This isn’t just the best pet store I’ve been to, it might be the best *any* store I’ve been to. Staff are so friendly and helpful — greet you, help you find things, help carry thing to register and to your car, throw in little treats for your pets and are generally just lovely people. The store has a great selection, does adoption events and provides poop bags at the dog park in town. Even the other customers are super gracious. One gentleman who beat me to the last kitten formula on the shelf came and gave it to me because he thought we needed it more than he did. Highly recommend.

Our favorite place to get groomed, toys, apparel or food! Tim & Krista are the best in the biz. Very very knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service! If you haven't gone...you and your fur kid are missing out!

It was my first time in Chow down today. The service was incredible. We Found out that our favorite Raw pet food was $10 cheaper per bag than what we were paying online. They threw in some gifts for my puppy and signed us up for a loyalty program so after buying so many bags, we get a percentage off. We’re excited that we found the store and we will be shopping here now for all our animal needs.

Chow Down is the place to go for pet supplies in Montrose! What impresses me is their willingness to take returns, even items that have been opened. I have an old and finicky cat and I'm constantly struggling to find treats that she'll eat. And of course, some products I buy for her just don't cut it, but I've never had trouble returning them. The staff is always cheerful and helpful, and the in-house cats usually like to get some attention as well!
