Had a great experience with Keepin It Reef! Everyone that works there has been super helpful and knowledgeable. We just started our first saltwater tank and they’ve been very helpful! Just put our first fish in the tank!

Reisa, Joel and Alexa have been fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful and a pleasure to learn from and work with. My wife and I have been amateur Aquarist for years with Koi ponds and Freshwater aquariums. We were cycling another aquarium for Cychlids and went to Keepin It Reef, best decision we have made in years. In the end Reisa asked if we really wanted Cychlids, because our desire and discussion was really better suited for a change to Saltwater. Reisa and Joel patiently walked us through the pros and cons and that afternoon we had drained our aquarium and we were cycling Saltwater. We visited several times for free water checks and to pick their brains as we "patiently " waited for the tank to cycle. Well today is my wife's birthday and we visited again with hopes that our tank had cycled to a point where it was safe to introduce the first fish. Reisa, Joel and Alexa confirmed that the tank was there and we are so excited to welcome our first pair of Clownfish.If you are looking for a well stocked store with a knowledgeable team that have the patience of a Kindergarten teacher, but the expertise of a professor...then look no more. Keepin It Reef is that Aquarist gold mine.

Carl and Joel are great! They answer all my questions and offer solutions. I had struggled with getting the tank levels correct and used PNS ProBio as suggested and my fish are happy! They go out of the way to order any fish I may want and know me by name which is great customer service.

This is a great store with excellent products. The employees are knowledgeable, patient, and hardworking. All of the fish and corals are healthy and vibrant. We ended up purchasing a full setup with everything included. They delivered the same day and installed the tank where we wanted it. We love our new tank and are excited to add more to it. I’m new to the Denver area and it’s been hard to find a good marine store but I had a friend tell me to go to Keepin It Reef. I had visited other stores in the area (from the springs to Loveland) and wasn’t too impressed overall. Being from Florida I have relatively high expectations and standards for stores. The staff here are very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and they have reasonable pricing! If you’re considering starting a tank or if you’ve had one for many years I definitely would recommend stopping by!

Wonderful place! I’ve been having an issue with dinoflagellates in my tank and these guys helped me tackle it! They were knowledgeable and so easy to talk with. Besides that they have a great selection of fish to look at! Recommend! :)

This store has good quality goldfish. We purchased 4 gold fish from them 6 weeks ago, and the fish are thriving in our fish tank.It has a nice family oriented feeling at the store, and I hope that small businesses like this will stay alive and prosper so that we can still have a neighborhood feeling in the years to come.The staff is pretty acknowledgeable, and they tend to leave you alone if you're not asking a lot of questions or are just browsing. But, for other customers who had a lot of questions, the staff seem pretty nice and receptive to questions.The shop has both fresh water and salt water fish, as well as supplies such as driftwood and fish food and plants and crab and shrimp...an upside down catfish lol. Reasonable prices.

We entered the reef hobby within the past year, and the guys at Keepin' it Reef have been one of our support systems as we learn - everything from fish and CUC selection, to foods, and everything in-between. Stopped by due to good reviews for corals… got the corals home and dipped them. So many nasty crutters came out of the corals… never seen that at other places I by corals from. Makes me very skeptical of their tanks and stuff their tanks contain… ended up selling the corals I got to Aquatic Art because I couldnt treat them at home as more stuff kept crawling out. Would not recommend honestly, seems like a huge risk of bringing desires and unwanted hikers into my tank.

Im super super happy I made the drive to check out their store opening weekend. They have a decent selection of coral and fish and everything looked healthy. None of the fish shad any visible issues and they were behaving normally. They’re working on a whole other showroom for livestock which will double their size so I can’t wait for that!! They were also super patient and helpful and answered all of the questions I had (there were many). Will definitely visit in the future despite the distance.

Do not buy fresh a water fish from this store, had to rescue 2 angel fish and they are doing wonderfully now. But hey we’re on the verge of death because these guys are quite careless. They should have paid me to take these fish. Anyways they were also rude over the phone when I was just giving simple follow up information on their health. Do not go here as a trusted source. Plenty of fish to rescue though.

This shop, Carl and all of the KIR crew are all amazing. I was there opening day and will continue to shop with them. Great prices on coral, they're ot getting rich off every customer like some more northern shops and they remember my name when I go in. 10/10 definitely recommend!!!!
