First time visiting and were with family who had been at the hit springs on multiple occasions. Such a beautiful place. Rooms were great, right near the creek. The hot springs were excellent and dinner was delicious and our waiter was fantastic. But the best was Sarah , my message therapist. I give her 20 stars. One of the best messages I ever had. Highly recommended this place.

Location is beautiful, Springs are a unique experience. Service is struggling mightily with long lines at check-in, rooms not ready, and check-in staff varying from harried to downright rudeRooms are nice and unique features include a fireplace and fully functional kitchen with dishes and cutlery. Beautiful stream runs behind the Creekside cabins and adds to the ambience of the stayIf they can fix the service issues, I would recommend, but as of now, I would not, nor would I return. However, thumbs up to the incredibly friendly bartenders- they were great!Rooms: Loved the fully functional kitchens and fireplaceWalkability: Walkable from all rooms to the springs

The hot springs are small and quiet, set alongside amazing views, and the experience of soaking in the creek is so fun. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I can’t rate the rooms as well. For what we paid, the value was definitely in the activities. Our room was clean and spacious, but we could hear our neighbor’s voices and alarms, pillows were lumpy and the mattress felt like it was on its way out.Rooms: For what we paid, the value was definitely in the activities. We stayed 2 nights in the main lodge in late December and enjoyed the beauty of a fresh snowfall and the convenience of the on premises restaurant and hot springs. The restaurant is nice and open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ate there two nights and one morning; everything we had was very good and prices were on par with being at a resort. Nice to just walk back to our room after a great meal. The rooms were comfortable and nice but a little worn in a few spots like carpet and creaking floors. The bathrooms in the hotel rooms are a little small and the coffee pot is right next to bathroom sink which isn’t ideal. Room service was good and they kept the room well stocked with towels and coffee. The bathhouse has lockers that are paid or free with the rooms. You only get one towel per person and bring sandals or something to go to and from the bathhouse, especially if going down to the small pools by the river. Staff were all friendly and nice. Overall a great value if you are wanting to enjoy the hot springs and some good food.

Pros: hot springs.Cons: LONG lines for check in, seeing as they only had one lady person the front desk. I waited over an hour to get my keys to the room. Another thing is that all of the hot springs were super crowded and a bunch of kids literally running around and screaming the entire time. The room we stayed in was a “hillside” room & looked worse than an old motel 6, where the ac/heater would kick on and off every 20 minutes and is obnoxiously loud and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been clean since they day they installed it 90 years ago. You can also hear your neighbors next to you and outside. This is honestly not even remotely close to being worth $700 for two nights. When I called to see if we could get a different room, they said we could not because they were fully booked but if I left about 10 minutes after check in, I would have been able to get a HALF refund. I’d prefer to just pay for a day pass than $700 for this. It’s definitely NOT worth it and I’d look elsewhere to stay. The infinity pool that is right by our motel closes at 5, while the other pools don’t close until 9 but those are on the other side of the resort so you would either drive or walk over there. The parking at the main resort area is overflowing with cars all of the time, so parking is a nightmare!Rooms: VERY outdated, the bed is super uncomfortable, pillows are bulky, you can hear your neighbors on both sides of your room, the ac/heater kicks off every 20 minutes and it’s SO loud every time it turns on and off. The carpet is ridiculously outdated and looked so gross. For what you pay for, it is definitely NOT worth it. I stayed at the Hillside rooms, for reference. 0/5, would not recommend.

Beautiful location and rooms were spacious and clean but we did not receive the correct cabin with 2 bedrooms and a loft, we were given one with one bedroom and a loft with 2 beds in the same room. Also, apparently if your fireplace heater goes out there is no way to fix it on your own nor are there maintenance people on site available to help? BRING EXTRA BLANKETS IN THE WINTER! We were offered another cabin to move to at 7am but it seemed silly to have to move all our things just to check out at 11am. As for service, do NOT depend on the restaurant for food. They don't have enough servers to start. Service was slow and took awhile for lunch, they forgot my sandwich order and other people were served before me and my fries were burnt but the waitress apologized profusely and I know it wasn't her fault. As for breakfast, it is apparently "first come, first served" and they won't tell you that when you get there and check in and although we were there at 8:20am we were refused seating because "it messes up their minutes" which we don't even know what that means and they only had 2 servers so we were literally asked to stand in the corner until one became available (which we just left at this point) and we were not allowed to sit at any of the 50 open tables to just sit and look out the window even without service or just to wait. There were maybe 10 people seated at 4 tables so that's how you can expect breakfast to go. Better off going 15 minutes into town!!! The Roosters Crow cafe sat us immediately. We maybe would come back here, we really had a wonderful time until these things happened and they kind of left a bad taste. We just thought the policy was weird at the restaurant and not in the best interest of paying customers, didn't make us feel welcome.Food & drinks: Go 15 minutes into town for food instead!

