Tim Wise did an absolutely marvelous refinish and restore of Great Granny’s dresser, and I couldn’t be more pleased with his work! His knowledge of his craft and attention to detail made for a superb outcome. This piece probably didn’t look as good as it does today on the day my Gran brought it home… Highly recommended for any of your precious antiques that need a touch up!

My husband and I first discovered Wise Buys 32 years ago when we purchased a lovely antique dining set. Tim dismantled every chair down to the individual spindles, dipped and stained them, re-caned the seats and created 5 new inserts for the large oak dining table. The craftsmanship was impeccable and this is still a showcase piece in our home. Over the years whether we purchased an additional antique at Wise Buys or found something on the road, we return to Tim for refurbishing the item to its initial state. Can’t say enough about Tim as a person and he is a master of the trade. We have always recommended friends searching for antiques to Wise Buys. Great shop, great people!

Wise Buys is my favorite antique store anywhere. I travel a lot and go into antique stores all over and Wise Buys really stands out. The glassware is fabulous, with hundreds of choices. I especially love the light catchers in the window. The couple that owns the place are friendly and helpful. I have bought numerous items from them from tables to earrings to church pews and have always been thrilled with my new to me purchases! Love these Wise guys!!

This shop is extraordinary. The antiques are very authentic and gorgeous and the shop is packed to the gills with amazing finds where I wanted to buy everything. There were some stunning curio cabinets, unique mirrors and even and old time stove as well as some super cool old time typewriters. There was Spode dishes and a huge collection of to die for salt & pepper shakers. It was my first visit & I will for sure be back. I have never seen a better antique shop.

A nice little spot, packed with unique antique items. An exceptional variety and amount of glassware - this is the place to go if you need a few more wine, martini, or margarita glasses. A lot of nice antique furniture with a large selection of oak chairs

Buyer beware! The store is wonderful, and the husband seemed to know what he was doing. The woman was a horrible person who ripped me off without a second thought.I brought her antiques of mine to buy, and she pillaged what I had. Don’t give her the business. A true thief fronting as an antique store owner.

A treasure of a store, full of more treasures. It is the single BEST place for Christmas shopping. If you like cool meaningful things that have a history, this is the store for you. Also the owners are great, helpful, funny making the whole experience great.

Paid $50 for vaseline glass here. The plate was labeled explicitly Vaseline glass and got home to utah to find out it was fake and not Vaseline. Make sure you check your glass with a black light. Very disappointing especially from a antique store.

We had an old antique stove that we needed to find a new home for. Tim was amazing. He couldn't use the stove himself, but searched around to find someone who could. After making several calls to individuals he knew, he found someone in Pagosa Springs who drove all the way to Longmont to pick it up! Getting nothing for himself, Tim went way above and beyond to help us, both calling and emailing frequently to be sure everything went smoothly. What an amazing example of true customer service - serving people who weren't even "customers" but just helping us. We are truly grateful!

Very Rude!!! I would not shop here nor do business here again. I went in to this store asking for help on some estate items from my grandparents estate that are beautiful antiques from the east coast that I was hoping to possibly sell to this store. I got no further than the first item when the woman interrupted my conversation with the first salesman and said that she would help me and then instead of helping me, proceeded to ignore me and helped another customer who walked in after me. When I asked if we could finish she told me to look my item up online. I told her that I had another question she told me they were too busy even though that question was regarding their repair business. Who knows if she had actually been polite I would have brought in the items for this estate, possibly used them for repairs or even stayed a little longer and shopped for myself. Guess they will never know.
