This store is close to my house, so I shop here out of convenience.. however they're almost always out of Gluten Free products, and are constantly eliminating GF options. However, my main issue lies with my first ever pick-up order. I was notified FIVE minutes before pick-up that it was going to be late. I left, and mentioned I'd be back at 6:30. I got there at 6:25, and waited until 6:35 when I finally went into the store to get my own items. Half my order was substituted with more expensive items that I ended up denying. I was charged for 7 bags, given 4. Strawberries were smashed and old. The only reason I tried this was a $30off coupon, and I definitely won't be doing it again. The Ken Pratt store is SO much more put together.

Lack.of staff is the worse. I had to bag most of my $250 purchase. I did have help out to my car (I am handicap). Common items were not available. Sale items were not good. I tried to order for pickup but the site was not working despite several attempts. The deli was good, good quality and great help.

I thought a certain problem was limited to a Fort Collins store, but apparently it's everywhere. Safeway stores have, for many years, put expired items on the shelf and in the cases. They also have a problem putting refrigerator items on the shelf, which could result in serious illness in addition to the expired stock.I cannot understand why this grocery chain keeps doing this, but I call that Mismanagement. Avoid this and other Safeway stores. Go to King Soopers instead.

A standard Safeway. Has a decent beer selection with some local stuff.Got a spicy chicken sandwich from their deli, was pretty good, comparable to Wendy’s, maybe not worth the $5, but a good snack.

Lychees, Jackfruit, and Large avocados! Prices are a bit high on some items but less crowded and some neat treasures await. I bought a 17lb jackfruit thinking it was a spikey watermelon like we had in Nam, but nope. It had meat fruit! I made some tacos from it and how divine. I also love their avocados. I ate so many I tuned into one. Thank you Safeway. I feel safe.

Prices are a bit high...but it is Colorado so everything and everyone is high. Regardless...it is close to my house and I grill every night and it gives me some good eats. That is why I am a chunk!

This is the Safeway across from my neighborhood and recently it has been going downhill quick. There’s hardly any staff for the registers and lines are often backed up to ridiculous lengths. Not worth the extra prices on most foods in this store for such an annoying shopping experience.

Only reason I shop here is convenience. If anything else were closer I'd go there. Now it seems I'll be going elsewhere anyways. Tried to exchange a pizza with tainted salami on it and they refused due to no receipt. It was bought under my phone number and there was no doubt it was theirs and still had a sell date of today(7/26). Went to their shelf and found the other two meat pizzas were also bad. Then tried to use a coupon that had no restrictions listed on a frozen version of their pizza and was also denied. Pictures are of the TWO pizzas on their shelf. Salami is bad inside a sealed package

Updated on 12/18/19 - I spoke with Terry and he made things right. He apologized and said they should have allowed for an exchange or issued a refund. I'm really pleased with how he handled this. I'm giving 5 stars for making things right.Purchased some milk. Noticed a little bit of mold on the inside. Went to return it but no longer had receipt. They were unable (unwilling?) to look up the purchase using my club card. I’m certain their club card tracks every single purchase I make. They should have a way to look it up, especially when their competitors can easily do it. Anyway, I was disappointed they did not issue a refund. Emailed their customer service and hope they can come up with a resolution. I am willing to revise my review depending on the outcome. Why upset a 20+ year customer over a few dollars?

We called ahead 15 minutes to ask the butcher if they had beef shank were told to come up and ask and they would bring it out only to show up wait around for an additional 10 minutes just to be told they were out

This store is super clean, well-stocked, and organized.The staff are friendly and helpful. AND I saved $14 on a special they were running on pork! A competitor's store is much closer to my house, but it is so worth driving the extra miles to have a calm and easy shopping trip compared to the crowded, and hectic environment of the other store!

Online and store doors say open at 6AM. Store is not open and had a few people walk up to the same issue to turn around and leave. Adjust your store hours if your doors are not actually open or retrain your opening staff on how to unlock doors for correct time.

You need to give Troy a raise, I dont leave reviews, but he was exceptionally caring and compassionate. I had to buy Chicken and rice for my dog, hes been sick. Troy went above and beyond to give me the correct discount on the chicken, and told me he hoped my dog was ok. I've been in self checkout when he has been there before, and he is so nice. Thanks Troy, Safeway has a true jem with you. I appreciate your kindness

This might be one of the worst grocery stores in Longmont. I don't know it's a toss-up between this one or the King Soopers up at 21st and main. They never have anything in stock unless it's absolute garbage food. The items that are usually worth purchasing are never in stock on the shelves. It's just not worth my time to even try to grocery shop at the store anymore. I'll drive across town to the better stores to shop.

I cooked a chicken breast I purchased from Safeway at 1632 Hover St, Longmont, CO 80501. While eating it, I almost swallowed a rubber band that was apparently attached to it in which, I did not see nor do the instructions tell you to remove such. District manager is also VERY unprofessional. The district manager's boss is also very unprofessional too I've called twice in a month and no one has called me back I have no interest in dealing with the lousy store manager.

Misleading sale of rib eye steaks. Advertised a price of$5.47/lb, if your transaction was at least $50. My total was over $90 including the steaks. However, when I got home I noticed that I was charged the full price of $8.99/lb. I guess you had to spend $50 over and above the steaks! That should have been me clearly stated.

This store is fine enough for a neighborhood store. The organic produce selection isn't very good. Their world foods, flowers and general produce is good. The store just feels dingy to me. It's not my favorite place to grocery shop in a town with a TON of options- BUT it's super close to my home.

My Son and new Daughter worked at this Safeway in Colorado where the managers are 100% professionals and masters at training efficiently and thoroughly. You'll feel right at home h⁶. as you grab them few items needed around the house that seem to always slip our minds at the big box stores.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The pharmacy staff are completely incompetent. Every month I am having an issue with my medication being filled. It isn't a narcotic its fairly common medication. There is always an issue and I never receive a call, when you try to call you can't get through. I don't use insurance and its always there is an insurance issue or a notice to call the doctor. I have repeatedly asked for a call if there is an issue so I don't waste my time driving there for nothing. Monika has a terrible attitude and speaks to customers so rudely and condescending. There is never an apology for their actions just a "mmm" or "oh". They could do a lot better to serve their customers. I understand everywhere is understaffed but they could do much with the little help they have.

This store is very unfriendly to people with mobility issues.I have never been a fan of Safeway. The prices are slightly more, everything is harder to find, and I don’t like being unable to mute the voice at self checkout.I do appreciate that this one store was open on Christmas so I was able to get a few thing I’d forgotten, but this Safeway became a serious problem for me today. They closed their smaller set of doors on the north side of the building. That’s where all the handicapped spots are. I don’t mind them closing a set of doors as it reduces the grab and dash problems. The problem is the lack of adequate handicapped spots, or rather, the complete lack of any anywhere near the main entrance.

It's quite the congenial store actually. The staff are always friendly and get to know you after a few times being in. Their products are what you'd expect but the location is superb.I wouldn't not walk in to cash any sort of check, their fees are exorbitant but for day to day shopping, absolutely. Check out their deli for pasta salad and more, always super fresh.

It was easy to find what I was looking for. I used the self check out. A couple of them were not working. I noticed a couple of people had problems but there was a employee there that helped them finish their transactions. I thought prices were a little higher than I'm use to.
