Our trip to the electric mountain lodge was amazing. Not only did they open up early for us even when they weren’t officially open until after the holidays, They accommodated us with no need to cancel our reservation, and went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of from the time we arrived to the time we left. The cabin was so cute and comfortable. It was perfect for a snow getaway. And the food was amazing. Not only did they cater to us and our dietary needs but also made sure it was to our liking. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and very supportive throughout our long journey to the lodge, and made sure that we enjoyed ourselves every step of the way. They also allowed our dogs to attend with us and made our trip even more amazing for us since we were able to share it with our furry family. The winter sports experience with our absolute favorite, taking out snowmobile’s on the trails during the middle of a snowstorm was an amazing experience, and we appreciate everyone making that happen just for us. I would totally recommend this lodge and this company to anyone who wants a weekend getaway or even a longer stay in Colorado. Thank you Scott and team for being an accommodating, gracious host to us! We will definitely be returning!!

Had a blast staying at the lodge. Scott and his entire crew treat everyone like family and they really know how to make it an awesome experience! I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a getaway or loves being connected with nature in the best ways. The food is top tier and they make excellent drinks! Everything has been remodeled and looks amazing! The snowmobiles are an awesome experience as well! 10/10

Wow, what a fun experience getting to come up and stay at this remote lodge. Scott and his team are so attentive and hospitable, and the food was so so good. And if you haven’t gone snowmobiling before, make a point to go while you’re here. It’s such a fun adventure and the scenery in the area is just gorgeous. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back to experience the summer!Rooms: We had one of their cabins with a lovely king size bed with soft sheets, modern updates, and great views. We were attached to 3 other rooms and couldn’t hear the other travelers at all. Also as a side note, the bathroom and showers are great, wonderful water pressure not a sad, leaky shower head.Nearby activities: In the snowy seasons they have snowmobile rentals! You can do excursions for 3 hours (half day) or 8 hours (full day), and they have gear in case you don’t have your own. Scott’s got plans for the summer and we can’t wait to come back up to see what he does!Safety: As a female who travels solo a fair amount, I’m highly aware of how I’d feel if I was alone even when I’m traveling with others. And let me tell you, I could easily stay here by myself without any fears. The team is so welcoming and inviting, caring and hospitable. I would absolutely do I solo retreat here, they have systems in place for your safety and even being as remote as it is I’m not worried at all about what to do in an emergency. I know the team would be on top of taking care of it.Food & drinks: Chef Alex is a wizard in the kitchen. If he’s got a moment, chat with him about food. And get the rotating steak cut, because god damn was it delicious.

Shared a 10 person cabin we won in a contest. It was a great getaway. They took us up on snowmobiles. The ride was great. The bar and restaurant are top notch. It was the perfect mini vacation. The staff made it a trip to remember. You should try it. Thanks, HarryRooms: Our cabin was just what we need, Clean and warm.

My group and I had a blast of a weekend -- EML is a perfect, remoteish getaway with great amenities. The cabins are clean and quite cozy. EML is near quite a few open fields and stunning views-- perfect to sled around in and explore. The main lodge is also cozy with great food and amicable staff. Maybel, Amanda, Mercedes, and Alex were all so great, had a truly perfect weekend there and cannot wait to go back! A must visit if you are a snowmobiler / anyone that loves connecting with nature and being off the grid.Rooms: The rooms were clean, had comfy beds and had the ability to have temperature regulated to whatever comfort level needed.Food & drinks: Great dinner and breakfast and drinks! Alex is such a fantastic chef!