Buyer beware. If paying with a credit card, you get charged an additional 3.99% of your lodging. This does not show up on your folio receipt. Stupid as it is, bring a check and save yourself some money. We would have saved almost $90. This is a new policy within the last 2 months. The cabin was nice and slept 6 people easily. The fireplace heater did not turn on. Those tend to be finicky anyways. The pools were delightful and we saw a lot of wildlife.

One of our favorite places to relax and unwind. The entire staff is friendly and very helpful. The hot springs is beautiful and lots of options to choose from. You have different temperatures and big pools, creek side pods and adult only areas. The restaurant is amazing!!! We left our iPad behind and called to ask them to ship it back. They happily packed it up very well and shipped it out that day for us. Highly recommend this place for a great getaway.

What a wonderful experience at Mt Princeton Hot Springs. We stayed at the creek side suites which were perfect for my family of 4. Nice kitchenette and stunning view of the creek. Our room was a quick 3 minute walk across the Main Street to the pools. Spending time in the hot pools next to the creek was a very unique experience. Hot water and cold water right next to each other. So fun going from 106 degree pools to 32 degree running clean creek water. There is a really nice adult area too with 3 clean hot pools. That’s one thing I really loved, how clean the pools were. The water is constantly running through them keeping them fresh and beautiful with varying temperatures. One of the pools got up to 111 degrees which was awesome! There is a cute restaurant on property and a great market shop with pizza and snacks. The staff were so friendly, everyone was friendly!! And the constant gorgeous views were just breath taking. We took the little hike from the road behind the creek side suites to the conference center and it was perfect for me and my 2 young kids. It took about 30 minutes to the top and beautiful views and birds, cliffs, and natural beauty. It took us 2.5 hours from Denver and was an easy drive there and home. We will be returning again in June!! Amazing experience!!Nearby activities: St Elmo, shopping in BV, hikes, walks, horseback riding, outdoor jogging, camping

The springs are beautiful, with many options. We had a cabin with pros and cons. It was well equiped, but quirky. For example, there is no place to hang wet clothes and towels and the dishwasher was mediocre. Huge cobwebs and dust in the windows was gross, but the rest of the cabin was clean and nice. Plenty of room and a great location.Customer service is hit or miss. Some staff are friendly and helpful and some are impatient and disinterested. This is a very relaxing getaway and I highly recommend it overall!

Such a great getaway spot. From the view, to the rooms and customer service. Every aspect was fantastic. The creekside suits are amazing with a fully stocked kitchen, 2 wardrobes, a back patio.. I adored it. My only suggestion for this room would be them adding some sort of table or shelf in the bathroom for your necessities. There was no where to set my make up, hair tools, toothbrushes, skin care etc. But other than that, it was great. Every single staff member i met was pleasant and kind and helpful. The pools, spa, locker rooms, showers were so clean and functional. I loved everything about our stay.

What an amazing experience! The condo we stayed in on the property was incredibly well maintained. Older beds but otherwise fantastic. The staff was excellent as were the facilities. The restaurant was delicious for both lunch and dinner. The servers were on point, especially Kyle at dinner who was my best server I’ve experienced in a long time.Don’t miss this for a romantic or family getaway!

We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We stayed in the creekside rooms. I loved them! The fireplace was wonderful. I had the door cracked to listen to the creek. The kitchen area was great! We used the pull out couch too. It was the most comfortable couch bed I have slept on. I love the modern rooms that are well laid out. The bathroom felt very private. The natural creek pools are my favorite. We had a great stay. Thank you!

I stayed here for two nights in the end of February/early March. The only reason why I can’t give 5 stars total is the fact that they do not provide robes. I’ve been to many spas and robes are always included especially when you stay. They told us that we could only get robes if we booked a massage or facial service which was frankly just to get more money out of us. I really do think they should include robes since getting in and out of the pools especially in the winter without one and only the towels they provide is just not enjoyable. You’re freezing! Otherwise everything else was great. I particularly loved breakfast at their restaurant (get the chicken and waffles) and the pizza in their market (make sure to load up on toppings).

