Wonderful people who truly care for birds. We purchased our hand raised green cheek conure here in May of 2022 and she's amazing! Their abundance weaning and good diet helped her be open to a variety of fruits of veggies and she's so brave! We stop by whenever we're in Loveland.

Beautiful store, rude Employees, the 2 girls were a hot mess.. Customer service interviewing process was shocking. They need some 1 on 1 customer service training would be the best help for this store. Here's a tip for the interviewer... Maybe give them the Clipboard with all the questions that you guys want to know. Versus you sitting behind the counter with judgment. Didn't get a bird. She made the wrong choice by denying us in the middle of the paperwork. However, I was trying to save a bird's life from the sanctuary. Versus going to another store.But I understand at the same time again. Social skills is key. @pets'mart here I come.What a horrible experience to bring your child, Her and I were looking forward to it. I would not recommend it. My daughter is also on the spectrum. With the first experience for my daughter to try to help the unfortunate birds @ sanctuary.She was absolutely heartbroken that she couldn't save and adopt a bird. Ugh

Very knowledgeable staff. Extremely friendly. Great play area to get to know your bird. Outstanding awareness of what bird can come out to play on their playstands compared to what customers are in the shop. The staff obviously loves their work.I boarded my little Squirt here for 8 days, amazing care, amazingly reasonable price, baby got a bath and a break trim. My little Squirt was very happy and comfy! Thank you Avalon.

The care of the birds is questionable an when brought up you will get attacked for it by the owner an some employees, may anyone who wants to buy a bird from here read all the reviews an responses an come to the conclusion that if it's good you get good if it's bad it's rude behavior an childish at times, if anything i think people who are buying birds from this place are rescuing them from the same fate.

My husband and I stopped by the store to JUST LOOK. Well we met Sunshine and fell in love. We did an interview to adopt her and placed her on a 7 day hold so our daughter could meet her. Sunshine loved her. By Friday we were picking up Sunshine. We purchased 2 parrot cages and a stand, Sunshine and lots of food and treats. What an amazing place. Sarah helped us through the whole adoption process. She was so polite, accommodating and knowledgeable. She answered our 100's of question with professionalism. Sunshine is happy, healthy and in her forever home. We can't thank you ladies enough. We couldn't be happier!!!!

The best bird store around! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. They were so kind and helpful in helping my little granddaughter choose the perfect cockatiel. I can't say enough about their honesty and knowledge! We now have 4 birds from here and they are nothing less than perfect! 10 out of 5 stars!Thank you Avalon Aviary!!

I recently got a macaw from Avalon and man what a beautiful journey it has been.The process was wonderful from the beginning to the end.We are enjoying getting to be in this sweet boys life .Thank you for doing the amazing work yall are doing and loving these babies until we can find them.The knowledge you all have is so helpful too.

Went up to Avalon about 1 1/2 years ago to see about getting a bird had put down a deposit on a grey but life kicked me in the teeth financially. And could not afford to get a grey but owner was very kind and helpful ended up getting a yellow sided green cheek conure from her. Owner and staff are super friendly and helped me find my bird. sad I could not get a grey but super happy with the conure I ended up getting. I recommend Avalon any time anyone asks me about my bird and where I got him. If I get a 2nd I will be going back to Avalon

Great people, very knowledgeable Sarah is awesome and fun to talk too. Just adopted Uriah the 16 year old calico macaw. He is an amazing new member of the family! Thanks Sarah and Suzanne. Promise he is in good hands and will be loved And well cared for. It is a must stop in store!

Horrible customer service. We had brought our kiddos in to see a bird and the lady running the store was very cold and short with us. Often completely ignoring us and saying every bird is unavailable since we have kids. Would not recommend this business purely for the horrible customer service.

My wife brings our kids there quite often and all of the staff except one lady, is ALL RUDE. Very unwelcoming. They act as if kids are a nuisance!! The owner is always making excuses to us on why we can’t hold birds when our kids are with us. Not welcoming one bit. She has been there about 5 times with our children and feels unwelcome every time. The blonde lady who is the owner is VERY rude and nasty. We are so interested in getting a bird but feel as if they wouldn’t even ever consider us.