I just saw a video that reminded me of a MOST excellent time that my wife and i had at Electric Mountain Lodge nearly 30 years ago, before the time of smart phones and instant reviews so please forgive me if this review is of a time long ago ...we had reservations at EML and rented one sled in Paonia. The sled owner asked if we knew how to ride a snowmobile. I had only been on the back of one and my wife had never ridden. Since a major snowstorm was just beginning the sled owner wisely decided to lead us up the 18 miles or so to ELM. That evening the snowstorm dumped 5 feet of fresh powder on God's creation. But we were happily the only guests to be staying with the Lodge owners originally from Louisiana. The next day there was so much snow on the roof that the LA family got on the roof to shovel some of the weight off. My wife and i had no intention of venturing out alone on a sled that I only had 18 miles of experience on so we pitched in with roof snow removal. The owner was so appreciative of our help that he told us that the following day he would personally give us a tour of the area on sleds and provide my wife with her own sled. What an ABSOLUTE BLAST!! The fresh snow was so deep that you could only stop on a previous made snow track otherwise you'd sink 3 feet and be stuck. After a couple hours my wife was exhausted from multiple dig outs so she wanted to go back to the lodge. The owner, whose name i forget, asked me if I wanted to continue riding....OH boy, what an unforgettable fun and beautiful ride that he led me on across the many playfields and trails surrounding Electric Mountain Lodge!! And the day of our departure his wife led us back down the mountain back to the trailhead. Our time at Electric Mountain Lodge is what dreams are made of.

Certainly some growing pains but cheering for these guys to succeed. Wish Luke D was back for the seasons but the new Chef has a bomb jalapeño candy chicken recipe and others. Wish they were open all day Sunday for football but still getting their feet under them. The new design and remodel is as good as what you would expect for the time it took. Went 4 times since they were open, excited to come back next September.

Staff was lacking experience in customer service and communication. Not all our rooms were stocked with toilet paper. Had coffee mugs but no maker in a few rooms. Beautiful area but they need to work on services and taking care of clients. Bar/lounge was not open until late. No table in our room to sit around while waiting for the bar to open at 7pm. Internet service was better than past visits.

My husband and I hosted our wedding at the Electric Mountain Lodge, and I couldn't be happier with the way it went! The location is remote, but absolutely stunning. The amenities are enough to keep a large group well fed, well rested, and highly entertained. Most of all the chef is amazing! Fresh and local ingredients (veggies, fruit, meat, alcohol!) Overall, I found the staff to be helpful and patient. The deluxe rooms were my favorite- comfortable beds, impeccably clean, and adorable mountain décor.

I want to start this review by saying it is the best stay, I have had anywhere!Safety: The resort is top-notch about providing every single detail you could possibly need. They custom fit you for every single piece of gear you could need for every rental. You are custom fitted for every piece of gear you could deed for any rental provided on site.Walkability: One minute walk from your cabin to the best food and drinks you will ever have!!!Food & drinks: I have had everything from Mojitos to mixed drinks to mead! (Ask about the special bourbon) every meal was crafted to our party, I cannot rave enough about the service! Shout out Mabel! Also, the chef made every meal custom to our party as well as checking on us while we dined on a custom menu, I have truly never had such an amazing experience with food and beverage between the service and the level of culinary excellence. I will be back.Noteworthy details: It is a completely bespoke experience. Our experience started from Scott welcoming us to our start of the journey up to our cabin, I cannot even begin to describe how amazing my stay was..After parking or snowmobiles out front of our private cabin, we were welcomed into The second break bar and grill let me tell you that is what made the experience! The food and drinks there are amazing! From the start of the experience until the end, The experience was flawless and perfect, and I could not recommend it enough. The ladies and gentlemen, that work at the electric Mountain Lodge, are one of the best bespoke experiences I have ever had!

Very friendly, fun, and informative staff, great food, beautiful quiet setting, views of the Milky Way (without the full moon!). The chef uses only top quality ingredients from a Paonia organic farm; simply delicious. While there, we had several large mule deer right outside our cabin early in the morning. Enjoyed the fire pit while drinking wine and watching the stars. A perfect escape to the real world. A special thank you to Marcus, Josh, and Colby for making our stay a memorable time.

