Tin Shed is the best bike shop in the world! Truthfully, these guys are the absolute best. Everyone who works there is helpful, friendly, and 100% experts in their craft. They have saved the day for us so many times with fixes on our bikes, and I know they do the same for other bikers and skiers too, every single day. They take the time to do a great job, with incredible attention to detail and a plethora of advice to help you learn what they're doing to fix your setup too. I couldn't possibly more highly recommend Tin Shed. There is truly no better shop you could find!!

Been going here for years and they have always been helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and always get things done quickly. Highly recommend them even if you have to drive a while to get there. The service and attention to detail are worth it. Prices are always fair and reasonable. These guys are awesome! Could not give a higher recommendation. They should win an award or something if not already. And if they did win an award then give another one.

The guys at Tin Shed are very helpful. I needed to rent a pair of flat pedals, and they provided a pair for $10/day. They were also generous with advice about the local mtb trails.

Love these guys! They do everything right... fast, fair, and fun. They know SO MUCH about biking and skiing, which is great for newbies like me, but most of all... everyone is SUPER friendly, helpful, and generous with their time.In a state where there are so many pro athletes and stars, you can sometimes get some major attitude in the local shops, but not these guys... they are down to earth and its an A+ customer experience every time.I live in Nederland, so Tin Shed is my local shop, but if I lived in Boulder... I'd be driving up the mountain for these guys.Great shop, great people... highly recommended.

Our first trip to ski Eldora landed us in quaint Nederland and chose to rent our gear from the locals at Tin Shed. Awesome experience and equipment! Luckily we arrived early mid-week without reservations but were in and out quickly and on our way to the slopes. Sure beat standing in line at the resort to rent! Highly recommend if you're planning a trip to the area and need rentals!

I went in to Tin Shed to get some advice on Backcountry ski gear, and Steve was so helpful. I ended up buying skis at a great price, and bindings and skins. Thanks for the excellent service! This is a gem of a shop in an awesome town.

Ride savers! I was midway through a trek from Boulder to Winter Park with plans to go over Rollins Pass and had just made it up Flagstaff with a bent derailleur hanger and only half working gears. Figured I would have the Tin Shed guys check it out. Working in the bike industry (though I'm not a mechanic) I do understand how busy shops can get with walk-in service on the weekend and have no expectations of a quick turnaround, especially with the current labor shortage. These guys took it on the spot on a busy Saturday, and within 15 minutes had my hanger working as best as it realistically could and on my way, and they were up front about it needing a replacement. Only a small labor charge too. Highly recommended.

Wow! A throwback to better times. These folks are completely awesome, and beyond. I brought in my two “museum quality” (but hurting) mountain bikes and was blown away by the bang for the buck at this shop. Please don’t go down the mountain…Give these fine mechanics a chance to put a smile on your face. 👍⚡️

Extended my stay while on biz. These guys are solid, hooked me up with a fantastic Rocky Mountain Instinct that climbed like a b goat and rocked all terrain. Bike was tuned to perfection.

I met Karina (sp?) on Sunday during the Buff Classic Ride. What a great person and great place!! I loved our stop there and was impressed by the service and selection. It's a great place....coffee and a bike shop! They were very accommodating to my friend who needed a jacket on the fly. Thanks again and look forward to stopping in when I'm in Ned.

Super friendly and helpful! Stoped in before Ned Gravel to buy a chain and the folks here were awesome. Plus there's a cute dog who provided moral support while I swapped the chain

Single greatest Bike Shop in Nederland. Friendly staff that's uplifting and supportive. Bike shops can be intimidating and elitist and this shop is definitely not that. Rad folks who want people to ride bikes and enjoy themselves while being stewards of the great outdoors. Recommend for everyone.

These guys are awesome. Lent us straps with our fat bike rental to help us mount them on the car. Great prices, super friendly. Rent here instead of Boulder for a better deal.

This shop is awesome. Steve hooked it up today. I realized when I got to Eldora that I forgot my goggles and didn’t want to spend a ton at the resort so I found this place in nearby Nederland. Steve helped me find a sweet pair of goggles without the high price tag that comes at the resort. And I didn’t miss out on a powder day! Definitely come here.

