My sister celebrated a fantastic winter wedding at Beyul Retreat in early December 2023, and the entire experience was magical. The setting was beautiful, and the wedding guests enjoyed snowshoeing, soaking in the hot tub, and relaxing in the sauna. The Retreat staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The meals provided were delicious, and the kitchen staff was able to accomadate dietary restrictions. The cabins were comfortable, well-supplied with linens, kitchen supplies, and games and puzzles. Firewood was provided for the woodburning stove in the cabins. Beyul is pet-friendly, and we were happy to have our dogs with us for the weekend. The resort is remote, and the road required 4WD vehicles to get there and back in the winter weather, so transportation may be an issue for anyone with a less capable vehicle. There is no internet access in the cabins, but the lodge has wifi for anyone wanting to stay connected online. Overall, we had a wonderful time and were very satisfied with our stay.

If you want a true Colorado authentic and unique experience this is your place! Not only do does the staff go above and beyond to making you feel at home on the ranch, but the main lodge and amenities make for a cozy & calming vacation.Need a break from it all? Make sure you check out the art walk the meanders through the gorgeous pines and along the river

I spent 10 days at Beyul. I love it and will definitely return. Everyone who works there is awesome. The tea is great and there are a few wonderful gentle dogs around the property that mind their own business and are friendly if you approach them. They have an herbalist on the staff who answered many of my questions about the local plants and flowers and their medicinal uses.Go! You will not be disappointed

Our second stay and it was awesome again. Only comment is that the steps in and out of the hot tub were deadly icy. So maybe there’s some way to remedy that. Otherwise really look forward to our next visit!Rooms: Cozy!!!Walkability: Everything is right there. Great hikes.Food & drinks: Delicious high end fare.

Really great for events but if you’re just a non-event guest the facilities/yoga tent might be fully occupied by event facilitators/attendees. If you’re looking for quiet retreat you may not find peace or quiet if there is an event during your stay due to music or activities. The food is phenomenal and the one sauna area is great! The trails are subpar, facilities feel more of an event venue than a wellness retreat space. Dog friendly.

Our time at Beyul Retreat was fantastic! The food was great, the staff was extremely friendly, and the facilities were exactly what we were looking for. Our team meets once a year to bypass the video meetings to actually get to know each other. The environment at Beyul Retreat encouraged this bonding and resulted in deeper more meaningful relationships that will ultimately help us in our goal to achieve greatness as a team.Thank you for the serenity!

I really wanted to love this place but did have a few disappointments during my recent stay. The location and cabins are lovely, and it's a great place if you're wanting to "get away"; in particular I really enjoyed the sauna. However, the customer service aspect was non-existent and honestly a bit uncomfortable at times. When I arrived, the check-in sign said "please use radio if no ones here"... there was no radio. However, there was a man in the back who saw me, looked at me, and wandered off; the staff don't wear nametags or anything so I assumed maybe it was a guest. I then tried saying "hello" loudly, with no response. I kind of wandered the lodge and looked for someone for 10-15 minutes. I then found the same man from earlier and he was like "oh yeah I guess I'll track someone down to check you in". He had seen me when I walked in and completely ignored me, so that was weird. Later that day when I discovered my room auto-locked, I had to go back to the lodge and this time the radio was there. I called a number of times to ask to have my cabin unlocked (it was probably 5pm, so not an off-time). It took a while to get anyone to respond, and again I was treated like I was inconveniencing them by having to do their job. When I checked out (ie just dropping my keys at the lodge), there was a staff member in the lodge and I was completely ignored yet again. The entire stay truly felt like the staff was on vacation and I was bothering them by just wanting to check in and out of my room. There was probably 10 different staff on property, and maybe the same amount of guests. My room was clean and comfy. I was in a snug cabin which was perfect for my dog and I, but probably would have been tight if my husband had joined since you do eat in the room and there's only one chair. However, only one of my windows worked which was only a problem because when I arrived the cabin was super hot. One window had a laminated sign that said "do not use" because it was partially broken (instead of fixing it, they just don't let you use it), and the others didn't have handles to open.Lastly, I do love that they're dog friendly. However, most of the staff have dogs that are just free roaming. The dogs are friendly, but it wasn't ideal to walk my dog and have like 5 random dogs run up to us (if you have a reactive dog, you probably will not want to stay here). They don't allow guests' dogs in the lodge, but all of the staff dogs are allowed. It seems odd to me that the dog fee is fairly high and your dog is only allowed in certain places, but yet they have dogs all over. It seems like guests should at least receive similar treatment as the staff.I think this place could be spectacular if they upped the customer service aspect. I know they mainly focus on events, so maybe for events they're at the top of their game but then for the "regular" non-event guests it's more lackluster. I was bummed because I had been wanting to stay here for years.

