My old girl Freyja and I saw Dr. Lauren Rodriguez here last week. The experience was one of the best vetrinarian experiences I've had, and I've owned dogs for over 20 years. The (technician?) Chris/Kris was so helpful and friendly, and made both me and my dog feel at ease.Dr. Rodriguez was a GEM! Sometimes I can be a bit of a know-it-all (working on this), but she had the right information and presented it in the right way. I left with printed papers on what Freyja needed for her best health, and I actually ended up USING the papers!!! She was kind, engaged, and not only does she obviously care about animals -- she is excited about her job and what she does. That's just so nice to be around! They ended up helping me get her nails filed down a little, and reviewed a little bit of physical manipulation I can do to help her when she gets a back leg cramp (getting old isn't for sissies).I'm underemployed due to caretaking of a disabled family member, and this office found me a coupon to use for my visit. I did not feel shamed for having to put off several vaccinations for a few months. I felt that they knew I was doing my best to take care of my dog, and that is important to me. I'm hard enough on myself as it is.Overall, the clinic was clean, nicely decorated, didn't smell bad, and the visit was efficently handled in all areas. They followed up with a call the next day, and then later with lab work results. I really felt like they were a good team, at least on that day! I'm really grateful for this experience. I hope that the entire staff gets raises and promotions. <3

staff was very friendly and helpful. they were caring and gentle with my shy cat. I could tell they were familiar with how to interact with cats - some vets treat cats like dogs but Dr. G and the tech Alan were wonderful. Dr. G didn’t make me feel rushed and she explained treatment in detail.I also appreciated that they discussed cost of treatment with me prior to performing services so I had a heads up. they were knowledgeable and made my cat’s care feel personalized.usually I go to the vetco in my area but I needed an asap appointment. I liked that I was able to get in so soon and they really made my vet visit worth the long drive!I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I love these clinicians. Although they are often understaffed, they do so much and care so much about my fur kids. I work in the industry and am pretty picky about my practitioners and have enjoyed bringing them here.

This review is for the call center. The level of rudeness & the flat-out lying are concerning. While trying to obtain my dog's medical records, the lady who answered the phone was rude and lied to my new vet, telling her they would send the records and then never did. After my new vet attempted to get the records for the 3rd time, the girl outright lied and said they tried to call me for permission, but my voice-mail was full. LIES. Not only did they not attempt to call me, but my voice-mail is not full. Once I called them, the girl was rude and dismissive. She promised the records would be sent within 24 hours, and guess what? Its been over 24 hours, and they still have not sent them. This has already put us 5 days behind by going back and forth with the call center. And now, I am further behind because I will have to call again to be treated rudely after spending thousands of dollars at this vet. Beyond disappointed in the call center and will not use vetco again. Wish me luck as I attempt, for the 5th time, to obtain my dogs medical records 🤞

Nicole was very helpful and reassuring when I dropped my dog off for stitches. She took the time to explain the surgery process in detail. I really appreciated the willingness to work within my budget and tell me which tests and meds were recommended vs required. She really put me at ease, thank you again for being so thoughtful and caring.

I have never written a review before but my experience was so bad that I need to. I scheduled an appointment for my cat weeks in advance. When we got there they were closed due to the flooding that had happened. I was not notified whatsoever and when I called the number, they wouldn’t reschedule me and told me to do it online. I scheduled another appointment for about a month later. Unfortunately we got stuck behind a train on Martin street. I called in advance to let them know that we would be a little late and the man told me I needed to reschedule my appointment. This was ridiculous and a true inconvenience to me.

I'm so happy I found this place! These guys went above and beyond my expectations to accommodate my kitty's needs.They have the most accomplished, compassionate and competent veterinarians and assistants I've experienced.The wait-time to get my adopted kitty neutered, was obscene at every other veterinarian in this area. He's already in heat and spraying and I just can't wait that long.I called, explained my situation and they assisted me with the blood-work, physical and Leo is already on schedule for his neuter within days, not weeks!! Their sense of urgency made me feel important.Thank you, to the special staff that assisted me with Leo ❤

I am sorry to say cannot remember the name of the lovely lady that greeted our dog, Ezra today for his appointment (8/28). She has the same bday as our dog 🤣! She was so receptive and kind and she even made us feel at ease about bringing him in for a routine vaccination. He had encountered abuse in his past before we adopted him and he can be very nervous and shy at times. He is also a larger dog so people can be quick to discriminate. Thank you for your help today! Ezra was allowed to pick out a toy after his visit and he remained very at ease for the rest of the day! We have to keep these affordable services alive, people! Just give this woman a promotion already, Petco!

