Very quiet, cozy, and spacious coffee shop. The small bakery options are tasty. The whole town of Vail is somewhat hidden, and with this place on the outskirts, it’s easy to miss unless you’re specifically looking for coffee. I also appreciate this business is eco-conscious.I wish we were staying longer to try more of the teas! I recommend this place for matcha lovers. The matcha latte with oak milk is perfect.

Excellent coffee! We stayed up the road in Minturn for a few days so this place was convenient to source some ground coffee. While there I got a breakfast burrito (frozen and reheated) which was above average. The freshly brewed drip coffee really hit the spot and the ground coffee was a hit with my group. Nice atmosphere with board games if you want a nice lingering morning or afternoon. I’ll definitely stop back if I’m ever around Minturn looking for coffee and light breakfast again!

When searching for local tea, I found this unassuming spot. Stopped in for some loose leaf for a gift. They have some great options sold as a freshly made cup or by the ounce. Both the vanilla black tea and the Wild River herbal were excellent. They have plenty of seating and some board games to borrow while you’re there. You can watch the coffee roasting area through some glass.

Amazing selections and flavors! Friendly and helpful staff, worth the visit!. Amazing architecture and cool glass view of the roasting part of the facility. Full selection of coffees from all over the world and well as in depth options for tea lovers. Drive out if the way to enjoy a great cup of coffee or baked goods.

I popped in early last Friday morning, and asked Craig for a coffee. 'Had a great coffee and an even better conversation. This is exactly the kind of place to be when then snow's drifting down and you're looking for some good Joe and conversation to warm the soul and restore your faith in humanity.Parking: You park right in front and there was plenty of it available.

A gem of a roaster is hidden behind a plain and humble store front as they continue to widen their influence amongst coffee/tea lovers and producers.Even before engaging with the baristas, the well-designed space reflects VMCT's passion for their craft and the advocacy of sustainable and fair practises in this industry.I was delighted with the flavor of the cold brew while I caught a behind-the-scene glimpse of the backroom and settled down at their tasting area on the other end of the shop.Don't leave VMCT without buying a couple bags of beans to enjoy at home. They also carry responsibly sourced tea.

Love this cafe. Always consistently great coffee (flat white) made properly. Unfortunately, today, we got 2 milky coffees from an untrained barista.

The 4 stars instead of 5 is mostly because the flavor of the coffee is a bit sour for my taste. Everything else about this place is stellar and I come here often for a quiet calm place to get work done, to be in a beautiful location in the mountains, and to journal. If you aren't into coffee they have awesome teas here and a few snacks (not vegan). Their roastery is visible from the seating area which is really fun too! Enjoy. Definitely worth a visit.Parking: in a strip mall of sorts right before downtonw Minturn so places to park easily and free.

The best part about this place is the prices. Flat white is like $3.80 and medium drip coffee is $2. Baristas are really nice and the interior is gorgeous with tons of seating. Small but good pastry selection. Good coffee too!

Love the space and the coffee. First time here and will be back soon. Next time I'll have to try an espresso drink and get some coffee beans to go. Fair prices and great customer service 👍

The baristas were condensing and unhelpful when ordering. It was just my husband and I in the shop, we go to the counter to look at the menu, was told to “hurry up, I’m not here all day” by a very high working man. Then his buddy, who is as high states “everyone thinks we are like the other guys (Starbucks)”. I was very startled by the whole interaction. It felt like these men were angry and upset at anything that would walk into the door.I live near and it’s sad to see our little town having experiences like this.

Quite possibly the best muffin I’ve ever had. They have a little filling in the middle. Lattes were good. Coffee art was a nice touch. Service- average. Nice atmosphere.

The coffee seems to have been ok, but the espresso wasn't really pulled correctly and fell a bit flat. Too many burnt notes dominating. This was maybe amplified by serving the espresso in a paper cup (even after asking for a different container). Staff wasn't very friendly. Baked goods though were excellent and very fresh. The shop is very pretty from the inside, but the presentation and execution of the coffee experience just didn't feel right. In our opinion not worth the visit.