Super cool place I will definitely return. Love the staff, vibes, views and amenities. Would like a lot more water pressure in the sinks and showers in the cabin though.

One of the most beautiful retreat properties. From creeks, rivers, and waterfalls -- to beautiful yurts, rooms, sauna/hot tub, cold plunge -- and scenic walking trails. They have a karma bar and store, just need to sign your name to buy things. Staff very friendly and helpful too. We went for a concert and they even had yoga in the morning! This would be a great place to have a wedding! ...or any other event. Will definitely return soon!

Beautiful peaceful retreat space in the mountains! Staff is wonderful, and the access to nature trails, river, plus sauna on site make it such a wonderful experience. The flowers and Aspen trees are spectacular- 10/10 recommend for a mountain getaway.Nearby activities: Lots of great hiking, mountain biking, and swimming nearby

Beyul is such a wonderful space. We were there for a student photography workshop and the staff was so accommodating and king. Thank you so much Beyul!Rooms: The lodges are perfect spaces, some rooms are fully wood cabin vibes and the staff always had a fire going.Food & drinks: Chef Greg is fantastic and accommodated to all of our dietary and wild needs.

Lovely peaceful retreat on frying pan River. It’s off season so we had sauna, paths, piano, communal kitchen & lodge virtually to ourselves—which was good and bad (mostly good). Would have liked to ride horseback, but that needs to be reserved well in advance. On-site coffee is weak, tea is good, and Bronwen was very helpful.Rooms: Small fridge/freezer in lodge room, communal kitchen with two induction burners and adequate cook/serving ware. Muzak was a bit disturbing but not audible in room.

My time at Beyul was so wonderful! The location is beautiful and the facilities are a great combo of cozy, welcoming, bespoke, simple and adventure-stoking. The entire team are professional, welcoming and very responsive. Superb hospitality without being over the top. I felt an instant sense of "home" being there and would go back in a heartbeat.Noteworthy details: The interior design is so cool and cozy. I felt an instant sense of curiosity and wonder while walking around and a desire to cozy up by the fireplace and read a book.

My wife and I booked a few nights and had an absolutely wonderful time wandering the property, soaking in the scenery, chilling at our cabin, and hiking on the nearby trails. I would highly recommend a stay to anyone wanting to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Stunning location and exceptional service.Noteworthy details: The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating.

I've visited Beyul twice (once in July and once in October) and I absolutely adore the place. It's gorgeous, and the cabins are so cozy. The hikes around the property are stunning and scale well to any ability level. In July, I attended a catered event and the food was a 10. Fair warning that there's only wifi in the main lodge (not in the cabins), but frankly, I view that as a plus. Way less screen time during the vacation means more time playing board games and laughing with friends. If you're a nature lover, I highly recommend a visit!

The drive along Frying Pan Road was a gorgeous greeting to the Beyaul Retreat. When I arrived, I was able to take an outdoor shower before hitting the sauna and the cold plunge. The grounds are inviting and well cared for. Rebecca was gracious, hospitable, and accommodating, a true treasure at Beyaul. Room 7 in the lodge was comfy and clean, a perfect follow up to 3 nights of camping. I only got one night at Beyaul and I didn't get to see most of the property, but what I did get to explore soothed my soul. I took the Riverwalk hike in the morning, spending some time on the river and in the trees before leaving before I was ready to. I will definitely be back to soak up some more of Beyaul. Thank you!

Honestly this place has seen it’s better days. The cabins desperately need to be maintained on the outside. The bathrooms inside are 1960s. The are also randomly clustered together in an unorganized manner with no privacy. Personally it’s set up that I would rather pitch a tent.Food & drinks: Bring all of your own food or get really hungry.

Beyul Retreat was exactly what my soul needed for a recharge on my cross-country road trip. A good friend highly recommended it, and they far exceeded expectations. As soon as I walked into the lodge to check in, I felt relaxed and welcomed - a feeling maintained across the property and staff. I originally only planned for one night, but I was super grateful they had vacancy to accommodate me another day. I stayed in the lodge, and it was fabulous. Everyone on staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The grounds are lovely, and the rooms / facilities are clean and cozy. While I was there, I missed one of their programs because my hike in the area went a little longer than planned, but I had the chance to hang around the fire (huge thanks to Ryan for getting that blazing heater going) and catch up with the amazing women who put it on afterwards. The next morning, Ashley (I believe??) led a fantastic yoga class that accommodated the varying levels in the group and certainly recharged me. The entire experience was an intimate one - marrying community, kindness and nature. I am already looking forward to the next opportunity I can schedule for my return. Thank you, all, for sharing this beautiful haven!

