an experience! The store is fun and the merchandise is great, lots of choices. The rentals are in perfect condition... and clean. Cory is a concerned, conscientious man who values customer satisfaction.You will not be disappointed in this exoerience. Get great souvenirs, exceptional rental UTV's, the best barbecue around. (All if the menu is awesone.) 5 stars for this place!

These folks are life savers literally. Once we had a rider with altitude sickness and they had oxygen at the store. Another time friend had a flat tire on his motorcycle and I will be darned I'd they had the right tube. The folks that run it are very nice too.

I would highly recommend Silver Plume Rentals for your trip to Taylor Valley and Gunnison National Forest. This was only my second time renting an ATV in Colorado but by far the best out of both experiences. I rented from a different place in 2012 and let me say the experience was night and day.The unit I used from Silver Plume was a RZR 900 4-seater and was in excellent condition and ran wonderfully for the 200+ miles of trail we drove. I was very impressed with the condition of all the rentals that were at the store. They do a great job of keeping the vehicles clean and well maintained.Upon arrival, Cory had the vehicle ready and took pictures of the unit prior to my departure to ensure a full inspection. His orientation was spot on so that I understood his expectation on what I would be held accountable for in the event damage caused to the vehicle during riding. This is good to know because the last place tried to charge me $125 for pre-existing dings that were minor.The most impressive part of the rental was the GPS locator. I believe this sets Silver Plume apart from the competition and is added security for both emergency and damage. I have not seen this before with any rental and have heard horror stories of people getting stranded because of a downed ATV. This feature alone is worth using Silver Plume. A breakdown is always a possibility in Gunnison and chances are there will be no cell phone signal at the location.Overall, the entire experience was great, smooth, and painless from check-out to check-in. Silver Plume is a great place to rent from and very reasonably priced compared to other rental places. The store has great prices on souvenirs for your trip. The restaurant has great food if you need a quick lunch or a late dinner.Silver Plume is the place you should rent from if riding in Taylor Valley or the surrounding area.

This is the one stop shop for Pitkin. Loved the location and selection of necessities. Unique. You can rent ATV/UTVs here for use in the bordering national forest. Very friendly staff and community.