Coffee is great. In fact I've bought 5 lb. bags monthly for years. I have had some shipping issues due to them changing from USPS, UPS, etc., some of that their doing, mostly the shipping entity, but they are always very willing and do correct and make up for the issues, and then some. The Nordic blend in particular is great, smooth, mellow and I've bought many teas as well and enjoy them. Seems like a good organization with very committed and friendly people.

Awesome little coffee shop! You can really tell everything is fresh. We got a muffin and chocolate croissant for breakfast and I was shocked how good they were. So fresh and whoever made the croissant knows what they are doing. There coffee is fresh ground in front of you!!

What a sham. We had many places to choose from on a Sunday afternoon and chose a local spot instead of Starbucks. The guy repeated over and over again how tired he was and that he was working alone. He asked us to repeat our order so many times, we requested he write it down (iced dirty chai is not so rare?!). Then, when we asked for a straw, he said “they’re bad for the environment so we give you a sippie cup instead.” I replied, “LIKE A TODDLER?” He said they had no straws on the premises. I’m all for environmentally conscious but 1. there are compostable straws readily available for sale on the market and 2. If a coffee shop won’t have straws for free, why not sell recycled plastic or glass or stainless steel straws? I would have totally paid $10 for a reusable straw. The service was bad. The drink was bad. And we threw our drinks in the garbage to go to Starbucks. I’m a local. The owner needs to do better.

Great selection of fresh roasted coffees from all over the world. Interesting location with a large window into the back as well as ample seating in a cozy setting. Friendly staff and a great place to catch a cup of coffee and bring home a bag for the next morning!

Great coffee, beautiful shop, and even has patio seating. What ruined it for me was the attitude of the barista. He seemed annoyed with every customer that came in, slightly passive aggressive, and short responses. Maybe he was having a bad day, but definitely wasn't very welcoming or kind. Will not be back.

I was really excited to visit the cafe location while in the area since I discovered the Nordic blend in my local King Soopers in Colorado Springs and really enjoyed the coffee. My friend and I went on Saturday afternoon, there was one other person in the cafe, and we had the strangest experience. First, we did not get greeted as you would expect walking into a not busy coffee shop. We browsed the tshirts and beanies for a moment because the atmosphere was really off but I really wanted some coffee so I went up to the register to order something. We both looked at the menu for what seemed like forever, and there was no offer to ask us what we were looking for or what we might want to try. Instead we just got stared at by both employees behind the counter, who didn't say anything to us at all, which made both me and my friend extremely uncomfortable. We ordered and probably only had 10 words said to the both of us from both of the employees while they just stared very hard at us. I was a little disappointed because I had a lot of questions about the coffee and possibly wanted to buy a bag but the atmosphere was so awkward that we got our drinks and left. I'm sure this isn't the norm, but it was our first time at this coffee shop and it was a very uncomfortable experience that kinda ruined the vibe of our fun day in the mountains so I will probably be visiting and buying coffee from the friendlier coffee roasters in Frisco.

The barista was not friendly even though we had never been in before and looked down on us after we asked if they offer iced coffee. They ONLY offer nitro cold brew with ice, which tasted watery. Espresso was not as flavorful as I was expecting. Overpriced for coffee that isn't very good.

Awesome locally roasted coffee. Plenty of different roast and varietal options for every palate with several different brew methods available. In addition to their dozens of loose leaf teas they also have a wide range of coffee and tea gear from French presses to filters to specialty tea pots.

I used to work for a cafe in Denver that sold Vail Mountain Roasters coffee and tea: high quality products all around, but my favorite was the creme Earl grey tea.Eventually, I moved to the east coast and could not find another company whose Creme Earl Grey could compare, so I ordered some through them. Still the best I've ever had.

Had 1 cappuccino, 1 late , 1 chocolate croissant, and 1 ham&cheese croissant that was reheated in a microwave 🤯 and not in the oven, so it came out stinking to high haven and went straight into the trush can.As for a coffee, it is too sour due to light roast. Foam was not done right either.

Was gifted 2 diffent bags of coffee from here for the holidays, and they were both undrinkable. The flavor was bad, and they did not brew strong (even after upping the amount of coffee I use). I'd say I got a bad bag, but other members of my family who got coffee gifted from here also thought it tasted foul.