I went to the Tin Shed with a bent cassette cog and they were able to order me a new cassette for a fair price. They also bent the cog back well enough to keep me on the trail until the new cassette arrived. Appreciated the good service as well as the makeshift repair.

Quality customer service!!!!!! They really went above and beyond. We had a great day that started with their lavender cappuccino and breakfast sandwich and then fun on the fat bike in the snow. Rode right out of the bike shop to the Magnolia Trails area. Thanks Guys.

I live in Ned and I'm a casual rider. I don't know that much about bikes, but I've come to count on Steve to jump in to apply his knowledge and wisdom for some impromptu coaching of my boy.My son, who is 11, is hooked on mountain biking and not just in an idealistic way. He rode West Mag 6+ hours per day, multiple days a week this summer and has taken skills courses to learn how to handle his bike on a trail. And he practiced those skills. When he couldn't do a rear hop, he was filming himself until late at night trying to figure it out.But he's 11 and he beats his bikes mercilessly, as we all did.We walk into Tin Shed with his nearly dead bike (it's a Specialized hard tail bike that was solid, but not impervious, and served him well in two years of SMBA) and wanted me to ask about a full suspension bike. Now there was no way I would spend $2k for a decent one and I didn't have to prompt Steve at all to turn this into a teaching moment for my son, or for me, and he nailed it.Steve told my son about how he wasn't ready for that kind of bike or anything that Tin Shed could provide until he could show that he had the skill and maturity to not be so hard on it and that, with him growing still, he'd be better off buying a great quality used bike from one of the reputable places in Boulder or trying Craigslist and having it checked out at a bike shop. This way, he can get a solid, rockstar level bike that will be able to perform at my son's growing, but respectable skill, within a budget (for which my son will have to pay half) that wouldn't make.me cry when it inevitably gets mangled and provided tips to me on how to size it for him. This is not the first time, either. When he was 10, Steve took nearly a half hour to teach my son how to change a flat (I listened closely; he provided tips that adults could learn from). What did he get paid? Whatever they get for selling two 26” innertubes. My son changed the second flat tire (yeah, he had two flats . . . bad encounter with some goats heads) with some frustration, but more determination, as he really wanted to know how to do this himself out on the trail.I'm learning, but when I get in over my head as a dad who is honest about what he doesn't know, I count on Tin Shed to encourage the next generation and pitch hit as a dad for a few minutes when we stop by.We're blessed to have a bike shop that cares about teaching and encouraging the next generation within our small town/biking hub.

Want to the Tin Shed for a weather talk hosted by the bike shop/ coffee house. Great venue, great people, great owner of the shops. Right off the road on your way in or out of town. A must return in the future, also found interesting beers (old viscosity, say what?).

The folks at Tin Shed are pros. I just brought my brand new Jones splitboard into them after taking the most serious core shot of my life in the backcountry. The edge was bent out and separating from the board and the deep gash was insane and a few inches long. They brought it back to life in a few short days, for a wicked reasonable price, and gave me serious relief. True magic, I was thinking the board was nearly destroyed. Can't wait to get my mountain bike tuned up in the fall.

If you've ever been to Nederland then you know; you know what everyone else is missing. For a cyclist, road or mountain, you won't find a better location to test your skills and over the past couple of years Nederland has boomed in popularity. It was only a matter of time before someone recognized the need for a full service bike shop. Tucked away on the corner of Snyder and 2nd streets you'll find TIN SHED SPORTS.The first thing you'll notice is how well the barn-like structure fits right in. It's the perfect astmosphere to enterain the kid in all of us and inside you'll find some sensual delights; my favorite are the Fat Bikes. You're always greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff and you're sure to find anything you need to keep those two wheels rolling. Full service is an understatement, it's not unusual to have your bike worked on while you wrap your gloves around some grubs and suds next door at Salto and enjoy your lunch out on the patio.Stop on in next time you're in Nederland and consider TIN SHED SPORTS for your next bike purchase or rental and tell them Dirt Life sent you.Cheers!
