I've been buying dog food from here for about a year now. Employees are always friendly & helpful. I ended up going with a different brand of dog food because my dog turned 10. I wanted to get her the senior dog food which she ended up not liking. (She's very picky) So I called and asked if I could switch out her food with the normal food that I usually get and they said "yes" absolutely, I could exchange it or get a full refund. I thought that was pretty amazing given the fact I had already opened the bag. I will definitely continue to shop here & will highly recommend. Thank you!

I like their selection of frozen raw dog food, I had fun at Bark-in Movie Night, and they carry cute toys, even for small dogs! They often have really sweet cats for adoption as well My only complaint is that this location doesn't seem as organized and well stocked as the North College location. I've sometimes had to drive to another location to find what I need.You can get a ValPak coupon online or in the mail to save $5 off $50+. I appreciated that because the prices are a tad high.

Local small chain that cares about its employees, they are knowledgeable and care about your family members. Prices can be a little higher than amazon or big brand stores, but the service and price is worth it.

It's fine. They have a lot of variety which I appreciate, but the staff can really be hit or miss on whether or not they acknowledge your existence. It can feel like you're walking up to a group of gossiping high schoolers and interrupting them or they can be super friendly and helpful if you have questions.

I like this place a lot, locally owned is definitely a plus. The only thing that I feel could be improved is carrying breakaway collars. My family recently lost a one-year-old puppy to a collar strangulation accident in our backyard, the two dogs were playing and play biting each others necks and the other dog's jaw got stuck in the puppy's collar and it killed her. Chinook is a company made by people who also lost their dog to a collar strangulation accident and they make safety breakaway collars to prevent such tragic accidents.I would love to see these stocked at Poudre pet and feed.

I buy the dog wash punch card where you pay in advance and save money. I haven't been to every location of Poudre pet and feed supply that has a dog wash station but out of the ones that I have been to this one is my favorite.Above everything I listed below I am most grateful that they provide a stool to sit on in the dog washing stall, as with my disability it can be hard to stay on for the entire time it takes to get my dog clean. There is only one stall for dog washing (and it's at the back of the store), which is really awesome if you have a dog that gets more stressed in the bath if there are other dogs nearby. they have a shelf with the available soaps out for you to pick from if you do not bring your own, the tools they provide for grooming are more than adequate for my german shepherd mix (having scissors is especially nice as he likes to lay under a pine tree where sap gets stuck in his fur which must be cut off). In the wash station they provide a container with treats and there was a jar of peanut butter last I was there which can be great for helping keep your dog behaved during a bath even if they don't like it much. There was a bowl so you could give your dog water to safely drink during the bathing process. They keep a large supply of clean towels in the dog wash stall and there is a air dryer if your dog tolerates that.

I filled out not only one but two adoption request forms at the advice of the staff and even received a confirmation of acceptance and approval for the animal I was looking to adopt from Animal Friends Alliance. Upon calling the store hours later to coordinate pickup I was informed that they adopted her out earlier in the day regardless of the paperwork they already had on file. "First come first serve" must mean whoever is literally in front of their face at the time not whoever has already submitted their paperwork. Will not be working with Poudre Pet & Feed or Animal Friends Alliance on any future adoption searches

Update. We bought a harness from them for our dog that had grown out of her old one. It was 60 dollars, and broke the next day. We took it back. The girls inside said they dont exchange or refund that harness. The company that makes them is hard to work with. I fail to see how that is my problem. They said a manager would call me back within 48 hours. Well been weeks and no call. I didnt want my money back, just a replacement harness. Will no longer be doing business here. I will go to Hanks from now one. I hope you do as well. They care more for customer satisfaction. Very disappointed.

I have two dogs with different food allergies. I met with Emily today and a gentleman staff member (I can't remember his name but hopefully he sees this) and they were SO HELPFUL! They found multiple dry, canned and raw food that both of my dogs can eat. They spent over 45 mins with me reading ingredient labels and narrowing down my options. I really appreciate their time, now both of my dogs can eat the same food - with options to rotate in new proteins - with zero allergies (plus I can avoid allergy medicine).

Today was my first visit in. My partner and I adopted our first dog this morning and we needed all the things. The staff here is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. I was giving good recommendations for food and treats all of which the new pup seems to like. I'll be back! :).

Stopped in here today with my puppy. As a fairly new dog owner I was feeling pretty overwhelmed and clueless as far as what types of bones are good for dogs and which ones my new puppy would even enjoy. The employees here helped my puppy go from scared to enter the building to not wanting to leave and gave me a run down on what types of treats would be safe for his age group and beyond. They even let him try some things before I bought them to make sure he would enjoy them! So grateful for their help and for making me feel more at ease bringing a very excitable puppy to run errands with me. I will definitely be returning!

I have a dog with some SERIOUS allergies to kibble. Rosemary at the Loveland store spent about 30 minutes with me explaining all of the differences in the food and did so with a helpful smile on her face. I have been a long time customer and this visit solidified why I will always return to this local business for all of my pet related needs. Tnank you Rosemary!

Don't try to adopt here. My son spent two hours with a cat that he wanted to adopt. They would not let him leave with her because animal friends alliance would not respond to his application. He got the approval the next am but they let the cat go to someone else even though there were no applications for her at the time he completed his.

Update- It has been four years since my last review and I want to just say, Poudre Pet and Feed Loveland are still 5 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Emily has helped us continually through the years and I am grateful for her fantastic customer service skills and her extensive knowledge.The frequent buyer program for dog food is a great deal when you finally earn your free bag! Excellent customer service. If they don't have it, they can order it. It they can't order it, they usually tell me where to get it. Sometimes special ordering something takes longer than Amazon, but you can't beat the attentive customer service. Easy parking is always a bonus compared to the hustle and bustle of other stores.

I enjoy going to this store. Today I had an exceptional experience. The young lady who helped me was extremely knowledgeable. She was able to tell me the pros and cons of different brands of dry dog food. After I made my selections and was checking out she pointed out that if I purchased one more can of food I could get another can free. SUPER service and I'm always offered help out.

We have been supporting the Poudre Pet Supply stores for many years without any issues until... we were unable to purchase our brand of dog food so an employee offered to special order 2 bags. We waited 2 weeks and heard nothing from anyone regarding the order. We began to finish what was left and reluctantly bought a previously purchased brand. I understand the issues regarding producing and shipping as of recent. But a phone call would have been appreciated. We made 3 calls before resorting to Chewy. Not only did Chewy confirm the order they even called the dog food company in Canada and called us back with information. I will continue to support Poudre as this is the only incident and I want to support small local business. I would only like to suggest better customer service/communication. Chewy charged us for one bag and sent the second free of charge for our trouble within 3 days.
