No other place we will go when looking for a new reptile or even buying food. We look forward to all the new things they have every time we see them!

The owner has always given excellent service and advice. He’s very knowledgeable and we love this shop! Not only do they have a great selection on new scaly friends, but also I great variety of live feeder insects. We won’t go anywhere else!

WAY better than Petco, or any other chain pet store in general. Animals are happy and healthy and well taken care of. Plus reasonably priced and a nice selection of products. Would definitely recommend especially if you are looking for a new pet.

This is the only place I can find sugar glider supplies in town, and my animals say their feeder bugs are delicious.And yes... there are real live Tortoises and a Hare in there.Thank you, owners, for helping me find a solution (a special glove) for my squirmy little ones who don't enjoy nail trims.

This place is amazing! The store is clean, they have everything you need, and all the animals are healthy and happy. We buy all our mealworms here for our lizards.Over Christmas we bought my Teen a snake. My Teen has wanted a snake since they were little. I was hesitant at first, but Kevin answered all my questions. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and honest. The whole process of buying a snake was very positive.My Teen has not stopped smiling since Christmas.Thank you Kevin!This is one of our favorite stores in Montrose.

Probably the cleanest pet store you’ll leave go into. Every single animal is always out and about happy as can be. Love going there.Worth just going in to look and see all the amazing and cool reptiles stuff.

The Hare and the Tortoise is the most awesome experience to visit , buy supplies for your exotic pets. Or learn about exotic pets. Kevin and his wife are so friendly and helpful. They helped me get over my fear of snakes.The pic I'm sending below is our rescue Bearded Dragon ( hates men lol) daddy Derek and Avyanna napping.
