This store is a family owned, small town gem. Some of their prices are high, yes, but that’s because they don’t have the buying power as Kroger’s, Walmart, Safeway etc. They have a good selection of organic, gluten free and conventional foods, and a gigantic area for pet food and supplies.

Decent grocery store for your stay in the ski town area. Have organic varieties and fresh produces.Definitively a pit stop unless you have time to stop at Costco in Denver.

They now have a wide variety of Dave’s Killer Bread. They also have new products like Wonder Bread, Nature’s Own and Tastykake.

It’s nice to have even a store like this in town because you can sometimes get something last minute if you need it (though you’ll pay a lot for it). But even though I live in town, I can’t walk here to shop because they don’t allow backpacks. If you won’t allow them, just make a space behind a register or something so people can carry their stuff. Ugh.

Very clean and well stocked grocery store. We did not expect this variety at such a small mountain town.

Sure it’s more expensive than grocery stores in town but that’s to be expected given it’s location. I love the B&F Mountain Market and am so glad we have it in Nederland. It has some quirks but that’s Ned for you. I love the feel of this store. It’s like a grocery store from my youth. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Never crowded. Selection leaves you wanting for a bit more but it’s great store nonetheless.

Cheaper to drive to boulder, and get a burger at a restaurant than buy buger fixins here. Completely disgusting filthy greed! Oh amd you cant bring bags to carry your groceries home with! GFYS!

Local resident. Supported this store countless times this year alone; once-twice a week visits. Get screamed at by an employee just now to take my backpack out of the store. Yes, the same backpack I always wear when on my motorcycle. The same backpack I fill with my groceries each time I visit this store. But not this time. I ask the man if I may leave my backpack with a cashier: I'm on a motorcycle, I have nowhere safe to put it while I shop. Man tells me no.I have enjoyed bringing my money to this store to support small business. NEVER AGAIN. I will never give my support to this store ever again. To be a resident of this community, and a supporter of this small business, and yet to be treated this way is a disgrace.

Decent, but they won’t allow you to bring in a backpack to put your groceries in after you finish shopping, even if you just left it at the register.

Lived in the area for 26 years. Never had a bad experience here. Like talking with employees, locals, and visitors. Often I just prefer the less crowded shopping experience vs Boulder. Prices are reasonable given your only options are going to Boulder, Lyons, Idaho Springs, or Estes Park. Always has been a hippy town so they have to be prudent about potential shop lifters and people carrying bags. Lots of lowlifes passing through, some not so good kids with bad parents too.And the complaints about expired food, never seen it personally... But if you think something like re-packing old stuff only goes on in small groceries, you're delusional. Every major grocery chain does that legal or not. The CBC had a special documentary on it. If you only knew, you'd never buy groceries again anywhere!I appreciate this store is available and has been an option during fires, floods, and pandemics. I appreciate they're still open serving the peak to peak area despite needing to cut hours back. Thanks!

This store is never open. Been living here for years and it seems to be getting worse and worse. Don’t mind paying more. Just gotta be open

It closes at 5:30 and everything is overpriced beyond reason. The only grocery store for miles and they're illegally price gouging our area very very bad. Plus the lines are super long because only like 2 people work there at a time, but they have like 4 or 5 registers that could be open. Hire more people to check everyone out! I absolutely HATE giving them my hard earned money for simple food. And if you want anything besides food, forget it. Smallest bag of dog food is 22 dollars plus tax. They sell phone chargers for 22 dollars also... And that's just the USB wire without the plugin adapter....

This place is trash. Close at 6? Ok. I can’t bring a backpack to carry my groceries but I can bring a bag? Ok. The prices are ridiculous. I literally save money by driving to boulder and back versus going to this place. Won’t give this place a penny. Trash.

No backpack in the building. I missed the sign, and got kicked out of the store. I know it's now legal to refuse service if you think people or perhaps certain types of people with backpacks can be evil. But this is just ridiculous and kind of ignorant or dumb, whichever is less offensive.

Not sure why they think closing a grocery store at 6pm makes sense... Not many working people are going to shop there if you refuse to offer hours that work for them. I WANT to support this local store, but between the terrible hours and passive aggressive hand-written notes accusing everyone that shops there of stealing from them, it's like they are working as hard as possible to self-sabotage and destroy their own business! As others have mentioned, the selection is limited and the prices are high, but I'd be happy to pay that price for the convenience of a local store if they were open to accept my money. Come on, would it kill you to be open until 7 or 8pm? This is a classic example of being pennywise and pound foolish - no business thrifts its way to success.

Great store. Lived here 12 years and they are reliable and give good service and have decent prices. Great meat and fresh fruit and vegetable selection at comparable prices to chain stores but waaaaay better quality. The mountain burger is an awesome spot for a quick lunch or a snack. Ice cream in the summer. Kind people who work hard. For the entitled people angry about the backpack policy, grow up and stop being so lazy, it's to prevent theft (duh) so just leave your backpack in the car or by the door and stop harassing the employees, who are just doing their job.

Very poor experience. We bought something that was off tasting. When we tried to return it, they would NOT take it back or exchange it. They did not offer us a receipt, so I pulled up my bank statement to show that I had made the purchase. Despite my bank information and knowing they sell the product, they would not take it back or exchange it. I've just never seen a business run this way....very odd.

Very nice place to visit. They have a good selection and it was an amazing drive to get to this location. The people are very friendly and it is a place you can be around people but still be away from all the hustle in Denver. It is a good store and the prices were very reasonable. Large parking lot for all kinds of cars and horses.

Overpriced and low quality items, especially the store brand goods and produce. Some products are loaded with MSG and I have a sensitivity to it and found out the hard way. Dairy is marked up really high, even higher than I pay at the coop for the same product, like Strauss yogurt. No backpack rule is extremely irritating, don’t plan to be able to drop by after a bus ride or other local errand because you can’t even just leave a backpack by the front and will be yelled at to get out of the store instead.

Nice assortment of many foods albeit much higher prices than you'd pay by driving to Boulder. Most employees are friendly and helpful but 1 lady manager is kinda grumpy so I avoid her on my weekly visits.Addtional:This is an update I posted on another site reflection new conditions at this store...My experience is quite similar to several others (Mike M., Cali S. and Nancy R. for example). It's nice to have a local grocery store available, I even expect to pay a bit extra cuz it saves me a trip to Boulder or Evergreen but I DO NOT appreciate the older manager "ladys" attitude, she has been downright rude at one time or another to every member of my family for asking simple everyday questions. She needs to find employment that doesn't involve working with real people. With that said, EVERYONE ELSE I have encountered has been very happy to help out by answerng questions politely. One bad apple.....Store owner, please pay attention or she will sink the ship for you and ALL of us locals!

There are people in management that are rude and have no place being in a management position.Often times I've found expired food on the shelves. I've shopped here for years and don't feel there is very much customer care here as there once may have been. Be sure and insist on your receipt, because they won't work much to insure your customer satisfaction without it.

Staff was rude and asked us to leave because we were not aware we needed masks to enter. They didn’t ask us to wear a mask they just told us to leave. A party of 6 of us solely wanting a bite to eat as we passed through town and stopped at a poorly recommended burger place to eat. Will never attempt a stop here again and will definitely inform everyone in my network to avoid this place at all cost. Even if they need a snack from the grocery part of the store!

Great mountain grocery store. Small, good prices, all the necessary products. The cashier and bagger were kind and funny, especially when our can of biscuits burst. Quickly replaced them and sent us on our way. Quiet store with old school charm. Well worth a stop if you're in Ned!