The vet tech and doctors were great with out Pit bull, Charlie. He is having bad neck pain and they never judged him for his breed and just took great care of him. Charlie thanks you !!! soon he’ll be back out exploring in the mountains his favorite ❤️

I took my cat here he had gotten hurt very badly he had puss coming out of his eye it was horrible to see him the way he was he could barley open his eye it was so swollen almost as big as a ball and a hole looked to be forming the vet literally looked at him said that if looked like it hurt but there wasn’t much they could do on top of that I had lost my little red wallet that had everything my ssn my Id everything. I literally didn’t leave the Vetco area I remember I had it when we went back to the room and I set it down next thing I know it’s time to pay and my wallet is gone no trace of it. I was heated I asked all the people working that day if they had possibly seen it all of them said no. I went home obviously raged I continued to call them every day to see if anything had come up. They told me they would call if they see it or someone brings it to them they never called me what so ever.

Been a long time customer at the vet clinic here for my pups and I ran 5 minutes late and they turned me away. I had taken off work and got stuck in hail after driving over an hour. My puppy just had strangles skin disease and we were very anxious to get his vaccines asap so that he doesn’t get even worse. The vet doesn’t care about that here I guess after sending me away saying I need to call their “call center” and talk to someone who doesn’t even work at that location to reschedule. I wouldn’t recommend this location for any of your pups needs. Never going back.

I don't recommend Vetco Total Care. While the doctors there and staff have always been nice, there's been a constant change of doctors over the years which makes it impossible to establish a good doctor client relationship. You can also not call them directly and always have to speak to someone in a call center in India who obviously knows nothing about the issue you are calling about. It is impossible to speak to a doctor on the phone, and they always have you come back for a visit, even if you have just been in a couple of weeks ago for any question you may have for your vet. This is why I am now switching vets, since I was asked to bring in my dog again, even though she was just seen 5 weeks ago, just so I can speak directly to the vet and ask her about my dog's medication and a new prescription. I initially chose that vet clinic years ago when they were still owned by Thrive, because one of my dogs needed surgery and at the time they had the lowest prices. But now since Vetco has bought the place, prices are just as high as in other clinics, and at least other places' vets don't change all the time and they also don't ask you to come in and charge you for a full visit just because you have a question.

Came in with my cat for the first time, and the front desk and staff was very sweet. The vet was a little confusing at first about the treatments recommended but after asking questions, we finally were about to come up with a treatment plan that didn't break the bank. Will follow up with them!

I will begin by saying that we met our fair share of vets having kitties who have had numerous medical concerns and have required specialty and emergency services in addition to regular vet visits. We started going to Thrive recently and have had a wonderful experience with initial 2 appointments. First visit was a physical and vaccines and then 2 weeks later had to take her for some new concerns. We will be having her dental work completed here and we found out at her last appointment she is diabetic. Dr. Durand was incredible. He explained everything clearly without overwhelming us. He provided reading material so we could read at home, digest the new diagnosis and allow for questions before beginning treatment. He will also he the Vet completing her dental procedure and both my husband and myself feel comfortable and at ease knowing that. All the staff are amazing, patient, kind and compassionate. Prices are reasonable and they have a VIP program that allows for a discount off services. We will continue to use Thrive as our Vet clinic.

I was just in for my dogs wellness and vaccines and the Thrive team took every step in ensuring my Bailey was comfortable.Which was a nervous worry of mine since she has shown as she’s gotten older to not like strangers and either choosing flight or nip.Despite my concerns once they brought her back to me I was told she showed no signs of aggression and was kept comfortable the whole time and behaved very well.While this may seem small, I’m very happy and satisfied with the treatment their staff puts into caring for their fuzzy patients and at reasonable low costs!