Our little family of 4 had a wonderful weekend at Beyul and I wish (badly) we could have enjoyed for longer! I am itching to get back to this beautiful place with beautiful energy and beautiful humans looking after it. I felt a connection to Beyul - so thankful this was the spot we chose to be in for a weekend. The sauna and hot tub, the lodge with the gathering areas (and coffee), our sweet cabin with its back porch and all the doggos were cherries on top. We opted for a late checkout to enjoy the land and not rush away and it was a glorious decision. This will be the fodder of my daydreams until I can return!

This stay is truly magical. My family stayed here to visit maroon bells for sunrise and this place made the trip even better. Everyone was so warm and inviting, the cabins are just the right amount of rustic, great amenities, wonderfully decorated, great bedding and the grounds are well maintained. Also super dog friendly! There is not one negative thing I can even think of from our stay.

My best friend and I needed a quick getaway to simply relax and Beyul Retreat exceeded our goals. Checking in, checking out, and all time spent was so easy that it felt like we'd been there before. We stayed in a room in the main lodge and plan to do it again ASAP. The social aspect had a hostel vibe, where there were other guests sharing communal kitchen space and living room space. However, it never felt like we didn't have privacy and quiet time. The staff made us feel like we were part of the gang, shoutout to Ashlee for providing us a lovely morning yoga session, Ryan for being exceptionally conscientious in making sure we had what we need, Reuben and Barrett for being so friendly and spending time getting to know us, Abby for ensuring we saw the art installations by the river, and Atlas the dog for being the best. We were also only a few steps away from the hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge, all so easy to use. My favorite part was having access to the fireplace, including all the materials to make fire starting simple and safe. I enjoyed strumming a guitar by the fire with sake that is easy to grab from the Bodega, which included most anything you may have forgotten.. finally, along with everything being so clean and tidy, all of the complimentary products (shampoo, lotion, soap, etc.) are organic and sustainably sourced. This includes all the tools available for cooking etc. We will be back, that's for sure.

I was at Beyul Retreat for a special weekend hosted by the band, LVDY.First up, the location and property was right off of a postcard. You are surrounded by 360 mountain views. When the sun goes down, the stars come alive, lighting up the sky. The Milky Way can be seen up above and the entire property is bright with moonlight. We stayed in a snug cabin and I can’t think of a better description of it. It seems like the place has been on the property for decades and that added to its charm. We had a mini fridge, microwave, wood burning stove, shower, running water and even a floor heater. When staying in cabins in the past, it is hard to come by amenities. Beyul Retreat has provided the best cabin accommodations I have experienced.Lastly, and certainly not least, the staff. Everyone was ready and able to help from the moment we walked in the door. They provided the perfect balance of being around to give you comfort if you needed something, but not being intrusive of our space. They also had these AMAZING black hats. Definitely made me jealous that I couldn’t be part of the team.If you are thinking about going to Beyul Retreat, DO IT! If you’re not thinking about going to Beyul Retreat and you made it this far, what are you waiting for?! The people, the place, the atmosphere at Beyul Retreat is unmatched *chef’s kiss*

I ended up here unexpectedly and it was the most perfect unexpected stay to end my time in Moab visiting parks making my way back to boulder. I hope to be back. The property is amazing and the cabin was super comforting. I loved building my own fire. I attended the yoga class with Ashley in a beautiful studio space. Thank you Ashley!! The staff were all super giving and easy to talk to. I ended my time with the sauna and cold plunge! Such a special treat!!

As a traveler, I depend on my fellow travelers and locals to guide me. When you call someone in the middle of nowhere and make suggestions for exploration, you should be prepared to help them with anything. I can not say that is what this place is ready for. They may have created the feeling of a cabin without its values, one being "neighborly."They promise to be with you in your good times, which I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to experience but surely are not with you in your bad. If you venture out, be prepared, and if you need help, be prepared to hear things like "have you tried googling" and "we don't let our equipment off the property"I can only hope with my review to warn and hopefully help this place learn some "cabin values."
