Rod is a great guy to work with. He is very helpful. He is a busy guy and can be hard to get a hold of sometimes, but he always got back to us. We have a small Aquaponic system and wanted to stock it with some cold hardy fish, so we are not wasting so much energy on heating the water. Yellow perch is what we decided on. Not only are they cold hardy, but they also taste great! Rod fished out the small order of about 30 fish for us, neatly packaged them up, provided them with enough oxygen for transport, and gave us some great tips on ensuring their survival. About 9 months later, and the fish are doing great! Thank you Rod for your willingness to support small aquaponic growers like us! I would recommend you to anyone looking to source fish locally in Colorado. Keep up the great work and Thank you again!

The owner of Beavers Fish Farm Rod Beaver helped us stock our small pond in Agate last spring. The fish arrived healthy and ready to start spawning. We only had three floaters after the delivery. Rod took special care to make certain that the fish traveled as well as possible. We stocked over 200 fish plus minnows and had a spawn of Large mouth and flat heads almost immediately. As spring has started to arrive we have had only two fish die thanks again to great advice and information that Rod has provided. We are getting ready to do another small stocking this spring. Thank you Rod for providing A plus service.

Rod has a pretty sweet set up out there, and All the fish I order from him are always healthy, and he sells them at a pretty reasonable price. They’re right there in stock. Honestly probably the only go to place if you have an aquarium you want to stock native fish with in Colorado.

I looked so many places for some 'wild' fish for my greenhouse pond.....called Department of Wildlife, called half a dozen hatcheries.........no one could tell me what kind of fish would work for my application, or was interested in selling me just ten fish. I finally got referred to Rod at Beaver's Fish Farm! Rod was not only super helpful, he was willing to take time out of his day to catch ten little fish for me (I have since bought another dozen), as well as give me advice on what and how to feed them! This is a family run business, and I can not say enough good things about the experience. I would highly recommend them, whether you are a hobbyist like me, or have a big pond or lake.