I am so happy I took my two cats here before we move across the country! Despite us being a few minutes late (not saying being late is okay- its not- please be on time!) the team was so kind & helpful with all of my questions & concerns, they gave me the confidence I needed to take my cats on an airplane for the first time. Quick & painless for both myself & my cats, the staff was so personable and kind, if I wasn't moving I would continue to take my cats here. Highly recommend this location for affordable & great pet care!

When this was Thrive they were great. Now that they are vetco you can't call and talk to them personally and have to go through a call center, it is terrible. Took my dog over two weeks ago. They sent off x-rays and told me it would be a week. I called a week later and the call center said they didn't have any results yet. I called two weeks later and spoke again to the call center. I was rudely told to stop calling they would call me when they had results. Very rude and unprofessional. Had to take my dog to a different vet as she got so much worse in the two weeks waiting for results I still haven't received. Would not recommend Vetco.

Always suggest Vetco to people in my life. They are super transparent with their prices and suggestions. They never push you to do anything. Never make you feel obligated to do expensive, potentially unnecessary things. Non judge mental about your choices. Glad I take my pets there

I had the best visit here with my cat! Making the appointment was super easy and they sent lots of reminders so we didn't forget it was coming up. The woman at check in was so friendly, took time to chat, and get to know us. They had Kitty's name up on the board of the pets they were excited to see that day and it felt so sweet! It's super clean and not a huge clinic so it was really relaxed - not a ton of pets waiting to stress each other out. The vet we saw, Dr. Steiner, was AMAZING!! She took time to make Kitty comfortable and let her get familiar before getting her exam. Just a wellness visit so nothing more this time, but we'll definitely be back. So easy and convenient!

My normal vet is closed on the weekends and I was so happy I was able to make a same day appt for my kitty that had an injured leg. Dr. Durand was awesome and thoroughly explained everything they did during the exam, he even took pictures on his phone to show me the X-ray they took since I was not allowed to go back in the exam room. All the vet techs were great and friendly as well as the front desk! Will definitely consider coming back here again, thank you for taking such care of my baby!

Brought our dog in today to fix a broken nail. The customer service that was provided was exceptional. Our dog is especially reactive, but Kate went out of her way to make our dog feel at home. Something I thought would be very expensive turned out to be completely affordable. We will definitely continue to come here in the future!

We first found Thrive when we were searching for low-cost dental work for my senior dog. Dr. Durand was the first vet we met there, and he was very friendly, funny, and explained everything in plain terms. He didn't pull any punches, but he didn't make us feel bad for the state of our dog's teeth, either.After that first experience, we started going to Thrive regularly. In the final months of my oldest cat's life, Thrive did everything they could to help her, and when funds were running low, Dr. Durand helped us as much as he could. I cannot overstate how good Thrive's prices are, but even when that was too much, Dr. Durand did everything he could. I've always felt like he cares immensely for his patients.When we came into a new kitten, we got Dr. Durand again, and when things went wrong and our kitten needed emergency care, he was right on it. I cannot explain the relief I felt, intercepting him as he came into the clinic to tearfully say what was wrong, and having him take the kitten into the back, no questions asked.Our kitten should be fine; he's at the emergency vet overnight right now, but I felt like I needed to write this review. Thrive is affordable, easy to work with, friendly, kind, and caring (or at least this Longmont location absolutely is; they're the only ones we've seen). Dr. Durand especially is incredible, not only as a vet, but as a person. Trust that your animal is in good hands with him.

The whole team at Thrive is terrific. They have helped me with a number of issues with my cats during covid. They are responsive, kind, and they always put me at ease. I know my pets receive loving and attentive care at the clinic. One of my adult cats had a severe reaction to a new food in November 2020, and the team at Thrive saved her life. They are readily available for questions, and all around fantastic.

I am so impressed with the Thrive staff, very compassionate, knowledgeable, and attentive. They create a very warm and welcoming environment and have made the whole process incredibly enjoyable and easy. Lastly, it’s very affordable compared to any other veterinarian in Boulder County.