They had a lot of good supplies and food for a variety of birds, and one of the store clerks was very friendly. However, there was an older grey-haired lady there who was quite short tempered and rude to my friend who asked a question. She rebuffed her, saying she was busy working on something. This is not an appropriate way to treat a paying customer. I am reluctant to return as a result.

I've been going here for years because they have Harrison's in the very fine form for my parakeets. The owner and her main cashier lady are always very borderline rude/snotty but I put up with it because I like to support local even though I'm coming from Greeley. For the past 2 years I have been taking my daughter with me because she loves to look at the birds (I think it needs to be said that we are always very respectful and do not stick fingers in cages, are calm etc). The owner was walking in behind us and my daughter was busy dipping her feet in the solution as required by the store and the look of annoyance / disgust that the owner gave my kid (since she caused her a slight delay) was shocking. Far from the only reason that I will no longer support them but definitely the final straw.

I boarded my beloved parrot at Avalon and they took such good care of him. Now I have a cockatiel I bought from them and I have another on the way. The staff is very nice and their selection for anything you need for your pet bird you can find there.

Went in to check out toys for my grey about two weeks ago, but when my husband and I entered we were not greeted by anyone but the beautiful macaws. The individual staffing the store sat at the counter on her phone and seemed bothered by our presence so we just checked out the birds and toys quickly before leaving. It seems like a nice store with healthy birds and enriching toys but I don't want to give my business to a place that treats customers like that.

I went into the location because I seen a bird online I was interested in. Unfortunately, the bird is a rescue and wouldn’t be a good fit because he, Buddy needs a home with no other pets. We left without a new pet ONLY because I’m still interested in getting a bird but I want to do my homework and get more educated about a bird we’re now interested in. The woman (sadly forgot her name) was extremely educated, compassionate, very knowledgeable in birds and an absolute joy to have conversation with. We will be getting a bird and most definitely will be here. I’m blown away at the customer service we had today and it was definitely refreshing.

Awesome place to visit, learn, and but from. They treat you like family and your pet like royalty, even though seeing the beautiful birds in a pet store is difficult for someone not experienced with pet stores, there staff was able to put me at ease immediately. There is genuine love for the animals here. I enjoyed holding one of the macaw's on my arm, seeing the selection available and knowing I could place an order at any time. We purchased an Amerikeet as a birthday gift for a friend. Great store, worth a visit.

What a great place with a wonderful selection of birds 🐦. Met a bird named Goldie that I absolutely loved. She was personalable and friendly and super smart. The staff was very helpful and kind answering all my questions. I absolutely love Goldie wish I could have taken her home! Well be back to this establishment to purchase a bird.

Was looking for a cockatiel to add to our family. They had several ready for sale. We picked a couple that looked interesting and we're allowed to take them into a visitation rooms and spent some time with them by ourselves. Great experience with the hand raised birds. Easy to find the right bird. Super helpful staff and they helped us plan out the best food. We came in from out of town and they held the bird for us till the next day when we were ready to travel.

Extremely disappointing and uncomfortable visit to Avalon Aviary today. My partner and I drove from Denver, full of excitement, and looking forward to talking to an expert about possibly adding a feathered friend to our happy home.The second we walked in the door we were “greeted” by a woman with a huge scowl on her face. It took everything out of her to ask us if we needed “help”. When I proceeded to explain to her we were hoping to talk with an expert about possibly purchasing a bird she rudely asked what our “home situation was like”. Don’t get me wrong, I totally expect these kind of questions but this woman was straight up nasty. A few more interactions were exchanged until I was so uncomfortable I left to go sit in the car while my partner kindly said good bye to this woman.I hope she’s not the owner but if you are, you are extremely rude and missed a great opportunity to place one of your many birds into a very loving home (not to mention a hefty sale).Beware about this place if you’re a newbie like us. Ruined our entire day.