Booked a room for the weekend with two other friends, on the first night the heater was not working and was told, “Did you not know there was a someone available for maintenance at night?” Reached out about the issue once, it was only fixed after the SECOND time it was brought up. Second night we stayed, the TV was not working. We were told somebody would come up to fix it & never showed up. You would think for $350 a night they would have better quality rooms and friendlier staff, but instead when approached with issues all the staff said was ok, not “Sorry what can we do to make your stay better?” Was compensated with 3 free coffee and smoothies from the poolside bar.Enjoyed the pools, but probably will not come again just because of the staff. Jennifer at the front desk was little to no help and gave us attitude at every issue that was addressed. If you have issues here with the quality of the rooms, don’t bother bringing it up because you will not get compensated for it.

I stayed at Mt Princeton during the Christmas break. The locations was incredibly beautiful but that is where it good ends. Upon arrival there was a few receptionist and only one appeared happy to be working. The other two were really grouchy to the guests. Luckily I was checked in by the nice receptionist. The restaurant could use some work on servers as half are great the other half are not very attentive. The spa seemed very unorganized but once you get through the check in process the massage therapist is great. NOW here is the main complaint. The room seemed more like a Motel 6 rather then a nice resort. The heat barely worked and no one ever answered the phone to fix it. The worst part of the stay was when we left and how we were treated. Upon departure about 45 minutes into our drive we noticed we forgot about 3k worth of items in the closet. We called right away to see if they could check and retrieve the items and by the way we left at 7am. They kept giving excuses of why they could not check but would before the guests arrive for check in. I called several times in the first 3 hours and the same excuses. Finally they called back and admitted that the new guest arrived in which this should of been resolved by then. Over the course of the next few days I called multiple times a day to get an update as the resort kept telling me the cleaning services will check and that they would call and leave a message with the folks staying in the room. This never happened. Finally I sat on the phone for 90 minutes waiting for a manager to try to help only to hear the same excuses and even made a remark that his staff would never steal stuff and they bring 30k dollar rings to the office that have been left behind. I am not saying any staff stole the items but I am saying crappy 1 star motels give you better customer service and follow through. I am sure all reading this have left stuff behind at a hotel and called and have easily found a solution. If you forget your stuff here forget about getting it back.

We had our honeymoon here and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Everything about it was just right! Seemed like we also came at the best time as it was extremely quiet when it came to population of other guests which is always a plus for a nice getaway! Just about everything here is ideal for couples to enjoy and we tried to take advantage of the low numbers to get the most out of our honeymoon here! There was however only one little problem that we just wanted to address which will come off as a rant but just a heads up for anyone else who may find themselves in this situation; We had flown in and drove from Denver to here the day after our wedding and the wife managed to get a little under the weather beforehand but we still wanted to try for their massage service. Next morning we had spent most of our day within the springs while booking massage appointments. As we’re setting up appointments we had to fill out forms and there was a question of “are you sick?” My wife answered it with honesty assuming maybe they would have a work around like a mask or what not and if worst case scenario they would just deny her an appointment, which is fair there’s no argument there. We turned in the forms and were told when to come back as that was a “check in” process as well. So couple hours go by and we get lunch and sit back at the room for a bit before the times to get a call roughly two hours before wife’s appointment stating they did in fact cancel hers due to being sick, and that was fine it is what is we guessed they didn’t have a workaround after all, the thing that was frustrating though was that they still charged us for her appointment(75% of service)which felt unfair. They promised to have the manager call to get a better understanding(we don’t have the problem of denying service for health reasons it’s mainly being charged for nothing) but we have yet to get that call as well. Would like to believe going forward they would have the employees working the front to give a glance at the forms as soon as they are done signing to double check for any questions answered that would be deemed a “red flag” for them to then converse with guests about it or this may encourage others to be dishonest on the form since they may be charged regardless. Aside from that mishap, i HIGHLY recommend this place to every single couple and even families who want a nice relaxing and beautiful winter vacation to stay at!Rooms: Excellent rooms with plenty of climate controlled devices throughout. Having choice of walk in shower and bathtub was wonderful along with the water flowing though felt therapeutic. Double sided fireplace really brought in the entire suite and bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve had in a hotel space.Nearby activities: Plenty of pools to relax in along with the natural springs next to the creek. They have a few workout activities in the morning and their massages are worth every minute. Couple minutes down the road are the stables for horseback trails that was a must for sightseeing! We mainly went to Salida which was about 25mins away and it’s a nice cozy town to walk around in. Highly recommend the ghost tour out there and the mexican restaurant Fiesta Mexicana.Walkability: CREEKSIDE suites where perfect spot and walking distance from the spas and main lobby buildings.

I was here for a work training and it was incredible. The rooms were spacious and a lot of them had amazing views of the chalk cliffs and the mountains. They have a great event venue, especially for weddings! The springs themselves were great as well and they do have a cold pool you can dip in if you get a little hot. There’s also a bar with great mixed drinks to help you unwind that much more.

