I’ve been here a few times and always love it. Relaxed, neat atmosphere. Outside seating is awesome when it’s nice out. Love the cats that roam. I haven’t tried many of their sweet/fruit wines but their dry wines are great.

Came here on the way back into town. Stopped and were greeted by very friendly staff. Very good selection of wine. I recommend it if you're in the area. They have cats here that are very friendly and if you have a dog that is good around cats the cats like dogs as well.

Loved the cats, atmosphere, and wine. Out door patio is very nice with good views. Visited there to watch the solar eclipse with friends. The staff is super nice.

Great view and place to kick back and drink wine. They have 3 or 4 flights to choose from or you can build your own. Really liked the blushes and the Sweet Red. Pet friendly space as long as your pet is ok with cats. Beautiful scenery on the ride here.

The best wines in Palisade, especially on a hot day. I wanted a bottle of every single wine I tried. I left for other wineries and came right back to Carlson later in the day because nothing else could compare. I was also in love with their two cats, one of which is named “Gunny” (as in Gunnison) and loves scritches. What’s not to adore about this place?

Really great vineyard with great wines. We tasted a bunch of different wines. The staff were super friendly and the store is really nicely set up. Their wines are very reasonably priced. The vineyard is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the mountains. Definitely worth a visit.

Wine was great and the atmosphere pleasing. Fall colors surrounded us out in the sipping yard making for a great experience. Amanda was very pleasant and courteous, especially since we showed up toward the end of the day. She sets the stage for what a winery should be like. Not pretentious, just enjoyable. Rest of the staff were nice as well. We'll definitely return.

Love, Love, LOVED this vineyard!!! Staff was very accommodating, even when the wind kicked up and blew my glass over, she brought me another taste. That taste ended up the bottle I bought to bring home with me. Thank you Carlson Vineyard Winery🍷Give Hank some loves from me 😘

We went out to the wineries this past holiday weekend for my friend’s bachelorette party, and this was hands down everyone’s favorite out of our group of six! They have a charming patio with a grassy area that overlooks the vineyards, creating a beautiful atmosphere to relax in, with a decent amount of shade too!The wine was delicious with a wide variety of types ranging from dry to sweet—the peach wine was also a group fav! The best part about this winery is their resident cats, which might stroll on by while you’re enjoying your wine. We met Hank, and also the new kitten Willow, which the waitress brought out from inside for us to meet. The owner and staff could not have been nicer, and many stopped by our table to say congratulations to my friend. Next time I’m in Palisade, I could easily just spend the whole day here!

SWEET BAY RED, I think I love you! Fantastic sweet wine. Blackberry, raspberry jam, cherry, hint of cinnamon... All wrapped up in a fantastic 100% Colorado western slope wine. Enjoyed out on the lawn behind their sweet little winery. Highly recommended!!!

We weren't sure what to expect based on the image from the road as you drive by but this place was AWESOME.The wine was good, the patio was gorgeous, we brought a picnic and got some snacks from their store. It was a great place to do a self paced tasting. We enjoyed the garden for a little extra since we had a shady spot and it was hot out. Really great family run operation!

It's a little out of the way, but most wineries are. The staff are friendly and the wine tastes good. A nice variety of sweet, semisweet and dry. One of the few wineries that produce good quality of all types.

In my opinion, Carlson is one of the best wineries in the valley. They have an amazing variety of wines. The tasting are well organized and relaxed. If you are wanting to just enjoy your day, buy a bottle and retreat to the lovely outdoor seating area and enjoy the scenery. Be sure to ask about their wine club.

We visited Carlson during the Barrel Into Spring event, and we had the most amazing time with these wonderful people! The wines were diverse and delicious, and several of them were made specifically to raise funds for nonprofit causes. The staff, wine maker, and owner are approachable and kind. This was truly a wonderful winery to visit! We'll definitely be back!

Let me start with their wine still taste as delicious as always… when we finally got our correct flight. However after visiting the winery, this August 2023 I was very disappointed and very concerned about the lack of attention paid to the wine seating area with multiple trees with multiple dead limbs, one tree having a large dead limb that had already broken off and was being held up by the other tree limbs. This is very dangerous to the patrons. Each seating area was not well groomed either. Some seats were right under some of these dead limbs. Other seating areas were uneven and the tables were rocking causing the drinks to top over easily. Moving forward I will be buying my wine at a liquor store and bypassing the winery-too scary for me.

Beautiful ambiance with outside seating. Wine was great as well, I really loved the semi sweet peach wine. The people were also just kind and awesome right away, loved how friendly and laid back it was at the same time. 2 cute kitties keeping guard loved it! Definitely come make the stop if in grand junction/palisadeEdit: came back and still loved it. A lot of the vineyards make a big point to say they don't do sweet wines, but Carlson makes some amazing sweeter wine I was happy for a change up. Awesome experience again and would recommend it still!

Loved this winery. The Dry Red and Cherry are spectacular. The semi-sweets are complex, interesting, and perfectly crisp for a summer afternoon on the deck.

We had a WONDERFUL time tasting Carlson Vineyards’ delicious wines yesterday. It was so enjoyable to be served wines by Bryce, who was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Carlson Vineyards’ wines — and equally knowledgeable about wines in general.Since both of us are rank amateurs regarding wines, it was great for us to have Bryce very happily share all of his impressive wine knowledge with us in a very easy-to-understand and “down to earth” way.We really appreciated Bryce’s great passion for Carlson Vineyards’ wines and for his devotion to this excellent winery. Bryce was so friendly and easy going and his great personality made our wine tasting experience very special. We’re definitely greatly looking forward to tasting great wines again at Carlson Vineyards Winery this coming spring!
