I took my 10 year old pit mix to Palmer Lake Veterinary Clinic. I loved it there. They didn’t over use calming meds to sedate her for her X-ray and nail trim like our previous veterinarian clinic had done. Actually they didn’t drug her at all and she was totally calm through both procedures!! I will continue to take my girl to Ashley Duncan D.V.M and her staff at Palmer Lake Veterinary Hospital.

My dog was really ill. They got me in immediately and treated her with no delay. I felt Dr. Lincoln was very competent and was confident in her diagnosis and treatment. My dog is doing well now and I’m thankful for their kindness and ability to see my sick dog promptly.

The best vet office around, hands down. They take care of all of my dogs and have for over five years. Yesterday, I had a dental emergency with my little Chihuahua. I think maybe she got a tooth snagged on the other dog's collar. The tooth was lifted sideways and poking up through her little gums or mouth and there was plenty of blood. Stunned and a bit upset, I grabbed the dog, jumped into the car to drive the handy three minutes from my house and within an hour, they had my baby girl all fixed up and ready to pick up. Dr. Whited was great and they are all so caring and concerned. They always follow up with me the next day to check on my dogs. The prices have gone up a bit, it seems, as has everything else, but they are still better priced than the city vets. Thank you all for taking such great care of my fur babies.

Wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to them. I am impressed! Had to change vets because my long time one was retiring. Felt right at home immediately. The Staff and the Doctor were wonderful. Palmer Lake Veterinary Hospital was recommended to me by a colleague, so I thought I would give it a try since it was such a convenient proximity to my house. The staff at PLV is wonderful and kind. My dog is not the easiest patient and the Vet and the Techs were patient and very helpful in helping me to find solutions. The waiting room is large and welcoming, with snacks for owners and pets. They also have a memorial rock garden honoring all of our loved pets that we have lost. You can feel the love that they put into their practice all throughout.

Ive had some horrific situations come up both financially and medically last year ... all year. The year ended with me having major surgery - .66 cents in my account and having to put my cat down - scout. She was 12. She ate a string and it cut her intestine up. I was beyond consolable. Here I was in pain myself and holding my cat who was dying. I tried another vet whom said they would charge 3000 to even give her surgery and not the cost of everything else and handed me pamphlets on credit cards. Last thing I wantedI went to Palmer lake. They looked at her and hell they were willing to work with me and it was a n off day but wouldnt charge for the emergency visit. Wouldnt charge for pain meds and all sorts of things. It was still high but then the doc stopped everything... and sat me down knowing I was the type of owner that would go bankrupt then to loose my baby.She told me reality for it was a less than 5% chance of survival. and she morally didnt want to take my money knowing there was a strong chance she die during surgery. They immediately gave my baby pain meds and got her comfortable which was bitter sweet because she seemed to be ok but she still wasnt.As an owner you cant imagine how much I beat myself up... where did she get the string, why did it take 2 weeks to see it, am I just a horrible human being? The vet levels with me and allowed me to cry. She didnt have to do that. Kayla also sat with me. They gave me time to cope.I never seen my own animal put down and its by far the hardest thing to watch and decide to do. You feel like a scumbag. What could you have done better? My appointment shouldnt have taken as long as it did, but they gave me a lot of support.Not only that They sent me this and I got Scout back. The detail in preserving her was amazing and IM glad I listened and had it done. It gave me closure. The crazy part was when I got the letter I cried even harder. I keep Scout and that letter close by to this day to remind me even in the darkest of times, when youre alone and theres no light left, that there is a light shining in the most random places. The salt of the earth.Thank you. I wish she was still here today. You have no idea. Im still crying talking about her because she was my snuggle bunny. Never deserved to die and I never had any bad behaviors or issues with her which makes it even harder. She just wanted love. Thats all she wanted. Now every time I walk into that office I feel Scouts love. When youre single and alone it really makes a difference.So bitter sweet thank you for showing the kindness and level headed-ness I needed at that time. I really needed it. And thank you for allowing me to still have scout. and caring for me. She was my baby, I dont have kids and Im infertile. So it really did matter.

This is what we walk up to when we accidentally showed up a few minutes late for our very last-minute appointment they snuck a sin for before our vacation… Our Christmas card that we just delivered a couple days ago these are the greatest that’s in town we can come in for over 20 years please if you have an animal you love bring it to the Palmer Lake veterinary clinic!!!!! Honestly it’s the only locals choice!

We recently moved from Texas to Colorado.In the process,my,german shepherd,Loki, broke his tail.I contacted this clinic,and they were quick to respond and get Loki in for an appt. I might add this was Thanksgiving week.Loki ended up needing a partial tail amputation and he recovered without any complications and healed beautifully.Dr.Bush,Dr.Jensen,and all the staff are amazing,and Loki fell in love with all of them. I hate that Loki broke his tail and required surgery,but so happy that we found Palmer Lake Veterinary Clinic..I admit to being a "crazy dog Mom",and cant thank them enough for loving my boy and taking such wonderful care of him.I highly recommend this clinic!!!

We were struggling to find a vet who would take in our husky without us having to wait weeks. They squeezed us in and they were so kind and patient with our baby. They charged me two annual exams in one year. When my dog had his two teeth extracted last year, they told me the pain pill will be $7 per pill, then they charged $14 per pill on the bill. Not sure what they used to anesthestatize him, but my dog came home wimpering and drooling for two days. He couldn't move for the whole day, peeing on the bed where we laid him down when we got home. Before the surgery, i was told that my dog would be up a few hours after the procedure. When i called and expressed my concerns, they didn't seem too worried. I quickly changed the vet after that. It still upsets me to this day.

Dr Whited's expertise with very small animals kept our 2.5 lb dog safe during a complicated surgery. She has always been patient and informative with my countless questions beyond what most pet parents would ask. Their office has remained in close touch with me post surgery. Katie at the front desk has been so professional, responsive and helpful that she deserves a promotion or bonus!

All the staff are super competent. Vaccination requests are implemented by the vet techs and they've been really efficient while reducing the stress on my dogs. Appointments are easy to schedule. Android their app sends reminders which is useful having multiple pets.

These (mostly ladies) folks have a genuine love and concern for their patients, in my case my 2 cats. They take the time to do a thorough exam, checking teeth, ears, etc. Our older (18!) cat especially does quite well with their attention. We’ve been clients there for 8 years.

Dr. Bush did a very thorough 1-year checkup, answered all our questions, and gave us helpful advice for his care going forward.
