I pick up fruit flies for my frogs every couple of weeks with my toddler. I also pick up bits here and there for my frog tanks, like moss and branches. Every time we go in we do a lap around the store first to say hi to all the animals, who are all in clean tanks and look well fed! Whenever the employees are holding an animal they will ask if we want to see up close (the two year old LOVES this!) and I think its really sweet! We're always treated well by people who look like they love what they're doing. We'll keep going back for as long as we have frogs to feed!

I went to a reptile expo in denver recently and bought from 5280 reptile room. I found the cutest pac man frog ever. Sadly my little friend passed away only having him for not even a week. All these people cared about is selling us unnecessary stuff. We did nothing wrong and I bought everything they said he would need. I believe he was sick and these people only sold us this frog so they can get my money. I am very frustrated about this, do not buy animals from these people.

We bought our Axolotl from this store. And we were extremely happy with our purchase we had axel for less then two months. We bought a set of earthworms from them as we normally do unfortunately we got a bad batch of worm which they replaced with unfortunately another bad batch. Jen looked at the worms with me and they were not in the best shape. I asked if they would be okay to give to axel I was told it should be. I took them home and gave one to axel and the next morning he was dead. I called Jen immediately about what had happened she was going to talk to Travis her manager. I had to call for three weeks. I talked to Travis yesterday and instead of him telling me that there was nothing he could do about the situation. He put it on Jen for her to tell me today that there was nothing they could do and that Travis didn’t think it was the worms that killed axel. Here’s the pictures of axle the day before we gave him the bad worms. Thank you Travis for not even owning up to the issue when all we wanted was a simple apology. Jen was the only one who made any attempt at making my daughter feel better about this situation.

Love this store! Their selection was amazing! Everything you could ever need or want for your critter. The selection of reptiles and invertebrates was Phenomenal! Jen was an absolute savior! She helped me rehouse a spider. Showed me exactly what I needed, showed me what would make it better. AND… on top of that, actually moved the spider for me! This shop will be top on my list for sure for spider needs and future reptile purchases! Thank you Jen for all you help!

Great place to shop at for sure! I have never had a bad experience here! I live in Longmont and drive to them all the time because of the experience that we have had with them! We have purchased three ball pythons from them and they are healthy and doing great!

Got charged $50 for 300 crickets today. Not sure if the guy was new or not, but everyone was mostly pre-occupied trying to prep for reptile show this weekend. Never really had an issue here, but that was pretty steep on pricing for crickets. Generally they give us a little extra and leave paying $20-$30.

Couldn’t be happier with the experience I had at the 5280 Reptile Room. I bought a normal boa that was 100% Het for Albino. This is my first boa and the gentleman who helped me was super cool. I’ll be back here for my next snake guaranteed.

Bought two poison dart frogs from here. I also get my flightless fruit flies here. I walk in, and the girl with the pink hair is usually there and is usually the one to get me my container of fruit flies. She's always nice and punches my card to work towards a free one. I never spend much time there, but the staff has always been friendly.

Do not trust these people! They sold me a gravid snake that was too young to be bred. She passed away because her body could not handle the 23 eggs she was carrying. They have deflected all blame and refuse to even reimburse me. I’m so devastated over the loss of my little girl and the owner was callus to me grief. She was beautiful and now she is gone forever due to their negligence. NEVER BUY FROM THEM!

5280 always has what my reptiles need! They somehow always have feeders (even when Petsmart is out) and their selection of animals is impressive as well.The thing I appreciate most, though, is their commitment to their animals' welfare. Every time I've been in, the cages are clean and the animals look very healthy. Over the past two years I've purchased two day geckos and a dumeril's boa from this store and all three are doing great!I work with reptiles professionally and will continue to recommend this store to anyone who mentions that they are looking for pets or supplies.Bonus pics of my chunky day geckos.

I've been going to both 5280 locations as long as I've lived in Colorado. I was extremely excited for the north location's opening as it is closer to where I live than the west location. The north location is huge, is always well stocked, and has a variety of reptiles, amphibians, and inverts for viewing and sale. My husband and I enjoy talking with all the employees and the owners as they are all knowledgeable about their animals. Only downside is I don't have enough money or space for more animals right now! We have bought most of our collection from 5280 Reptile Room, and have even sold some of our babies to the store. Mike, the owner, has even found some animals at special request for us. I will always recommend them to anyone looking to get into reptiles, amphibians, or inverts, or just looking to add more animals to their collections.

I love this store! When I lived in CO it was the only store I would go to. Now I live in NC and came back to CO it visit. I shipped a salamander, millipedes, and isopods and they all are healthy and back home in NC! This is the only reptile store I will purchase my animals from! The staff is super helpful and very personable as well!
