I LOVE this store. First they're staffed so they must be doing something right. Met shortly after entering and basically had a personal shopper until we had everything we came for. Very friendly and encouraged us to bring our new puppy with us next time so they can meet her. HUGE selection of everything. You need to check it out.

I went here with my friend to get his tiny dog's nails trimmed. After it was over, he raved about the groomer. He said she was super nice and did a good job.While the nail trim was happening, I looked around the store. I was looking for a particular brand of dog food pouches, but they didn't have it. However, they did have a huge selection of natural/healthy dog food. (I guess no one store can carry everything.) They also carry cat food and supplies like leashes and harnesses.I was surprised a town as small as Pagosa Springs has such a large pet supply store with such variety. Good for you, Chow Down!

We were in Pagosa on vacation looking to go XC skiing with our two Berners, unfortunately the ice was hard on both their paws the first day and Mushers Secret wasn't giving them enough protection. We rushed to find a pet store that had booties in their size and came across Chow Down Pet Supplies. They had a massive stock of Ruffwear booties which were exactly what we were looking for.We never got the name of the woman who helped us but she was awesome. Great service with getting the right fit for our two dogs. Made sure we were 100% happy before we moved forward with our purchase. Also told us if the booties didn't fit quite right we could bring them back no problem. We left really happy and we were able to enjoy the rest of our trip worry free!

The sales lady, I presume was the proprietor, was very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing appropriate chews. Protein stocks, bully sticks an NO RAWHIDE chews! My little dachshund loves them❤️

This is a really nice shop with a lot of nice products and very nice people who have lots of excuses as to why they can't dependably keep consistent supplies in stock. If the product is there when you go in...great. Don't expect to be able to go back in a week later and purchase the same item. It won't necessarily be there. I really wanted to like this place more than I do.

First time there was a lovely experience. I went in and saw an attendant with big fashion glasses and even though I tried to connect and make eye contact, she ignored me several times until I questioned myself to check if she even worked there. She did! But who wants to interact with a cocky person anyway?I finally saw a sweet face at the register talking so nicely to another customer and went with her instead. Her name is Alissa and she’s the best! She treated my Latin self and my gorgeous little one with such kindness.We got multi vitamins for our two dogs and some doggie cookies.We are going back today again to buy our first big bag of dog food there thanks to Alissa. Thank you ❤️

Absolutely the best place to buy pet supplies. They have everything, and the customer service is top notch. I recently adopted a chihuahua puppy, and they gave me food samples until we found my picky eater the right food. I have him on Tucker's raw diet, and he loves it!! A lot of big chain stores don't even carry that dog food.

I went in during the weekend to find Chow Down in Pagosa had expanded. What a great sight! I used to regularly shop there more than a year ago when it was a tiny store. Chow Down has a wide variety of pet food, treats and supplies. My dog LOVES their single-ingredient elk and deer treats. All of their staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

What a high quality experience! Chow Down has everything you need from top notch customer service to healthy and wholesome products. They carry great brands for the fur babies! Everything we have gotten from the store the animals have enjoyed. It's great to know you can trust everything this company stocks on its shelf. What great prices as well! The groomer lady there is so rude!! Made us super uncomfortable. Will never take my dog there again. She did a horrible job with my dogs haircut and she’s not friendly at all. extremely rude.

Always buy my dogs food here. They have a variety of great quality brands. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Just got my golden retriever pup groomed here and Shay is awesome! She did an amazing job and really made my dog happy and comfortable with all aspects of the grooming session! My dog loved her! Definitely will be coming regularly!

They had every kind of nautual dog treat you could imagine great training treats for my new puppy, every size bully stick you would need, and adorable clothes and coats but unfortunately none in my dogs size. I have gone back to them several times they are knowledgeable and eager to help you I love this store my Gizmo is off the leash all the time and everyone just says hi and goes on about their day, no fuss and no snobbs here good solid store!!!

I'm a little biased on this one since my daughter is the groomer here but she has been popular before I moved to Pagosa. The owners are very wonderful people along with their employees. Lot's of different pet foods to choose from and you can bring your pet's her to bath them yourself and now that they have expanded there is even more choices for your pets needs.

Great store with great service! I bought 3 no bark collars from Chow Down to see which ones worked best. 2 of the 3 I was not happy with and Chow Down allowed me to return the 2 I was not happy with, with no questions asked!

Stopped in to inquire about a dog bathing area. $10.00 for the first half hour additional time $5.00 per half hour. It was in a very small room where you have to lift a dog in the bath. My dog is 65 pounds. I can't do that. Staff was very friendly. My first impression of the store was that it was a very small store that is very crowded with merchandise.
