We did a full day guided fly fishing on the Eagle. Ron was our guide. We caught a TON of fish!!! And my biggest ever! I learned so much. I even asked for some further instruction on my casting and Ron was patient and helped me improve. I can.’t recommend the experience more, well worth it. Thank you Ron, you will see us again!

Spent a few days taking some top end customers on a Fly Fishing trip and Minturn Anglers knocked it out of the park. I had Joel B as my guide back to back days and we caught some excellent fish. It was my clients first time fly fishing and Joel B did a fantastic job being patient, helping my customer and I learn not just the basics but we learned for two straight days how to become proficient at fly fishing. Their boats, equipment and everything was top notch. Will definitely be booking with them again in the future.

Great Fly Shop in a beautiful location. They have the gear, the guides and the local knowledge to hook you up with great fishing. I caught 10 fish , on the Eagle River thanks to their tips on techniques and fly selections. Can't complain about that !

My daughter and I had an excellent experience with Mark Raskis. It was my daughters first fly fishing experience and Mark was so patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to teach her what she needed to know and now she’s hooked on it. He also taught me several things and improved my cast and we caught fish. If you need a great guide request him and you cannot go wrong.

*Since I cannot reply to the shop’s reply I will modify my review. We paid for a 3/4 day float trip and were told that was 6 hours. We only got 3.5 hours on the water. We were told to meet at the shop at 9:30 and arrived at 9:45 with our fishing licenses and waivers complete - unlike the shop would have you believe. We did have to try on waders since that could not possibly be done prior. We left the shop around 10am and got on the water at 11:30. Our trip was over right at 3pm. I know because I looked at my phone clock. We only caught 2 trout, one for each of us so you would have thought we would at least go the full time. The guide was nice be we really feel ripped off. It really makes me have no interest in doing another trip like this.

We fished the Eagle River with Ron and had an incredible time! We caught tons of fish and learned so much from him. It was my first time fly fishing but he was so patient and helped me out. I cannot recommend him enough. Great day on the River with a gem of a guy. My husband fishes a bunch and said he’s never had a guide put him on so many fish.

My 15 yr old son was unable go today and my 17 yr old daughter took his place, it was her first time fly fishing, and we both had a blast with Joel B! Joel B spent quality time with her on a few practice casts and she caught a fish on the 2nd cast. We both caught several fish a piece and learned a ton.. this was our 2nd time out with Minturn Anglers this summer and I hope to get out with them this fall..Thanks a ton Joel B and Minturn Anglers!!

A cool little spot to stop at when traveling to Edwards! The fly selection always has what I'm looking for, and the selection of gear that I may be lacking is complete. In speaking with any of the anglers working I have found them to be as knowledgeable as they are friendly and I'm always happy to stop in during my travels!

Myself and a friend spent the day floating and fly fishing with Joel (from Minturn Anglers); we had an absolute epic day! Joel had us on Browns, Rainbows and Cut-Bows almost immediately. He was jovial, good spirited and highly informative. He was more than willing to curtail his fishing guidance and approach to you, making sure you had the best day possible. Good information on fishing around the whole state. The guides that run the shop in Lone Tree as well as up in Minturn, all fish the water and will give you good advice on what flies to through. The are also some of the best guides in the business. Great team.

Had a blast fishing with minturn anglers. The team was timely and professional and we got our gear and on the road to the river less than 10 minutes after arrival. Let’s get one thing straight, Tom is absolutely incredible!I’m going to keep this short and sweet, but Tom did an amazing job from start to finish. He communicated well throughout the whole process, he spoke clearly when giving instruction, had quirky jokes, and made sure that everyone in our group felt important.One friend did not like fishing, and swore they wouldn’t have fun.. guess who had a blast and guess who we owe thanks to… TOM! Needless to say, we can’t wait to be back next year for another round of fishing with him. Thank you again!!

One of the most beautiful and cousy building in Minturm, I'm not a fan of the fishing district but honestly after being in this place just out of curiosity i might give it a try. For what I can tell the store is super complete with anything you might need and the attention is more than excellent!!! Got my self a Hat jajajajaja

Great outfit. we are returning to Vail since our trip last year and making it a point to have another fishing trip with Minturn. Had so much fun and learnt a lot from our guides Nate and Maverick. They were patient and knowledgeable. Brought the 5 of us to a lovely spot by some bridge. They tried to make sure we all managed to catch a fish. I was unlucky (or cough! really bad) and had to persuade our guides to leave as we were already way over our time limit. They weren't going to charge us extra but we had somewhere to go. They were so sweet to our special needs daughter, making sure she had a camping chair and was comfortable as she didn't fish. Their techniques were really good. Tip: they supply Gators, poles and all fishing equipment.

My brother and I did a full day float with Ryan. We couldn’t of been more happy with our day. Caught a bunch of solid fish. He did an awesome job navigating the boat and picking out the best spots to fish. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone and hopefully we’ll make it back someday!

I had 2 - 3/4 day trips this summer with my sons on the Eagle. Both of my sons are beginners, and had a great experience. We fished with Doug both trips, he was perfect for teaching my sons, and both were much better fishermen by the end of the day. I highly recommend Minturn and will definitely fish with them again.

Had an AMAZING day on the river with Taylor! My husband and I did this together and he has been fly fishing several times before. This was my first experience with fly fishing and Taylor was perfect. Great combination of hands on teaching for all skill levels, comedy, lots of different spots and fishing conditions seems like he has a really great knowledge of fish and the river. Would highly recommend Taylor!

My husband had a great trip with Brandon. He did a great job explaining and demonstrating the basics to my husband who had never fly fished before. The whole time Brandon was focused on him and his experience. Let him fish through lunch so he could get more time in the water. Taught him solid basics to build on. Great experience taking a half day wading tour, even as complete novices. It was in the winter and quite chilly, but our guide Billy was great and by the time we got going the cold hardly mattered. Incredibly knowledgeable, great teacher, and a lot of fun. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun time fishing!

No trip has been the same, each guide has been a genuinely great person with a passion for the outdoors.
