We have brought our dogs to day care a couple of times now when we ski. The owner, Adam, is very good with them when we drop them off. Our youngest dog is shy and she is getting better each time she goes. I would recommend it. The price is reasonable.

Mountain Dogs is the best!! The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and kind. My dog absolutely LOVES his daycare visits! He literally can’t get out of the car fast enough when we pull up, and he’s nice a tired when I pick him up! I highly recommend Mountain Dogs Romp and Chomp for your furry friend!

Veronica and Steph know and love dogs and it shows! When we pull up to the parking lot my dog (Agnew) gets so excited he can hardly contain himself. He is always happy and tired after a day of romp and chomp with his buddies!

In order to attend Leadville's recent Boom Days, I was forced to find temporary care for my two small dogs, as the city had an aggressive "No Dogs" policy. Luckily, I found Mountain Dogs Romp and Chomp. In my many years of extending RV'ing, often requiring temporary care of my dogs, I have never encountered a more caring, attentive, and safe facility. From scheduling services to individualized care, Mountain Dogs provided a level of interest in my dogs that would rival any in-home setting. I am highly thankful for their efforts and strongly recommend Mountain Dogs Romp and Chomp.

Under new ownership! We took our dog there for day care, and he had an amazing time. The owner and the staff are all extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and great with animals. It's so great to see people who are so enthusiastic about their business. I highly recommend it, and can't wait to come back again.

I only buy my dry dog and cat food here, but that's because I feed my pets a higher protein diet. The prices are reasonable for the types of treats, food and equipment you are looking for. Like I bought these cool treats that are for both dogs and cats but the smallest size they had was like $20, but my pets love it. It's worth visiting to see what kind of new things your dog might like...also they board spayed and neutered (pets?) I've seen cats there...

When this was called Warm Nose Cold Heart we never had an issue. This past time I took 4 of my dogs to get groomed. They didn’t groom them like asked. We asked for the shortest possible cut. They only trimmed. They stated that for puppies they only do as much as possible to try and prevent any trauma. Which is understandable. One of the 4 has been there many times. They still had the same excuse. They said we could reschedule for the 4th to get it rescheduled, and they would charge me again. I am super upset my dogs get super warm during the summer months. I couldn’t be there to drop them off as I had a family member pass away and had to fly out of state. However, I did have someone drop them off. They didn’t speak English, but my cousin was able to interpret. Super disappointed.

Not only does this lady have ACTUALLY good dog food brands, but she has just about everything in a very small setting. Pretty astonishing and clean for being a place meant for dogs and dirty hippies. This is the only place you'll find quality food in Leadville or in any other small city nearby. Worth the drive. She orders straight from the manufacturer and will give you free samples for you dogs so that you can get them something you know they'll like.

The guy didn't know what problems the pet CBD was good for. He had no idea if they carried soft dry food for cats or a mixture of soft and crunchy. This store has decent reviews but I think it's a store geared for dogs only. Wish they'd make that clear. I wouldn't have wasted my time.

My husband and I came to Leadville for the month of April to work remotely and spend time in the mountains. We brought our 12 month old Brittany Spaniel. We knew that we would be taking him with us most places, but wanted a place for him to spend the day when we went skiing or various adventures on the weekends. We found Mountain Dogs via Google and began corresponding with Veronica before we made the trip out from Tennessee. Mountain Dogs requires a temperament exam which we appreciated and also loved that they offered 1/2 of daycare so Finn could get some energy out while we worked. We immediately felt like Finn was in good hands and trusted Veronica, Steph and the staff. We planned an overnight trip to Denver and our dog sitter (in Denver) cancelled on us the night before we were set to leave. We called Steph and they were able to take Finn for boarding last minute, they even accommodate some special needs for Finn. Their prices are fare and the customer service is exceptional. We cannot recommend them enough!

This place offers"Play-Date Tuesdays " Boarding, CBD OILS, AND SELF BATHING as well as full salon for the puppers!! When you're up on top of the "Highest City in America" do yourself a favor and stop in to say "HI"!..lol

CNWH is a great addition to our town. Not only can I get healthy pet food but Carol and her staff are very helpful/knowledgable and truly care about animals. My dog loves to go for afternoon dog play dates. He need the socialization and has made many dog friends! I know he is always in good hands when I drop him off.

A small, privately owned and operated pet store with wonderful staff. I went in for ferret litter, which is not what most people look for, and the employee took the time to find what I needed.The store is a bit cramped, but otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

We travel full time but Cold Nose Warm Heart was able to fit in both our great dane and our husky this week. They were very sweet and didn't make our dane go in a crate, they instead have large fenced in spaces which was much less stressful for him. They both smell AMAZING and our danes ears went in looking pretty grimey and came out squeaky clean. It was also 2/3 the price I was expecting! (Our dane in the photo is camera shy so he is giving his dad a hug)