As a Colorado native with a passion for exploring nature's playground, I've been to many remote Colorado destinations throughout my life, but this mountain hideaway has it all, both in hospitality and in beauty. The Electric Mountain Lodge team were all amazing... polite, knowledgeable, hospitable and an added bonus- also very talented...thank you Josh and Ricky for your lovely after dinner guitar solos and live music. The food was great and the rooms were very clean.

Went here recently for our honeymoon and everyone was so so nice making our stay even better, I love the atmosphere, food is expensive but so freaking good. They even took us on their side by side and showed us the spring and all the trails to go and lakes to fish at. Had a blast when we rented a side by side and went fishing and relaxed in the hot tub, dried off in the sauna and then played pool, foosball and darts and even watched movies on the big screen in their game room. I love that the game room is open 24/7 because we are night owls working night shift. Overall had a great stay and had a blast.

I’ve been hearing about a Electric Mountain Lodge for years from a friend of mine who is an avid snowmobile rider. I took my son up there for his 16th birthday and we were welcomed with 3 feet of snow within 48 hours. Snowmobiling was epic! And I can’t say enough good things about the lodge and it’s staff. Everybody was friendly and they bent over backwards to make sure that we had a memorable time. The food was excellent! I highly recommend the electric mountain skillet for breakfast.

The food and service were fantastic! New staff is amazing. Our previous visit wasn't so pleasant with the manager, Luke, yelling at the staff. He was very chummy with his friends drinking free at the bar but snubbed the actual paying guests. Many people in town had stopped patronizing the Electric Mountain Lodge.

This place was amazing! This year’s snowmobile trip we decided to try this place as something new and it did not disappoint. The scenery was beautiful, great place to eat and hang out in the game room. The service was amazing. The staff continually went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and taken care of. We will definitely be back.

It's the only place you're going to get Wi-Fi for hours in any direction. The food is generally awesome.I have not stayed here so I cannot comment on the rooms, but it is nice to visit when you are camping in that area.My wife's family had a gathering there when one of their family members passed away and the employees there were very accommodating. We will continue to come back!

A beautiful unique getaway experience. My wife and I went up for a day trip (with lunch) on February 25, and had a wonderful time. In the morning we drove to the Forest Service parking lot (trail head) and met the snowcat provided by the lodge at 10:30a. After being welcomed by the lodge's driver, we were driven up the snow covered road through the forest with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains for about an hour before reaching the lodge. What a comfortable and beautiful snow cat ride! All the lodge staff were very welcoming and attentive. While my wife read a book in front of the crackling fireplace in the great room, I went cross country skiing with a high quality ski set provided by the lodge, on the lodge's groomed trail. After skiing, we enjoyed a delicious lunch, from an interesting menu that included locally sourced and vegetarian options. The food service was right on. Great draft beer too! I had a local brewed IPA.After lunch, we had a blast snow tubing in front of the lodge. They have the best tubing track -- it is fast with a curved and banked track. No need for steering. Not crowded at all. Just a couple of kids having the time of their lives. Just jump on a tube supplied by the lodge, hang on and enjoy the thrill!Regretted to leave in late afternoon, but my wife enjoyed the snow cat ride while I XC skied most of the way back (all downhill). All in all, we had a great experience and highly recommend this day trip getaway to everyone. Next time we will stay for more days.

Place has gone to hell since Luke and Alicia were fired two years ago. Worst decision ever by the owners. Had a group of "managers" that hated snowmobiles and dirt bikes, and wanted the place to be a yoga retreat that didn't believe in chemicals in a public hot tub. I've never seen such yellow stenchy water. Then they hired someone that is no longer there after 4 months. Went in for lunch a month ago. Sat at a table, place was full - had two people working. How about grilling burgers outside so you can serve people? We weren't even acknowledged for 15 minutes. We all left. Place has become a disaster again. No service, upkeep, etc. No wonder it's for sale again. Just shut it down.

Went for a wedding. Amazing venue spot, nice open areas, staff was wonderful and helpful. They make the most amazing hand pressed hamburgers ever! I have stay, they literally were the best, and I would drive the 2 hours from my home to have another.