So, we just spent the weekend here over Easter. The whole thing was just disappointing. I had really looked forward to visiting, as it's the only hot springs in the state we had never been to.The welcome call from the front desk was a nice gesture, but everything else left a lot to be desired. We stayed in the building above the infinity pool. The room was newer, but the finish quality was like temporary dormitory buildings. Really, poorly executed construction. The walls are thin and you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the adjoining rooms. We also heard scratching in the ceiling throughout the night, like mice were nesting. The heater blows right at the bed, and when it turns off cold air blows in. Honestly, I've stayed in nicer accommodations in underdeveloped countries. The little creek pools were our favorite thing but they were crowded, and the infinity pool was nice but overcrowded. The older pools were also crowded, and there was trash floating around in the water. Parking was challenging throughout the property. The clencher for me was the Easter brunch we attended this morning. It was expensive. $69/person. When we arrived there was some confusion about our table. They ended up seating us at what they called a "community table", with another group that we didn't know. There were so many other tables available the entire time. The group told us that some of their party had cancelled but weren't given a refund. So we got their seats, at their table, that we and they had both paid for! I'm sorry but there is absolutely no reason for this! The group was nice, but talk about an awkward and uncomfortable brunch. Why did I pay this exorbitant cost for a meal just to share a table with strangers, when everyone else had their own table? Had I known, I would have just driven into town for breakfast. The food was okay, but not amazing. Surely not $210.00 good, and certainly not considering that our seats were paid for twice. I'm fine to pay for good food and good service, but this was disrespectful. I'd really like to know why this happened. If management can email me, I'd like to talk about it.Overall, we probably won't come back here. There are so many other places to soak in the state, and this one was the least relaxing experience of them all. Really had high hopes, but sorely disappointed. The best Western in Buena Vista was a way better stay, unfortunately.

My boyfriend brought us here for our anniversary. He ordered a package, where we would have a private dinner and a private soak. The dinner was in the entrance of the club house, and the food was cold... the private soak was amazing. I highly recommend not eating at the restaurant if you have food allergies. They claim they will work around allergies, they do not. The rooms are very nice, as long as you get the room you booked. Recommend bringing your own pillows, (they use throw pillows for the beds. The pillows are hard and lumpy) All that aside, the location is beautiful and rich in history. I don't think we will return.

Room prices are quite high but you can find good deals during the week. Locker room wasn’t the cleanest but people also just leave their belongings scattered about. The river area was incredible and the pools were clean and comfortable. Lockers are pricey - just put your stuff in your car if you can. I would recommend Mt Princeton over the nearby Cottonwood Hot Springs.

The room is excellent. But I wish they had some robes and slippers, will be more convenient. Especially this place is all about bathing. The hot spring and pool itself is so inconvenient. The main pool- only 1 entrance to the pool, if I want to cool down in the colder pool, I need to exit it thru the building and by the time I get to the cold pool I’m cold already 😅 they should put some extra stairs for convenience. As well as there is nowhere to sit down in the pool itself. The pool at the spa is much better, but I was always looking for a place to sit down. The route to get to the spa is so weird and so long, I was freezing so bad till I got there from the main pool, so I suggest going there while you still dry if it’s winter time.To get to the creek also takes a minute and not the most convenient and safest way to do so.Their logistic is a 2 ⭐️ unfortunately, but the overall experience is goodRooms: The room exceeded my expectations. Very spacious and clean, amazing view to the creek and wonderful sound of the creekNearby activities: The pool are should have some extra stairs to the pool to freely switch between hot and cold poolsWalkability: Not as convenient to walk to the pool, especially if you are coming wet after. We decided to drive

Everything outside of our rooms was fine. Nothing like holy cow blow you away experience but it was. Fine the natural hot springs were a bit crowded. All the pools and areas seemed a little busy.Let’s talk about the room though. Paper thin walls, we could hear the neighbors alarms. Their snoring, the music they were playing all evening long. The WiFi would not connect, and the response was meh it happens. The Bathroom was disgusting. The ceilings had stains and chipped paint. The toilet handle was about to fall off. Someone did a great job on tiling the tub but decided to clear coat silicone the bottom edge and just cover up the water mold. The heater/AC in the room definitely turned on whenever it deemed fit and could not hold a temperature in the room. The beds might have been something to be desired. Terrible mattress terrible pillows. Someone else mentioned Motel 6 in a previous review. The price vs the quality of stay was not as expected. Put some of that money into your rooms and people may want to come back for a better experience.

Me and my old lady brought went and it was super cool! The hot springs along the river are perfect because you can pee without getting up and into the cold. It just flows into the river and is good for the ecosystem.
